HAHA i gave up on guildwars with the terrible broken promises reguarding ranger changes around the haloween patch, im glad too see ive made the right choice, knock WoW all you like, compared too this there customer service is gold

Wow there are a lot of players on this forum who don’t have teams. I wonder what would happen if they started talking to each other.

even if i had a team i want too be able to play alone sometime without getting stomped on and theres no way a team outside of a guild would work on a regular basis due too time problems

i used to really enjoy tPvP but with the arrival of paid tourneys it seems pugs are no longer welcome in tpvp with premades bashing them contently with 9/10 of my games played were me and a bunch of <rank 15s vs a premade team of 30-40s i assume this is to gain tickets for the paid tourny but i cant even get past round one now because of inbalences, im really fed up and i have given up, half the time i even play my moral is shattered when i see players next to me in the start gear because i know that the out come of us winning will be <50% to be generous

its not the low level players fault. its anets for not putting in some kind of ranking system for a competitive game they want to evolve into a esport

so for me PvP is dead, it had a good run of about 600 games but its over now im not playing the unorganized mess that is 8v8 as for me the “S” in spvp stands for structured and 8v8 is anything but structured, for me its just for casually gaining rank points when your not bothered about winning or losing

sPvP for anyone but the hardcore pvp is crippled in the hospital and only anet can save it, will they? i dont understand why Anet doesn’t use something like the GLICKO system, maybe they simply want to reward people that put the effort into organised premades to get a free ride there on out whilst the people who prefer to play alone just get stomped in the dirt, i dont know however i believe premades should fight other premades only and get additional rewards and a Pug torney should be available OR a ranking system as a group of lvl 30-40 Pugs may still be at a disadvantage vs a grp of 30-40 premades but at least they can retain hope as they all know what they are doing

P.S i know rank dosent = skill but i also believe rank 1-15s don’t have the same knowledge of the game in general as rank 30s who have played like 5x as much as them.

please please PLEASE do something about this, ideas include

only let 1-3 people Que together
make a free 5v5 premade Tourny with better rewards

also sick of joining and being a man down from the start, games shouldnt start when this is the case.

yea so every day around 6pm gmt which is peak time in the EU i get unplayable lag in pvp games / pvp chat while chat such as guild and party remains lag free. i tested my internet and im currently getting 50mb Dl speed, so why the lag?

p.s pvp is fine outside of peak time

also swapping characters works, i swapped mid tourney to my guardian and got no lag, weird stuff

as a dev has stated “you dont want to the 28th Mid day” obviously he meant US times and with all the confusion over the start date of act on EU servers i think it would be a good idea to clarify when this event begins on the 28th (or 29th as may be the case) for the EU in GMT or another EU time

Server is Underworld which is high pop

the past 2 days i have had unbearable lag since around 7GMT, let me just say this is not a FPS issue around lions arch which some people have been mentioning the issues i get are as follows
1.delay in guild messages
2. in time guild logo turns into [] and when i try to chat it says “you are not in a guild”
3.Party chat and area chat begin to suffer delays and eventually messeges arnt sent.
4.log in issues. as an effort to fix these issues i relog and get stuck on loading screens. (partically on chars entering LA)
5. eventually relog and probs are fixed
6. happens again
7. get kitten-ed off and post on forums
8. only im online in guild

i should mention ive never had this problem before and as i said its fine the rest of the day just peak time.

Please Please PLEASE tell me this affects the rangers horrible 1hsword issue which hinders dodging by rooting the player! and or makes the greatsword more viable specifically in PvE. these changes would put me over the moon!

I just checked both emails I received from GW2 about the Halloween event and it says this in the first email..

“From 23 October until 2 November (European dates), Halloween goes off the rails, and you’re exactly the right person to fix it.”

This is from the second email..

“From October 22, 2012 until November 1, 2012, Halloween goes off the rails, and you’re exactly the right person to fix it.”

So for us Europeans, we won’t be getting it until tomorrow anyway. As for the actual time the patch will be released, I have no idea. Whilst I have little to pick at with GW2, a clearer estimated release time would be appreciated.

i know their are allot of threads about clipping issues and charr out their but this specific issue REALLY frustrates me, they are really nice looking shoulders that actually suite ranger which when you are charr is something that’s hard to come by however there is a MAJOR visual issue with regards to the collar which i have attached a clip so you can see just how bad this looks, its like they didn’t even view the item on the charr race before release.
also i would like to add it is just as bad when worn with the matching set

im really starting to hate playing the ranger class because for me upgrading my characters looks is very important to me especially considering the way guild wars works where end game gearing is more about the skin then the stats and Aurora shoulders are one of the only shoulder items i like that keep my appearance “rangery” fancy items like the CoF set are great for some people but i like looking like a ranger, thats a major reason why i made a ranger after all.

i logged into wow…….and then saw howkitten poor the textures were, so logged back into Guild wars :P

yea it is only a day true, but there are ALOT of bugged skill points out there as for the node farming Anet has openly said that’s ok and not an exploit (i don’t do it myself im too busy actually PLAYING the game) but still.

Until you fix all these Skill point bugs!, swapping servers and then swapping back is often the only way to get some skill points, for instance there were TWO bugged in mount maelstorm alone. now i cant play with my m8 later because of this restriction.

im a level 80 short bow/axe+Wh ranger and im just wondering what everyone opinions for what best runes on a ranger in a PvE, (specificaly dungeon) situation would be, atm im using coral on all my accessory, bleed on my short bow and Krait 5/6 on my armor (purely for cheapness) im thinking of going ranger as my gear has rampager stats and i have no boost to my crit damage from it, however runes and sigils is a very expensive business for me to mess up? anyone else have an opinion on what runes for condition dmg ranger?
