Guild Wars 2

Currently i’m maining a DH, also has a Rev alt. Slowly working my way towards Bolt as I LOVE the look of the weap, as i’m always a fan of 1h sword in any game.

I play mostly open world PvE, and look of the character is just as important for me. I probably will not switch my guardian to using 1h sword as i feel it looks silly with focus/warhorn, and shield is not good enough 99% of the time.

Thinking about Rev sword/shield which probably look best, but im not really into Rev after 30 or so hrs of gameplay.

Is there any other class that I should try to make sword works? Both in terms of open world PvE effectiveness and the overall look of the toon.

I think for now if you want to do meta you will need to look out for taxi in LFG.

As a “mostly” solo player I got into a taxi last night while VB day cycle just started. Then I helped out with getting ppl in and we had a sizable number of ppl. Got to tier 3 with ease, then…. “A new build will be ready in 10 minutes.”…. kitten it… We did got to Tier 4 with about 10 mins left but had to log after reward since there wasn’t enough time to finish night cycle (I was at 180% participation). Had it not been a patch I have no doubt that we can finish night T4

I’m currently going thru LS2 chp5. I got gw2 early in the year and was only able to unlock the last chp. I got the ultimate HoT which came with gems and the first thing that I did with them was to unlock all LS2.

I am ok with their approach since this is entirely OPTIONAL. If you want to play thru the story then you buy it (with purchased gems or convert via in-game gold). “Paying for past content” is same as paying to see an old movie, maybe you want to watch the first Hunger Game before the new one in theatre, but you missed it while it aired for free last Sunday night on cable, now you can either pay for a bluray/dvd/netflix/etc, or read about it online, or just skip it and watch the new one.

So far I am enjoying it, but also kind of rushing thru it so I can start with HoT story (level’ed a Rev with only 30 tomes used, also played thru the whole gw2 story again)

For me I will still do the full precursor quests even learning the price difference. It is all about the EXPERIENCE. Starting from scratch, and follow a long journey to get your precursor, and eventually upgrade it to a legendary. I work hard enough during the day to worry about farming for in game gold. I have enough money to convert gems to legendary anytime I want. But mmo for me is all about the playing experience, and time is never an issue in gw2 (unlike other mmo where once you slack behind you will never catch up), I will enjoy spending many months in creating my first legendary.
