True: When I am happy, things will change.

Actual suggestion:
Portal free zones in jumping puzzle areas.
Or anything that lowers the reward for using this method. (Debuff for example – Any chest rewards less for x amount of time after using portal)
…
I do expect a lot of hate and disapproval. Even friends of mine don’t like the fact they need to be able to jump. It will take an effort and that will make those lazy people here rage But try to keep things civilized.
I’m gonna delete you from my friend list.. -.-
Just kidding, but seriously, yeah, I don’t like this because I’m really really bad at jp’s. And I don’t enjoy them at all. Sure I can try a jp 1000x if I want to because they are permanent (most), but that doesn’t change the fact that I will die 1000x and that I played 1000x +/- 2 minutes (wasted time)?
If this suggestion gets through, no problem, it’s only a game, I’ll park some alts on the LA jp’s and that’s as far as it goes. I’ll still need guidance of a friendly person tho XD
Actually it doesn’t matter much since I don’t like jp’s since I’m so bad at them, so I don’t really bother with them either, it’s just a waste of time, so honestly, if they change this or not, doesn’t make a difference.
Have fun all.
Ps: Merujsy: Want to help me park my alts? :p
Oh wait, almost forgot, Anet please make this happen, but also implement baby rainbows from super adventure box for me and the other jp pro’s, everyone’s happy XD
Look, I’ll make a little list:
1) Daily pve or pvp
2) Monthly pve or pvp
3) I want to help the guild with guild missions
4) Living story every 2 weeks
5) Would be nice if I could do a daily cof run for equipping new characters and to get a little bit of gold
6) Leveling a new character
7) Play some wvw
8) Do fractals
Oh wait, why am I even writing these things down? That list isn’t even complete, but at the same time it’s already more than I can handle.. I’m what, lv 7 or something on fractals.. I barely wvw, I skip pvp a lot, I don’t bother with stories or lore anymore, I don’t bother with main story of characters or map completion, oh wait, I even stopped leveling characters, I just crafted my second one to 80 which is lame. These days I don’t even do a daily cof run anymore and I’m thinking about not really bothering with the living story either.. And for those people that want or have a legendary, well, I’d love that too, they look awesome, but I will never ever get one, it’s impossible for me and I don’t mind.
Does my situation sound familiar to someone?
I’m pretty sure there are a lot of people out there who can’t handle the living story in 2 weeks time only. So if it would be there a little bit longer, that would be nice. If not, so be it, doesn’t really matter much, it’s just a game after all.

You Think Living World is too:
[x] Time Consuming
[x] Temporary
I notice almost everyone here says the living world is too temporary.. Shouldn’t this ring a bell for Anet and change it to 4 weeks or another period instead of only 2 ?
Still wonder why they keep holding on to their 2 weeks, it will only result into more bad content that is rushed way too hard, and will be full with bugs, which will annoy the devs and the players. Heck, at this rate, I’m thinking about never bothering with the living story in the future, or just quit gw2..
I agree for the full 100% with Xalugami.2096, content comes at us way too fast. Too hard to keep up and yeah, I never bother with lore anymore, it’s impossible to keep track -.-
So Ebonhawke in Ascalon or not, don’t care, don’t have the time for it, it’s sad
Liadri isn’t really the problem: Bugs, bugs and bugs are. Hard content is fine, but let’s recap:
- 1) First try arena, wasted many tickets in a cage on the first boss because it had invisible tornadoes all over the place, which made me knock down on the ground 90+% of the time, making it easy for the first boss to one hit kill me. I really couldn’t do anything at all and almost gave up on the whole living story.
- 2) Without dulfy I would have probably never made it, so thx dulfy.
- 3) Wasted even more gold on bugs, fighting oozes + liadri for example is impossible. Or not being able to hit a rift you are clearly hitting. And many other bugs.
- 4) True, camera sux, but that was still half ok for me since I’m not a norn or charr, still it took me about 100+ times of Liadri to see the AoE that drops (poor design). Actually half the time I was running with my camera looking up, but then you can’t see the clones.
- 5) I had to respec more than I can count, plain annoying, especially since a lot of builds required me to buy new sigils, weapons, armor, etc.
Conclusion: Hard content is fine, but fix the kitten bugs before the release please. Before most bugs were fixed, I already lost loads of gold and I almost gave up on the entire thing. I’m pretty sure if other living story content will be as buggy as this, that I won’t even bother with it anymore, or that I will even just quit gw2. Bugs are annoying as hell, I’m on gw2 to have fun, yes, hard bosses are fun, no, bugs are not fun at all. For all I care they change the living story to 4 weeks instead of 2, that gives the devs time to make everything, and it will give us a bugfree game, and actually time to try and get the achievements.
Btw, thx Anet for fixing most bugs, but I must say there still exist a few, and those are annoying. To give one example: What’s the point of using an immobilize skill if it bugs and doesn’t work?
If I knew back then what I know now I would have never even bothered with her XD
Sure, I killed her after many many tries. It costed me a lot time and gold buying new tickets, respec builds, buy exotic weapons, sigils, food and other stuff like that to beat her (+ BUGS). Why? Cause the build I love playing is a support tanky necromancer, which can’t kill liadri in time because of the timer, is completely useless since almost everything is one hit kill anyway and my dps wasn’t high enough to deal with the timer. -.- not cool Anet. Either way, it’s my own fault I suppose, I should have googled what the rewards for her were, I thought it was the mini + 2 gold, bummer it was only the mini.
>> For those that really want to kill Liadri, don’t give up, it’s possible, just very hard work. Memorize phase 1, you’ll see a pattern coming back, only that last crystal is hard because of the clones. Phase 2 I still state it’s luck and skill combined, together with double food and a good build. => Still having trouble? Try using you tube, dulfy, or other sites that give guides and tips on how to kill her.
Note: reward for killing her = mini only.. Worth it? Your choice.
I do enjoy killing these bosses, they are a challenge, they were very hard before (most still are), and it looked impossible at first, but gave a good feeling to finally kill them. Now I’m enjoying the gambit thing to make this arena even more fun and challenging. I wish they did something similar like that for the bosses, so almost everyone could kill the bosses, just not with all options. That way people could kill Liadri without the pulling rifts or a short timer for example. => However I understand Anet’s choices and think they did a good job on this! (except for the low amount of arena’s, the massive amount of bugs, and the npc’s not resurrecting us)
I hope they keep the pavilion+arena in the game for a long time or even permanent! Only if they fix the bugs tho
