Think there were like 3-4 common skin sets for leveling that I recall on my characters. But for the most part there are a few places to get unique sets, I’ve yet to find them but I’ve read that there are. Goodluck on your hunt though.
lolwut? That’s re-assuring. It’s not your response that bothers me but the clear lack of armor before 80. I’m not a huge MMO player, but from what Arena Net markets, GW2 “seems” to be a casual, easily accessible MMO. But the fact that you have boring looking armor sets unless you dungeon crawl, or karma farm really defeats the purpose….
Am I the only one who feels there’s little to none armor variety before level 80?? I’m seeing level 30 characters walk around with armor skins from level 1. Is this normal?? I searched around a bit on the forums and guild wars 2 wiki and found a lot of awesome looking armors, but they are either directly from dungeons, cultural armors (which only consist of 3 sets per armor type, and are exclusive to your race), or karma armor that costs 40k karma per piece.
Am I missing something?
Hello everyone, I’ve been playing GW2 for about 3 days now and I’m loving it! I’ve been trying almost every class and race so I haven’t yet gotten a character over level 15 yet but I have a few questions already…
- Maybe this is just my perception, but it doesn’t look like there really any armor at all before dungeon content. What I mean by this is it all looks like generically boring armor. Not much visual diversity. Is this how you guys feel or am I just not at the level of seeing some actually cool looking armors?
- How are dungeons working out so far? How easy is it to “LFG”, how are drop-rates generally?
- Are legendary weapons impossible to produce such as in WoW (2% drop rates, farming for mats that come off of Heroic end-bosses), or are they doable? Could one solo-farm to get a legendary?
- How is gold at level 80. Is it hard to farm? With the ability to buy gems and convert them to gold, I feel weary that Arena-net is trying to purposefully make gold hard to come by. Is this true?
- Thanks, sorry for some bad-english, I’m foreign.
