I did. And this is no decent argument by the way. xD
If I wanted to explain it any simpler, I’d have to fetch the crayons and draw it for you. Which I won’t.
@spad e 50 pristine is nothing…
As said even 166 would be way too easy…because that is calculated on level 48 and you get pristines at 10+The rng is a total excuse….as i proved people wants easy skins.
Sorry to rain on your parade, but you haven’t proven anything. All you said is that people shouldn’t be getting the skins easily. Make it an achievement then. You get a claim ticket after 500 fractals or you have to complete fractal specific achievements, whatever. I never suggested that the skins should be made available easily and to everyone. The 50 relics thing was just an example. Make it 500 relics for all I care. I merely said that after TONS of hours invested in doing fractals, after hitting level 50+, after having 985476594867 level 48 runs and after getting several unwanted skins, the LEAST one should receive is the skin they want. All I care about is the fairness towards those who do put A LOT of effort into doing fractals. I don’t care about the “how”. I’m sure Anet could easily find a way to do it, without making it too easy.
The game should be more than fractal runs. And right now, just because of that skin, it’s all I do. Everyone has their limits. Yours might be 12 hrs a day fractals for 6 months. Mine isn’t. I will sooner or later give up and give the finger to it all, because tbfh I’d hate to be like my guildie who is STILL trying to get his wish skin after 1k runs. And I’m not even making this up. This case really exists and I bet it’s not the only one.
As for the RNG promoting a steady playtime from the players. No. If anything, it’s absolutely counterproductive when it goes horribly wrong and we all know that it does often enough. People get frustrated and leave, simple as. Anet already have us doing the same thing over and over and over again with the living story, every time with a different label. We really shouldn’t keep being punished for dancing to their tune with atrocious RNG chances, at least not when it comes to these skins.

As a person who has spent months to get the full fractal’s collection, to me the idea about easy tokens is absolutely unacceptable at this point. Call me selfish if you want but that would be a hard slap to my face if Arenanet do that.
It’s already a slap to the face for the people who have been running fractals ever since they were introduced and have only gotten one or two skins. I actually know a person who has only found one skin ever, in over 1000 runs. How is that not a slap?
I agree that making them too easy to get isn’t the best solution. But making the skins available for 50 pristine relics for example? That would be 50 dailies, almost 2 months of work. Still takes dedication to achieve and isn’t a slap to anyone’s face.
That synopsis barely does it. Running a huge amount of fractals STILL doesn’t guarantee anything. You might STILL never get the one you want after 3000000 runs. That’s the whole catch right there.
I completely agree with the fact that the fractal weapon skins are right now a wee bit too difficult to attain, when one is after a specific one only. It can very well be that I will never get this skin, even if I do three full fractal runs a day for a year, simply because RNG is RNG.
The ticket idea is a good one. I would also suggest to put some usefulness into the pristine relics, too. Those relics are unable to buy us anything of value right now, which is a shame. Why not make fractal skins available for say 50 of those relics? Would totally be worth getting them then and they’d no longer be useless. That way people will still have to work for the desired skin, daily so.

It’d make no sense for these skins to be NPC only. Otherwise we’d have datamined models of all the NPC only equipment in the game, like the dresses some of the nobles wear, or various other items. Or am I missing something here..?
I too have a few warm and cold potions which I don’t seem able to sell. An official response would be really nice.
Where is the setup to be found?
I began downloading the patch when the update hit two or so hours ago. Keep in mind that my top speed is 210kb/s. Around 7% (aprox. 500MB downloaded according to the launcher) and with 5,4xx files left, my PC froze, so I had to hard reboot it. When I re-opened the launcher, I had 227k files left. It has been down loading ever since, which has been roughly an hour and a half, and I’m still at 2%, (another 500MB according to the launcher) with 222k files to go. I have no idea what I’m downloading at the moment or why it’s taking so long, when the patch is supposed to be 1 GB big.
Are you near southern Ontario ? .
.I am wondering if something is down between us and the server.
No, I’m in Europe. The problem persists. I just managed to reconnect right now, but not sure for how long.

I just had a disconnect spree for about half an hour. In fact, during this period, I was unable to access any GW2 site, including this forum. My connection however was up and stable the entire time, able to connect to any other webpage. This seems to have stopped now, hence why I can post. Will keep updating.
Hello. It was said that the possibility to have an account fully restored (after a hacker’s attack for example) and thus character rollbacks will become possible. I have two questions regarding this:
1. When are we to expect this to happen? Any approximate date?
2. Will this be retroactive? As in, if it becomes possible in say a month from now, will people who have been already hacked and lost rather valuable items be able to have their characters rolled back?
Thanks a lot in advance.
