It truly is harder, if not impossible. And yes, its possible to get 35AR already with the infused TriForce, which two of our members had, though it didn’t matter. the chain Agony made quick work of them. If you get Dredge might as well quit, 30AR wont cut it.

@Sanel It is not a problem of preparing yourself. We had 3 people, 2 of which had 35AR, and one with 30AR. EVERYONE went down with the back to back chain Agony that is impossible to dodge. Every other fractal boss has a cue, or some sort of tell that you can read and dodge accordingly. The new Ice Elemental clearly does not. I could very easily survive any 30+ fractal boss with 0 AR, all it takes is actual SKILL to know when to dodge.

And if “preparing” yourself you mean grinding mindless dungeons for days on end, or grinding Cursed shore to get enough money to buy the 100g globs and then another 100g for the Triforce + infusion, then count me out as well as hundreds of other people who have better things to do.

Yeah, this is unbelievable, no skill involved whatsoever. Worst update you guys made in a long time. The one thing I enjoyed in gw2 was fractals and now you make it impossible without 30+ AR for levels 30+ that means I have to get 250 globs (which the going price would cost 100gold ) Seriously?? If this fractal boss is working as intended, shame on you ANet.

For those who don’t know, the ice elemental boss at the end of the Dedge Fractal has an agony attack which is impossible to dodge(NO MATTER WHAT), that not only hits you across the room, but plus you will die in two ticks of agony without 30+ agony resist(which means you’ll need those 250 globs to upgrade the back piece even more).

And honestly this is extremely demotivating, I typically only have time for one fractal run a night and now you’re forcing me to go grind 100 gold over the next month to just get +5 more agony resist so I can continue on. And honestly I’ll be taking a break from gw2 until this is fixed. Making a game completely gear oriented is so wrong on so many levels.

I think the problem here is that when you’re scaled down to lower level areas, your AR gets scaled as well, and if you join Fractals while in a lower level area, it somehow doesn’t reset.

I’m currently in a 25-35 zone and my typical 25AR is only 6 AR and I’m assuming if I join a fractal from this zone, it wont reset my actual AR and will leave me with only 6AR unless I re-equip the items. Just a thought.
