Posting this again in hopes of getting some information for my friend. He is watching us all play and getting quite bitter, rightly so as he paid his money and was unable to login even once due to this error.

My friend purchased a retail copy of the game, installed it, created his account and received this error when he attempted his first login. After waiting 48 hours for a response from ANet he exchanged the game at the store. He setup a new account with the new serial code using a different email account and received the same error on his first login attempt. How can this be hacking, he had registered his copy of the game within 5 minutes of the error. Very frustrating. His ticket number (for the second copy of the game) is 120905-00153
