And the social awkwardness debuff is just badly designed – period. It punishes one of the main gamestyle mechanics in gw2 (stacking) by forcing you to range. No matter how Anet changes that, in its core, it stays a bad, chaotic and very counter-intuitve design. But that has nothing to do with the new fractal itself.

Actually it’s intention is to make players paying more attention to their positioning and to punish stacking, afaik. Look at speed running dungeons etc. You always stack in a corner and kill everything there. It’s really easy.
I agree with you that social awkwardness can be annoying, yes, but I like the change it aims for.
Toxic trails aims for quite the same but is far more counter-intuitve, especially regarding the underground fractal where you need to stay on the pressure plates to keep the doors open.
Unfortunately all the dredge come close to you and you find yourself getting a lot of damage because you are standing in the toxic trails.

As one of few, I actually liked the new ones better because of their clearer shapes. I’m okay with the old ones too though, it’s just a small thing.

So why did it started happening only recently? Also could skill launchers cause rev hammers to dissapear after colliding with them?

It started happening only recently due to some code changes to physics and navmesh. Before, when the skill launcher collided with the anomaly, a code bug coupled with a navmesh crack caused the ejection to fail. Now that that bug was fixed, the ejection succeeded.

Projectiles shouldn’t be able to collide with skill launchers, even before this change, because of the unattackable and non-targetable flags. Additionally, the collision radius is like 9 inches and they are on the ground so the projectiles would just pass over them anyways.

So the teleporting bug didn’t happen because of another bug? That’s hilarious!

Rebind Shift/Ctrl key for pinging

Hello everyone,

I use the shift key to dodge as my pinky always rests on it and therefore it’s very comfortable for me. Unfortunately linking an item in chat or pinging/drawing on the minimap is also bound to Shift/Ctrl. This means I always dodge when I want to ping on the minimap for example.
Is there anyone who faces the same problem? Why are these two keys fixed? Why can’t we rebind them?
I would be really happy if this was possible.
It’s an old topic/issue, I know, I just wanted to bring it up again as I really wonder why we can not rebind those two keys and if we ever will be able to.

Farming Pristine Fractal Relics?

Hey,
you can make a total of 17 per day. 15 by doing the normal fractal dailies (12+3) and 2 by doing 100CM (lvl 100 nightmare with challenge mode).

Yeah, I totally agree on that one.
I miss the adds as they brought some more challenge to the last phase instead of it being the same again.

What I really like about the Mai Trin fight is the cannon phase. The cannon phase should definitely stay. The only thing that maybe should be reworked is the way you remove stacks / the damage phase.

[Bug] Thaumanova Reactor - Platforms

Hello,

we noticed that skills which follow the terrain of the ground (like [Tides of Time] or [Deflecting Shot]) are just falling through the floor in Thaumanova Reactor (platforms at anomaly boss).

Seems like the platforms or the gaps between are not considered solid ground which causes this behaviour.

Would be nice if you could take a look at it

I think you should contact support. Sounds like something that happens often enough that they should be able to assist, but not so often that it needs to have an in-game change.

I think that adding an npc that offers just maybe 80% of the relics that were required to buy the potion would be easier than assisting with just one player asking support tbh….

They dont need to design a new skin (just another Golem)
They dont need to create any new items just add the option to exchange these potions for xyz number of fractal relics

Support personnel already get paid to help with the same sorts of problems: additional cost to ANet = 0.

Adding a new NPC requires: determining the rewards, placing the NPC, setting up the vendor table, and a number of other minor things. Cost to ANet > 0

You’re correct that it’s a relatively minor change. What you might not have remembered is that the devs have a list of 13,284 minor changes that would improve the game for some group of players. How high should it be on the priority list?

In the meantime, Support is already available and it costs about 5 minutes of time to make the request; it’s worth trying instead of waiting.

I made the suggestion because of the reasons Orangensaft.7139 already mentioned but I have to admit that you are right too.
Maybe the devs read it and think it’s a good idea and implement it or it won’t ever come.
We’ll see…

In the meantime I gonna give it a try and contact support.

Infinite Mist Potion Exchange (Suggestion)

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if it is possible to exchange the [Infinite Mist Potions].
You might bought multiple potions for different characters and later use the shared inventory for example. Would be nice if you could make some use of the unused potions in any way (like trading them in).

There already is an option to exchange [Endless Fractal Tonics] (BLING-9009 vendor in FotM lobby).
I thought it would be nice if you could exchange the potions for a part of the inital cost too so they don’t just rot in your bank until you destroy them.

How do you think about this? Love to hear your opinions.

I got the exact same problem. It happens every time when i try to change the fractal scale.
