I believe guild leaders should have the ability to smack a guild member when they get too out of line and need to be disciplined.

EDIT: Totally didn’t make this post to scare my guild members into submission. Nope.

So me and my guild we like to see all our options when we want to decorate stuff. So our plan was we were going to dedicate an area in our hall which we’d dub as “IKEA” and have 1 of every decoration there to show it off. Now that’s fine and dandy and all but as we’re going through scribe the absolute level of bullkitten costs for some of the decorations is absolutely insane.

Take the Large Festival Tent as an example. The first tent was more like an umbrella so we decided be cool if we had a bigger one to do stuff under. It costs 450 Linen Rope and few other things. So you might say “Wow spirit that’s bad, but not too bad”

But then when you go to craft linen rope you realize 1 linen rope = 150 flax fibers. So lets do a little math. 450 Linen Ropes X 150 Flax Fibers = 67,500 flax fibers total needed for cost. Flax fibers aren’t as easy to get as flax either. So lets say you were to buy all of that. 67,500 (Flax Fiber) / 250 (Stack size) = 270 Stacks. 1 Stack of Flax Fiber (If you were to buy on TP) Costs 11 gold roughly. 11 Gold per Stack X 270 Stacks = 2970 GOLD. To get this decoration you would need to pay the cost of a LEGENDARY for one. Don’t even try to say “But you could list it and buy it for cheaper” It would still exceed 1000-2000 gold that way.

There are other examples (Kegs + Keg Racks notable…) of absolutely insane mat costs that make me wonder if the devolpers had actually thought about how hard it would be to get some of this stuff. It’d probably take less time to farm for a legendary

My guilds issues tonight with missions,

Puzzles,
-Map was in Lonars for whatever reason was annoying doing Proxemics lab maze part without a map
-We had 30 people enter the puzzle 1 person got left behind early on and stayed at the very beginning doing absolutely nothing. When we finished the puzzle more then half the guild go no reward at all and the person who sat there doing nothing got the reward.

Rush
-Times were inconsistent. We did the quaggan paddle one and despite saying we had 11 minutes to do it first time it gave us 4 minutes, then 8 minutes, then 9 minutes and 20 seconds.
-http://prntscr.com/938n2d There was also this. This is a picture of the end of the rush we had 40 quaggans who were unable to go through the last one. People would randomly turn back into human after going through the last portal like 20 times and despite having 40 quaggans all at the end only 11 turned back into humans so we ended up failing the mission.

Bounty
-This was honestly the smoothest one my only problems were despite 90% of our members all being on the same server partied up and repping the guild we ended up having people on 3 DIFFERENT MEGASERVER INSTANCES this isn’t the first time such an event has happened either. In every single mission we did we had at least 3 people get stuck on another instance of the map. This time however we had our guild split literally into thirds

Between this and the new BL’s which have absolutely ruined WvW for me (<— WvW player since launch) I’m about to go find a new game with rest of my guild

Tell your guild members to share your weekly experience with missions. It’s been 3+ days now and they haven’t responded yet so we’ll keep bumping it

Dark Jean, this thread has well established that most of DR doesn’t like you anymore than the “haters” from other servers. Take the hint and stop digging yourself deeper into this pit you spawned in the name of showing off the achievements of DR. DR is not a bad server deep down, but having you be a part of it is more of a fault than a benefit.

Guild leader of a guild with 500 people, whoop de doo… How many of those 500 are actually ACTIVE? Most I see on kYrO at any given time is no more then 50 people and usually half aren’t even repping or on server. I’d rather be the guild leader of a guild that has 50 people online everyday who 100% rep then be the guild leader of a guild that has 500 people with only really 100 people online but more than half don’t even join us for events.

Jean by now you should realize that you need to stop making these kinds of posts. When you made a “just reached Mithril” thread on the DR website the responses to it were just about the SAME. I’m happy that you’re happy you managed to reach a goal you set for yourself. But the other 99% of people in this game DON’T CARE. If someone made a post every time they reached Mithril, Diamond or Diamond Legend the WvW forums would be FULL of threads like this.

This is a fail of a recruitment thread heck this is more of an anti recruitment thread. Hell even if it wasn’t a recruitment thread if I saw this thread when I was looking on the forums, saw it was made by someone in Devona’s Rest that would be the LAST server I go to. I’d rather go to ET or FC after reading this thread.

Would it surprise you if I said this wasn’t the first time Jean has joined a server then ditched them 1-2 weeks later? I believe this is the 2nd or 3rd time. I’ve lost count

No one on DR is laughing about FC back when I was on DR I relished any opportunity I had to fight FC as the matchups were with Siege Furnace or Empty Terrace at the time and as a NA guild that would run 20-30 at the time we pretty much had nothing to fight except guards and doors so fighting another server that had a decent NA group was always a great pleasure.

Other than Jean, DR has a nice community I swear. Just check the forums Jean was banned from them so you’ll be able to experience the rest of the community.

Kinda wish we went to GoM. Nobody in T4 appreciates our shenanigans. We try to run around as like 10-20 dolyaks and then we get zerged the hell down (that and stuck in a matchup with HoD and DB if that gives you any idea). Let me know how IoJ works for you we thought about going there but heard it was about as dead as T8 so we didn’t go there

I know of the diamond legend from EU sunny bunny… Since months ago.. I even played with sunny bunny at edge of mist when they visited NA servers

I am aware there is alot of diamond ranked… Maybe around 20- 30 are diamonds ?? Maybe even less.. But That is still few compared to thousands of gw2 players that havent reached diamond

What i am saying is… There is only few of us diamonds that also have pvp dragon… Should be proud of what we acheived.. Not hate us

The problem is the thread doesn’t sound like that. It sounds like someone bragging about reaching Diamond rank. Furthermore why should it matter what rank you are to recruit people? I could care less if you were rank 1,000,000.

A better way to recruit people would have been giving them examples of how dedicated the community is to wanting to do better, or showing videos of your server doing well in WvW, wiping large enemy zergs and storming through keeps with AC’s all over place and 20+ defending it but still managing to take it despite all odds! Or something completely silly that shows that despite being a serious WvW server, you still know how to have fun. If I saw any of that and I wanted to go to a T8 server, then I would probably want to go to DR (To bad I don’t want to go back to T8 though lol)

Your count is off. I swing into EOTM from time to time and come across various levels of Diamonds all the time. There are a heck lot more than five.

A regular ram can do the same amount of damage 2 alphas can do and cost 1/5 the supply along with people don’t see giant walking rams (as humorous as it would be to see lol) coming toward them.

When WXP abilities were added in me and my friends were excited about lots of the possibilities but most of all Golems. So we waited… and waited… then season 1 came around they said they weren’t going to make any more abilities till after league ended so we stayed hopeful… now here we are at season 2 still no golem mastery…

Me and my friends made up a couple of neat ideas could use for it that wouldn’t make golem mastery too OP but it’d be just enough to actually make a difference.

1: Increase the Siege Bubble time by 3 seconds
2: Increase Speed of golem by 25% (people already do this by using travelers)
3: Add a skill (6th slot?) Maintenance Oil Gives Golem 5 seconds of Quickness 45 second cool down
4: Increases Damage by 15%
5: Golems are now no longer Immune to speed buffs

For WXP cost I think it should be 10,30,60,100,150 (it costs 150 WXP total to finish the line) The reason for the high pricing is so only dedicated WvW players will be able to use golem mastery making it a rare occurrence to see a golem master.

The biggest problem with golems is they are too darn slow the speed increases before anyone starts QQ-ing about how golems are slow cause they are powerful keep in mind ALL THE SPEED BUFFS SUGGESTED ARE ALREADY BEING USED DAILY people buy traveler runes just to go faster in golems warriors will have signet of rage just for swiftness when jumping in golem with these abilities above this will make getting swiftness and speed buffs more accessible to people who don’t want to have a armor set just for walking a golem.

I think the buff should help your stats it doesn’t have to make it god level crazy stats but enough to help out roamers and smaller groups keep in mind to have outnumbered buff it’s most likely 1 – 2 or higher odds as it is stat buff should be something minor not enough for it to be massive maybe could be like WvW guild fort buffs +10% health, +40 to every stat and such is it massive 5 wiping 20 people changing? No it’s just giving the smaller side if they are skilled enough a chance to not be utterly destroyed in every single fight it’ll promote roamers to go on maps since they’ll have the buff and make them not as easily to be spawn killed.

I don’t think this buff should stack with WvW fort buff though so if your outnumbered and your in a guild with all fort buffs on that’d just be too much.

Over the last 2 hour period my guild [SA] has attempted to do guild missions we are not particularly large guild but we’re not small when we went to do guild jump puzzle we found 3 guilds waiting for the guild inside to finish so we decided to go to challenges and found once again more guilds waiting! So after helping 1-2 guilds with challenges then being cut infront of for challenges after nearly 1 hour of waiting we got our 10 minute challenges done! Keep in mind each time we did our guild missions we had to unparty and re party everyone up because they were in different megaserver ‘districts’. Eventually we went back to puzzle see 3~ guilds still waiting we went to do guild bountys… The bountys were dying faster then we could find them… what would normally be a 15-30 minute tops thing ended up being nearly 45 we failed not once… but twice bountys died before we could get to them… Nearly ready to give up we decided to go to see if puzzles calmed down… 3~ guilds still waiting so we went and did rushes which were no problem because another guild came right after we started… we went back to jump puzzles still long wait line so we gave up for the night.

We then considered going to temples but sadly found they were all open or had people already doing them…

But fortunately this night wasn’t a total lose! We managed to recruit 4 people! None of whom were on our server…

My guild has always loved guild missions they are lots of fun to do but tonight was horrible not fun at all. A lot of us have jobs or school and can’t get on during week and with WvW reset on Friday this leaves very little time to do missions again. Please make a opt out feature or something anet.

You mean the white armor set you buy from the armor merchant that only sells 1 type of armor for each armor class?

Before this patch I would always make a new character test out builds and switch armors to see what works well with what but since this patch I’ll now have to spend dozens of gold just to switch armor once for something that MIGHT be good and with champ farming getting nerfed it’s only going to make it even harder to aquire gold to do such a thing.

PvP before provided an excellent way to explore all classes to the fullest but now it seems you can’t hop on a single class and start playing it right away you have to PvE to get skill points to open the skills then you have to PvE to get the gold… at this rate I may as well just go WvW instead and not even bother with PvP.

So I was looking through rewards and I saw this

Letter Of Commendation (400 influence) costs 20 silver and 4 guild commendations???

First off 20 silver could buy me 100 influence and saying I were to buy 3 guild ballistas (3 commendations 12 silver) I could sell them for about 3 gold which would be 1500 influence total

Lets say you do Guild Bounty and Guild Challenge that’s 2 commendations each it would cost 400 influence to build both of them (and 1 day saying you built them as soon as possible) then saying you have big enough group to complete it would give you 4 commendations buying the letter seems pretty pointless in terms of how much influence it gives and how much it costs.

I think 1000 influence for 2 commendations would be more reasonable

Also add more squad options or allow them to be repetive use for example having 2 or more Squad Attack locations so you can tell you zerg you want to attack this tower then this tower then this tower…

Merging server wouldn’t work if you merged kaineng into per se ET now there is a gap so 1 matchup will only be 2 worlds fighting the only way to make it so there isn’t any weird matchups it to merge 4 servers which would make the one world uber stacked and massive population they’d shoot up to at least T4+ just because of they can quene every map for several hours a day

Believe me I feel for you from DR :P

DR is a great place to make friends while not many people everyone basically knows everyone there as long as you speak up don’t hide in corner. I would love to see DR rise and get a taste of victory for once rather then be constantly beat down to last place it’s just sad to look at and sad to see people who are trying their hardest to make the server better place and win when the main issue is just population.

With Wintersday starting tomorrow, I predict the skritt migration to be the stuff of legend, for all three of our servers. So, how can we celebrate in WvW and keep it fun?

I say we all celebrate with fireworks and box’s of fun in the big open space between SM and DR’s EB keep at around 12:30 PM (server time) who’s with me!

So my guild is running around causing mayhem in ET BL we just took NE tower go to run off the cliff and misjudge how far drop it is and it kills most of our zerg. About 10 seconds later 40 ET fall down on top of us ALSO dieing creating massive pile of dead allies and enemys meanwhile a small GoM zerg just sits watching it all happening laughing away.

Ahahaha that’d be great XD we had to move them out of WC though because some AR person kept shooting their treb at WC no matter how many times we broke it and we filled 3/4 of green keep lord room with them.

The memory crash stuff MIGHT be because to turn off my computer I have to press and hold the power button (since when it crashes on log in screen it normally only shuts moniter off and with no way of shutting it down I need to do that).

Recently added 2 fans to the computer not to mention I can use this computer for hours on end and it’s fine but soon as I try to load GW2 up only takes minute or so for it to crash.

This will probably give you more info then I can hope to also my CPU and processor are AMD A-10-5800k APU with Radeon™ HD Graphics (4 CPUs), ~3.8GHz GPU is AMD Radeon HD 7660D

Bump I still can’t log in GW2 without my computer crashing

While I’m on log in loading screen downloading files from new patch my computer will randomly crash and shut down I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling game but that did not help

It seems I spoke to soon while now I can get to login screen 1-2 minutes after log in screen pops up and I’m downloading the new patch my entire computer crashes. I’m about to throw my computer out window and beat it with a hammer, but before I do that any suggestions on how to fix this NEW problem or should I just make a new thread about this issue?

After much combined effort from the people of the forums and my guild mates trying hardest to fix this problem I can finally play GW2

Answer to this problem was to delete locat.dat file thank you to all who helped!

Also did you say delete local file for second part or just rename it “Delete locat.dat”

After I press it the first time nothing happens no matter how long I wait then when I click to open it again 10 minutes later it tells me a copy already running on the computer

when I got to task manager GW2.exe is listed depending on how many times I clicked it when I close one it doesn’t help or make it better in any way

I tried system restore at first but had no results :/ ty for trying though I really am open to any and all ideas lol

I’ll give it another hour or so if nobody comes up with any ideas I’ll try reinstalling windows

Still can’t play GW2 I’d send a help report to anet but last time it took them 1-2 weeks to respond and another week to actually fix the problem please let me know someone is working on solving this problem and I’m not just wasting my time posting this

Lovely if you need me I’ll be uninstalling that now >_<

Always open to more ideas on how to fix this problem

Got any reliable sites I can download direct x 9c from? All the ones I’ve tried either viruses or simply had no effect.

Found it perhaps there is hope yet I might make it for WvW reset lol

I’ve looked up and shut down multiple of the list above still gotten no good results I shut down all non necessary systems and it still does not work. Any other suggestions? I’d really love to have this fixed before WvW reset tomorrow.

Whenever I click on guild wars 2 icon it will pop up and say another copy already running on this computer I’ve tried restarting my computer, turning off anything that says GW2 in task manager under process, and attempting to uninstall the game nothing worked so far any ideas on what to do?
