I like it! 8.5/10
I am Squid Squid.
This follows all asura naming conventions.
the only group I have EVER cleared this path with used the leave one behind exploit... other groups I’ve been with have always failed to kill all 13 (thirteen?!?) patrols, eventually giving up due to the time wasted or the ridiculous repair costs. you can’t dodge the grenades more than twice every 15 seconds, and you can’t kill the grenadiers quickly enough to avoid taking too much damage.
remove all but 3 patrols or something? 13 mob packs of AoE spammers with massive hp that come in groups and use their attacks on a narrow kitten walkway....
yeah, you can still beat the path, but I wonder how Anet thought the way they designed it was doable? it’s completely ridiculous to try to beat the naders. completely.
Sir tybalt.
that is all.
I want this to be stickied, please.
want.
do want, want, want do.
do want do.
do want?
that’s the tier three cultural armor for asura; electromagnetic.
there’s also galvantic and electroplated for cheaper and lower level characters, if you want a similar look you can transmute without so much hassle.
you should too!

here’s how it works:
open with either weapon, there are two basic combos that you want to get off:
(sprinkle in basic attacks as needed)
sceptre 2 into sceptre 3, torch 5, torch 4 (throw the flame). switch, GS 4, GS 2, GS 5, signet of wrath, GS 3.
at that point you should throw down another GS 2 and switch (there will be around a second left before you switch, smack them around with your GS 1) and repeat. if you need more burst you have your burn teleport with massive range, and your signets can be used as you please to put out more CC.
your elite skill isn’t usually needed, I find, but it’s nice for longe ranged offense. and general DPS in close fights. you can also switch it out for other elite skills; it doesn’t synergize much outside of it’s first attack, but I prefer it over the others.
what you want to focus on doing is applying blinds and burns consistently to weaken and apply vulnerability to your target. the greatsword and sceptre/torch are great for this.
the sceptre/torch is a mid-range skirmishing weapon combo. don’t hang at max and expect to melt everything. that is why you have 300 vit and healing from your greatsword. But, if you need to run away, you have a huge dash from your GS 4 if you don’t target anyone, and three immobilizes.
I tend to run (in 8v8) three balthazar armor pieces, and three soldier armor pieces. burn duration increase on torch, damage on sceptre and greatsword. for jewelry I run the soldier accesory with the soldier rune.
there’s really only one “trick” with this build, and it comes in using your utility teleport to escape. if you have no target you won’t travel any distance, but you can shoot the full 1200 if you have have any target at all, as long as they’re at least at max range. this means you can target a completely separate fight happening a ways away from you and shoot halfway there instantly, hopefully saving your fragile anus. it also works on sharks in the stupid water level.
