After I ran guild wars today laptop completely crashed up on me about 4 times, including 2 BSOD. Each of these crashes stopped my Nvidia graphics cards from being recognised and the drivers suddenly stopped working. After reinstalling each time, enabling SLI and then running guild wars – each time crashing my computer again.

Out of nowhere on an install the SLI option no longer came up, I reinstalled drivers a few times again, with no luck and then finally checked device manager’s error code, Code 43. Does anyone know of a way to fix this, or why the Guild Wars 2 launcher would cause this?

Dxdiag below.

I haven’t had this problem to the extent that you’ve had it. I’ve had a problem where my sound will sometimes lag in huge events, or I will simply not hear any of the skills I’m using. Not sure if it’s the same problem, sound familiar to you?

Done both of those tests, no problems shown. Not sure if this makes any difference, but I’m running 2x Nvidea Geforce 8800M GTX in SLI. Seeing as the game launcher actually worked (Up to pressing log in) after I installed the graphics card drivers again and enabled SLI, could this be the cause? I’m using the newest drivers as of today.

Update – Seems the drivers are still there, they are simply not being recognised by Windows after the crashes. Going to attempt completely uninstalling them and reinstalling them.

I tried to launch Guild Wars 2 today and the launcher became a black screen. I closed GW2 and then tried to restart the launcher. My computer then completely froze up on me. I restarted my computer and then found that my graphics card drivers had disappeared. My resolution had been set back to 800×600 and Windows aero had stopped working.

I started browsing the internet after this point and then 5 minutes later my computer came up with a BSOD showing a message about Volsnap.sys.

Once again restarting my computer, I tried to launch GW2 and it just froze on the downloading screen. I decided to reinstall my video card drivers.

I launched Guild wars 2 one final time after restarting my computer once again. I then found that it launched to the point of the log-in screen. Once I hit log-in BAM, my computer completely seized up. Not completely frozen, but running at around 0.001 fps. Blue screen of death came up again after a while, this time showing a message saying IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL 0×0000000A. Once again my graphics card drivers are gone.

DXDIAG is below for anyone who wants to see and I can’t attach the dump file due to the forums attachment system.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.
