I’ve been playing a Ranger since the game came out. I’ve always enjoyed the class and never understood why others would talk about how much it sucked. We play a game to have fun right? I like being able to do significant damage from a distance, and I’ve played every class. I like this one the best.
Now the Druid has been revealed. If I had never played GW2 before and read the description of the Druid, based on my past MMO experience I would think I was reading the description of a Cleric. And that would be great for people who wanted to play a Cleric class.
I guess I should of known when I heard that we would be able to now use a Staff, but really, giving a Ranger the opportunity to be a Cleric in the expansion is the best they could do?
Let me ask you something. How much to Runes and Sigils in the Black Lion Trading post that heal other players go for? They are the cheapest in the game because no body wants them. And guess what? I don’t want to be a Cleric.
The only skill I saw on that list that looked like it might be good was the very first one listed, Solar Beam. I could care less if it heals allies if someone happens to be standing in the beam but if it has the range of a long bow it sounds pretty good.
I’m so glad I didn’t pre-order the expansion. The reason I have not pre-ordered is because I wanted to know exactly what I would be getting for my money. How many Zones? And of those zones how many are PvP related? Because I have no desire to PvP in any way shape or form…Like ever. How many of those Zones are Dungeons? Because I rarely if ever do Dungeons. I’m a casual player and the original game has PvP and Dungeons but its fun for the casual players who like to log on for an hour or two, kill some world bosses and log out.
In real life I am probably one of the oldest players in the game. Its a good thing I like casual play because I really don’t have much other choice. A family and Job keep me busy, but my point is I have money and I have spent a lot of it in the Gem store to support this game, but if they don’t fix this Druid Class not only am I not buying the expansion but I’m done buying things in the Gem store too especially after reading the “Meet the Druid” description. We vote with our pocket books, and I vote no.

I agree with ZudetGambeous. Where is the 50 bucks worth of content? Personally, I don’t care about a new class, guild halls, PvP, or WvW but that’s just me. If you like those upgrades go for it. Buy it.
I want to know how many zones are in the new expansion. How big are they? For 50 bucks I would expect at least as many zones as the original game. Am I going to get my butt kicked when I explore them because I am a casual gamer and I don’t like being forced to group up unless I’m going to a dungeon.
I like the world boss timers, its kept me playing the game long after I got bored with every thing else, so how many world bosses are you adding and are they going to be asinine like the evolved jungle worm that nobody ever does?
It took you guys to long to come up with this expansion in the first place. I want to make sure it doesn’t suck before I buy it.
Its not just 161, mine ends with 186 and I have been kicked out of game at least 20x today
I’m having the same problem, first time this has ever happened
1. When i throw my glowing pink reaver of the mists Axe, a different axe leaves my hand. Its not pink, and it doesn’t glow.
2. I truthfully thought the collection expansion would increase all items by 250, not just the ones in the bank. Glad I bought just 1 and tested it out first. If you want me to buy more then fix this.
3. Back items showing at character select.
4. Not getting loot if your not in a party when killing champions. (Yeah I know why this happens and it should be changed.)
5. More skimpy armor skins for the medium armor class. Why do we have to look like we are dressed for winter wearing 3 layers of leather clothing?
6. When you log out at Hall of Monuments I would like to still be there when I log back in.
7. Bring back the flame kissed light armor. That was cool looking armor, why did Anet listen to a bunch of whinny cry babies? I was going to buy it, now, whenever I see someone with it I don’t think “wow, cool.” I think, “wow I’m kitten ed off that I can’t get that armor skin for my Character.” Either give people their Gems back and remove it from the game or put it back in the store.
8. Where is the Expansion equivalent to that of Factions of the original Guildwars? Factions was awesome. If it wasn’t for GW2stuff that told me when world bosses spawn I would of left Guildwars 2 a long time ago, but I’m even getting bored of that now. Come on already. Get with on with it. Geeze.
9. Single player missions for Fractals of the mist.
10. Single player option for all dungeons and end game.
Those last 2 remind me of Everquest. I always hated that people who were not in high level guilds, or had families and had to leave at a moments notice didn’t go on raids/dungeons and didn’t get to enjoy the same content. They paid the same price as everyone else for the game but got screwed.
I noticed you can combine the Mad king and Witches outfit in the Mystic forge. Anyone tried it? At 700 gems for each outfit I would hope the result is worth it.
