Frankly the coverage strength of T1 servers change all the time. SoR used to have strongest EU and Est NA and weakest SEA compared to BG. Now I think BG and SoR are more or less equal in NA, but SoR has stronger SEA and BG may have stronger EU now giving the coming of our Russian overlords:)
Not sure I agree with that, we have been struggling in sea and from what I have seen personally we have been outnumbered alot by BG, but thats only from jumping between SoR and BG borderlands. It well be different on the other maps, but if you see the PPT that BG has been ticking at, it seems that BG has the greater coverage. EU is a bit of a debate, IRON is only 1 guild and we are never short of people to fight against, but yeah, ZD’s are going to change alot.

3 days ago, we were not fighting enough. Now we are over-stacked and over-timing. God kitten it, make up your mind, SOR.
P.S. To the people surprised about BG covering up the gap, i have noticed that BG always takes the weekend off or lightly. It’s a good strategy though, taking a couple of days off every week.
Great thing about the chest thump threads (not stating yours is one) is the 3rd wheel (SoR, BG and JQ) as it stands now is gonna have a huge say of deciding the Kingmaker of season 1 as week 7 has the 3 Tier 1 servers squaring off again. Guaranteed there is going to be lots of QQ posts, politics, azzzz kissing, etc. in response to whom that 3rd server decides to rally towards so expect that thread to be loads of fun to read!

@ IRON @ Choo: Great fights out there so far. My guild is a hybrid guild so we not only play for fights but we play for PPT too. So a lot of the times depending on the commander on the map, we could either fight you a lot open field or just play the PPT game. Either way I’ve having a bast its not often I get to fight IRON.
<3 any fight is a good fight. We too can go hybrid and cap stuff, it happens now and again.
I understand that in my previous post I looked like an kitten , and I apologise to both [IRON] and [Choo] for implying you couldn’t take our garri, even though you evidently could quite easily.
Not saying we could have taken it easily. Not saying we could have taken it at all in fact. With the broken machanic of perma banner resses on the keep lord taking a defended garrison is never easy.
The point is, IRON wasnt there to cap garrison on that occasion, we was there looking for action. There have been many times when we have been in a tower or keep (and on a rare occasion garrison) that the place has been capped by rallians dispite us asking them not to, as we wanted to keep the action going.
And when I thought SoR was going to win due to the fact they had 10k lead and were absolutely ruining our BL, then I log in today and BOOOM 440 PPT for BG. Guise wot is gewing awn like srsly TC zergs melt or run and SoR has blob zergs that just farm our players instead of take objectives i.e. in our garri the other night BG v [IRON] + [Choo] blob and they were eating our players yet they didn’t take garri, oh no just sort of ran in circles on some sort of forward momentum that finally stopped when they got bored.

ZD didn’t make this come back, this was NA + OC/SEA holding on.
ZDs will have a massive impact on the OC/SEA time zone. That was one of the things that hurt playing against them in the EU. They would log on around 4am UK time and spend the whole day stamping on the faces of their oppenents. I swear I can still see the boot marks now when i look in the mirror, some things dont wash off.

Having ZD’s here can only be a good thing. Good for BG, good for their oppenents.
I understand that fully m8, many of us EU guilds are merely turning to NA just to get a chance to play the game because to be honest we are being pushed out of playing during our prime time due to many hours of Queues on all bl’s due to a single 6 hr prime time window.
We have come to the top 3 servers not because it’s an easy ride but the pure fact those servers have opponents during our sociable hours that we can stomp and get stomped by in equal measure.
However we will always attract haters

Wrex uses a similer system. Its a mixture of abuse, hatered and emasculation.
You’ll always fight players that are better then you, you’ll always run into players that run a flavor of the month setup that you’ll know you might have issues with. The game is designed around a rock-paper-scissors system, you’ll never have somebody that will win every single 1v1 fight but the game is also simply not designed for duels.
I think the biggest difference to all of this is our mentality compared to yours, you already give up before the fight has even started if you get caught in a 1v1 while we’ll at least give it a poke and see what we can do
I demand that from my players though, to at least give it a try and make sure they can stand on their own 2 feet. If they go down, try and see why and if there is a way to handle it better.
I also advice them to try and think ahead of time and not dwell on builds that are flavor of the month now. Most of those kind of builds that people run now come from roamers in the first place which then get introduced into larger guilds and we as roamers have to plan ahead of that already to counter our own builds.
Like next patch, I’m expecting a lot of condi-shaving and I’m already planning around that idea.
I agree with that, when i get jumped my first thought is kitten . Low dps plus being kited so many times by a class with ranged while I have a staff/hammer seems kinda pointless. We have weekly workshops to work on builds and if we need to change anything, but its all orientated on improving group performance.

For those of us who just run with the guild we get no low man experience unless jumped. I know the first thing you will say is that playing solo will help improve the group play as well, and you would be right, but unless there is some guild action going on, I dont play.

Its how the meta is, yeah the lag and over zerging is a pain, I freely admit that, but when running in large groups it comes down to surviving. Boons, healing and not rallying the enemy are as important as damage. The holy trinity may not be here, but roles for support, condition removing, stunning etc have been put on classes for the group to become effective.
You should spend time researching the Guardian class, and specifically the healway build. It is strong both for group and solo play – the video you won’t click on is a healway guardian beating people in outnumbered fights. When you say your build is holding you back, you can’t expect sympathy from people who know that isn’t a legit reason why you can’t kill roamers. Which is what that video proves. And as Veretta said, its bad build optimization on your part.
Some roamers understand the dynamics of group play.
I am not saying my build is holding me back, i am saying the build I am using (the guild build) is suited the guild play and not for 1v1. I dont want sympathy for my build either, the guild is happy with it, I am happy with it. Its the build that suits group play.
If I was interested in small man groups I would have another gear set and spec, but its not what i want. When i am in WvW I am with my guild. That means PVT and clerics gear and the guild spec. I will do no damage in 1v1, I will die, and I wont cry about it.

Some of our guild members are in multiple guilds, we’re not the guild that demands people to rep our guild name 24/7. Some of our roamers are officers/guildleaders of larger guilds and we discuss builds and strategies with these guys quite often.
I’m fully aware of how things work with ‘big boys’, the same rules apply however for the ‘small boys’.
The statement that’s being made though is that with larger numbers you’ll also have more dead weight. A lot of skilled big boy players can handle their own just fine and don’t mind running by themselves either. The dead weight is… well… dead weight.
If those big boy groups would trim the fat, they’d be even better and more effective.

Reports show they do not even fight other players unless they are in zerg form. Individually they are slow, and somewhat stupid – but together, they form some kind of super blob. Loving the BG tactics at the moment. Hitting a keep, but as soon as our force starts to move towards you, you all jump out and run away even though we are half a map away. You spy is doing your proud, but I cant wait for you guys to complain about PvD when its all you have the balls to do.
I can’t even remember the last time oPP ran with 10 man in WvW , perhaps when I’m offline , usually its 4-5 of us then you’ll have the occasional pug follow.

Yeah would love to duel you, my healing / boon duration guild spec’d guardian lives for duels. If you can be bothered to scroll back for that comment about oPP having 10 men, also take a look at the zerg vs roamers discussion as well.

As for the running with 10 part , you must have read misread the post. Are you sure they didn’t say that the MOST we run with is 10 as opposed to us regularly running with 10?
Yeah my bad, I looked back and Jado posted more a less what you just said. I took it as meaning running with 10, so though a 10 v 10 GvG could happen to counter the oPP player who said we only use numbers. I hold my hands up to that mistake.
