Disable events for your ACC
I can describe GW2 pvp like “buff stacks 3-4 skills use and ~0 player skills” for every 2+ players groups (or not 1vs1). There isn’t real CC like other game, because here can got stability for ~unlimited time.
If you hit 1 with aoe CC group with 50 people (20-30 of them with constant stability), you CC ca affected only 2-3 (if you luck).
CC in GW2 is not as CC in other pvp games (only works for small fights). So if we don’t have real CC why we talking for PvP?
No need to balance population on the servers, just need to matching population of servers in one group. I’m sure this is not to hard to be done.
Anet don’t care for the game and wvwvw is playable of pack monkeys with same success…
And ofcourse if they don’t put average WvWvW activity in there formulas – don’t expect balance!
Fail? Who said they’re trying to balance? I don’t think this is some kind of balance.
I learned, that ppl dont know what they want. And the only thing how to ballance matches are free transfers to Vabbi.
Not true, people always wanna to win! But for this need someone to loose.
This is two different sides on one coin. And name of this coin is “Balance” but I don’t see arenanet to realise this

If we just take a look at things at 3 paths:
1 take decision
2 opposite decision on 1
3 do nothing
How is possible Arenanet always takes wrong one decision?
ps “Retaliation” is one of this decisions
My suggestion for better formula for matchup:
1. average server population (for last week)
2. server efficient based on total points and point 1
3. random coefficient
In this case in 1 group we can have 3 servers with ~ same power. And all formulas without server population for the argument is pointless!
Changing color of buss who working in dead town – doesn’t change anything. You will need to try populate the town. You are trying by wrong way to fix the game.

I always die by retalation… because i use thief shotbow, retalation x3 every shot i recieve 900/1k dmg per sec and my signet of malice heal me…. 120 (120 × 3 = 360 heal per sec)
Thieves need more heal from this skill in WvW

Server transfer is more like throwing a oil into the fire.
The population balance is biggest problem of all MMORPG. But unfortunately I’ve never seen developers who trying to fix this. And another thing, this process is like catalyst of server dying process.
Retaliation algorithm is …. For instance my necro with scepter, I hit for ~200 dmg and can take back 250+. My mesmer hit 3x~300 and can take back 3x~300.

It’s nothing new, my last 2-3 MMORPG guys who take decisions always take wrong and make game more pointless. Maybe game industry has big problem with that.
I’m don’t seeing any big difference between old system and new. I think anet trying to running around the problem and makes cosmetics changes with ~ 0 efficiency like NPC commander ….
I’m not sure thief OP or not but I saw ~600 posts here and usually people don’t complaining for nothing. Maybe had something wrong with the thieves.
No need to remove aoe cap, may can rise cap base on curren map population or base on current all maps population

I’m in 2 guilds from the beginning now total numbers is 70-80 and I never saw more than 4-5 online. Ofcourse 90% maybe not true, but game already on the miminum capacity. And if you don’t wanna play alone on the WvWVW – better do nothing.

Arenanet why you trying to get more new player so badly, when you losing 90%+ from players for 1-2 months? Better try to keep players (events is really bad idea to keep players)
Most people are already left the game. Without players or big changes in algorithms for WvWvW the game is continue to dying.
GW2 lost many players from beginning and continue losing because arenanet does not trying to balancing populations of the servers. I know the balancing is most hardest part of maintaining of all MMORPG. And for arenanet stop making events, events can’t take back players, can’t truly hold players.
Making new game expansion can only return servers to life for 1-2 months. The real problem is arenanet don’t know what to do to hold people in the game (new events have ~ 0 success)
I think golems without mesmer portal is much easy target and can kill easy. Mesmer portal do insane lag on bad computers.
I think problem is capacity of servers and big lag. Capacity is calculated for beginning of game but now 80% of players are gone.
I have one question to arenanet what are you mean with “min require” for harduer? WvW can’t play with this “min require”!
I know two options for FotM:
1. fix DC
2. Dungeon finder
