If we are going to wait for LS3 that long, my guess is, we have to forget completely about one of the most successful content in GW2 history… Yes, I’m talking about Super Adventure Box :/ This lack of content compared to previous years pushing me away from Guild Wars 2. Sad story..

I’m not sure if anyone proposed this idea before or if its already in the HoT, because it should be quite obvious addition to the Arena. Some type of countdown decoration for the fight/race/game to start would be very cool. Even the simple Sylvari flower mortar shooting some kind of numbers/signs/colors.

Feel free to post cool suggestions for decorations, like one person suggested Reward Box Decoration (that might be able to store several slots for rewards .. maybe… ) during the stream. That was a great idea.

Tried to experiment with Magic Find and reach the highest number I can, but my calculations where different from what hero panel was showing.

Base Magic Find: 300% (maximum) + 10% from achievements
Infusion: 20% from Utility infusion on Amulet
Guild: 10% Magic Find for 3 Days guild booster
50% Magic Find Booster
15% Guild Magic Find Banner Booster
100% Celebration Bonus Booster
30% Laurels Magic Find Booster
30% Feline Blessing
40% Chocolate Omnomberry Cream
50% Hero of the Wastes (the boon u get for killing Vinewrath)
5X30% Perseverance Silverwastes event boon

My calculations: 300+10+20+10+50+15+100+30+30+40+50+(5×30)=805%
Although my Hero panel only shows 765% Magic Find.
Am I missing something or this is wrong?

I could have had 300 Mf by now, But i don’t. Why? Because threads like this learn me of the mistake to rush magic find. I got 250 now (234 without achievements), It’s very decent drop rate boost already, and all the rest is just a permanent goal to achieve without ‘rushing it’. I probably would have 1-2 legendary weapons less, just for the investment needed for last 66 magic find levels needed. I think i know with I prefer.

Maybe should have calculated in spreadsheet more? I mean just enter your luck that you still need, and how much doing a certain thing would boost it, compare them. make sure you don’t reach the top to fast. Easy.

That is good idea in some cases, but if you’ve read my post you probably know that my intention was to get the mini and got all that luck in the process of trying to get it. There were no rush to boost my MF.

Theres no significant change from 200 to 300, because i had 200 long time ago. But I almost have not farmed monsters after reaching 300. maby 2 dungeon runs, so not much i can tell about the increase in drops

What will you do when they add next Mini Gwynefyrrd?
Or next Mini Mr Sparkles? Which would be given to players who buyed more then 100 000 gems in total (as a “thank you gift” for supporting game so much)
Or new mini that would be similar to this ultra rare Mini Kanaxai from GW1 which was given to 28 players on some very special occasion.
What will you do when you realise you are not able to have them all?

I am hopeful for more collection achievements like Wooden Potatoes suggested. Separate gem store minis/skins from regular in-game minis/skins would be great way to start. I am not that hardcore, since I only have couple of gem store minis, stoped after realising they will keep adding those very often. But I am achiever I would say, I always try to do as much as possible in the game and collect all the rare items. I don’t mind not having all the minis as long there is no achievement saying to buy all the gem minis. With skins I bought long time ago and that are now cost a lot, with all the minis and skins I collected, with laurels, Essence of Luck I am keeping, I would say I always try to predict future and collect and keep items that in my opinion might have good money or any other value later on.

Being an exclusive PvP’er I could be missing things but…

-You have an odd number in your inventory and so the numbers don’t match the amount the crafting station says that you have.

-Your luck in your hero panel says 620/620 and that doesn’t seem right.

Yea it is pretty lame attempt Luck after you reach 300% MF starts to stack from 0 again, and everytime you use EoL it stacks So if I would use 1 Exotic EoL worth of 200 luck, that would say 820/820 Number slightly doesn’t match because there’s some EoL left in bank since I was transfering it from my main character to alt who has Artificer crafting displine to convert them. Any time you can whisper me, send an email for the instant screenshot with your message or your char in it if you want. No reason for me to make that up

Check the screenshot with finishers, compare drop rates of finisher and EoL from ToT bags and you can very well calculate that this is not fake

Why bother keeping it since you’ll continue getting more, just use it even if it does nothing, but I always say, make sure it’s your Base Luck that is 300%, and not the + Luck which you get from AP*(so your Luck is really 300% + X%).

You can sell greens and blues now instead of salvaging so EoL doesnt pile up anymore. And I’d prefer keeping these, cause 4million is almost what you need for 300%MF, so if one day they decide to convert excess EoL in to currency or something similar, this amount might be very valuable. And Yes, it is 300%MF+10 from Achievements, you can see it in the picture

1. They’re not going to raise magic cap to something absurd like 1000% for economy sake.
2. They wouldn’t make an achievement: ‘get to 100’, and when you get to 100 the max changes to 101, ‘get to 101’, changes to 102, etc. That’s dumb.

This is not about time, it is about the money. If you can afford loads of ToT bags, you can reach cap quickly enough. 200-300 took me 1 week with a lot of money. It took me about 300k ToT bags until I got my Mini Gwynefyrrd

Eh this makes me feel better about my abysmal luck on drops everywhere else in the game since I got 2 Mini Gwyns in 15k bags.

Bloodstone dust and company is something completely different because it is common material with limited use, and for the record, I destroy all I don’t need. Luck essences have way more use for non-extreme player. This so called problem with luck essences is simply artificial.

It will be problem someday and I see nothing wrong with pointing that out. Nobody’s asking for imediate action to fix this problem. Just looking for opinions on that.

Just curious to see the luck/gold ratio on these bags to be honest.

I don’t now exact numbers, because I was doing this long time ago and quit. And about two weeks ago I started again with ~200 MF probably. I wouldn’t say I’ve spent a lot. Couple of hundreds maybe since I got lucky and got profitable loot from bags as well. It is lottery, you can even get profit by the end you reach 300

Because of the reason it is rare, I dont want to delete all of those they will have to do something eventually cause more and more people will have this problem in the future. in my opinion it is better to hold on to it. Since it only affects 1 characters inventory, not a big deal

2100+ hours for auch a HUGE amount of luck (just to reach first the cap) plus those spare extra just 4 million – just 4 million only do take ages to get so much, unless there is some kind of trick to incredibly speed up the luck gain, like maybe some kind of yet unknown item dupe exploit ….

Buy stack of ToT bags, open them and check how many Luck you will get then duplicate everything from chances to get Mini Gwynefyrrd (which you can see in the picture ). You dont have to spent tens of thousands of gold for this, u get some money back from bags And no, i’ve never spent real money for any in game currency. Earned all the money playing the market in the early days, buying loads of skins cheap, that now are worth thousands. I see no reason for me to make that up, just sharing that it is very posible and people will start to have this problem in the future. I think, again, that OP is an outlier, but it does illustrate a problem in game. Some people simply collect too much of a given item through their daily activities, and Anet provides no outlet for those items other than to delete them. This destroys the value of the effort put in to obtain those items.

Though I think that something as simple as a mystic forge recipe might not solve the OP’s predicament. He’s got so many Essence of Luck, he’d wind up with stacks of the best that a mystic forge recipe could offer, even with RNG involved.

My effort was to get mini pet, not to collect EoL, but since the range of Mini Gwynefyrrd is 0.0005% ~200k ToT bags (it took me over 300k) I got more EoL than I needed. I think all of the hardcore mini pet collectors experienced that

ha, over 30k of both finishers. Youre next in game goal should be to use those up! You’d think they would just give you an infinite finisher when you hit a certain point (not that it really matters at 30k )

If you are lucky you can get valuable stuff too, but it is a lotery. Poly-luminescent Refractors are one of the lucky drops

I guess this topic was raised several times, but there’s should be a solution for people who reached 300% MF cap. I have 20k Exotic Essence of Luck (4 million worth of luck points) sitting in my inventory. That would almost get me to another 300% MF. And I got all of this only by trying to get Mini Gwynefyrrd which I finally got.

Any thoughts on what should be done? And if ANET is aware of that? Since more and more people reaching cap..

I got Scholar achievement only when i’ve finished Tribulation mode, Normal mode after 10+ tries did nothing.

Followed the prerequisites, Played World 1 Zone 1 and Zone 2, followed the clouds, died one time at boss (at Zone 1), but had 10 lives so no Moto Hell, jumped in the chest and waited till timer goes down, Scholar is still at 1/3..

Is there a special way how u need to complete zones to get these achievements? Completed all world 1 achievements except scholar. Also completed World 2 Zone 1 and 0/3 of Academic, and after 3 tries got World 1 Zone 2 Scholar achievement somehow, so Scholar is 1/3, but finished zone same way i did before… Any suggestions? Thanks

Is there a trick in getting Sholar achievement? Did all three zones in world 1, and also zone 1 in world two, didn’t get neither scholar, nor academic achievements.. Maby there’s the special way u need to finish these zones?

Also Bachelor of Baubles achievements bugged in my opinion, unlles there’s new secret baubles after the new uptade, can’t finish this achievement after 3 tries following various guides. Anyone has the same problems? Thanks
