I’m not sure if this is the best place to post this, but the feathers protruding from the ascended heavy armor pauldrons are non-dyeable. It’s a purely cosmetic issue, but I was hoping Anet would address this in a future patch as I feel it is not intentional. I’ve attached an image of the pauldrons and the default color for the feathers. Other than those feathers, I really like the ascended armor design on my guardian and can’t wait to finish my set.

I think it is important to keep in mind that we only have a small (unofficial) preview of the ascended armor to come. It may be delusional, but I have hopes that this preview is not indicative of Anet’s entire plan for ascended armor.

In addition, the adrenal health (120 health per second) occurs only after 30 successful attacks with your weapon. Assuming you survive until then, you are left with far less regeneration up until that point. This places your total, passive regeneration below 352.439. I would estimate your actual passive regeneration at close to 300 health per second.

(Edited to include adrenal health regeneration)

Your still wrong LOL you have to look up banners dude. May i direct your attention to a trait:

last one is just in case you try brining in the CD on banners.

All I’m reading in this game is dooms-day and nay-sayers. Give Anet time! You guys aren’t even giving them adequate time to flesh out the game you’re just like, “GIVE ME WHAT I WANT NOW!” and when they don’t you QQ.

TLDR; good things come to those who wait.

Let me guess, you use none of the missing armor sets?

If we were asking for a new map, or something huge and time consuming to create, then I agree ‘more time’ is a valid statement. We are talking about armor sets that already exist in the game, how long could it possibly take to add another few types of rings, amulets and back pieces when they were adding all the others ones to the game? No one cares if they share the same graphic, we care that they do not exist at all.

If for some reason it does take time, and we need to give it more time, then ANET can tell us about it, tell us the reasons and give us an indication of how long we have to wait. Instead we have complete and utter radio silence on the topic, and that is why folks are getting annoyed. More time my bass.

The main issue i see about having the rings, backpieces, and amulets with Healing/toughness imbedded in them are incase of the characters like my warrior. Without ascended gear i am able to take run into a WvW zerg and not die while taking them out. On top of it when i did the math calculations for my regeneration i get 608HP/sec so if they add more healing to it then my regen would just start to get crazy.

Unless i am missing some values, the highest regen pr sec you should see is 293 health pr second. That is using the formula from the wiki on regeneration and the exotic gear numbers from the affix page from same.

http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Regeneration
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Affix

You are missing many regeneration for a warrior. Healing Signet, Regeneration, Banner of Tactics, Adrenal Health, Armour + Accessories + Weapons

Which by the Hero Panel (cant look at it right now) gave me if i remember correctly 983 (cant remember if that is with or without banner yet). Banner is giving Regeneration fyi.

120hp/s from Adrenal Health (360hp/3secs),
Regeneration: 130 + (0.125 * 983) per second = 252.875
Healing Signet: 200 + (983 * 0.033) per second = 232.439
add those together and you get 605.314hp/sec

This is even with Melandru Runes in place.

http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Regeneration
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Healing_Signet

The 252.875 health per second you are including from the banner assumes you are holding the banner in your hand, making you a completely useless foe who does barely any damage with the “stab” attack. Also, the “compassionate banner” skill you are referencing only lasts for 5 seconds. Including an activated skill (that requires you to remove all worthwhile attacks) in your regeneration calculations is misleading and an error on your part. PASSIVE regeneration is the primary focus of your statement and “compassionate banner” is clearly not PASSIVE. Your effective PASSIVE regeneration is only 352.439 health per second. You cannot defeat a zerg with this regeneration, and it is not OP.

I feel guilty adding to the complaints, seeing as there is a lot of variation offered with the new ascended gear, but the fact that not one piece has a primary healing stat is a let down. I know it’s a bummer, but considering the incredible number of combinations that are available, I understand (and hope) that it will take some time for Anet to get around to all of the stat sets we know and love.

This is also a big problem for me with my main character being precision based. There is currently no ascended gear that uses precision as a primary stat (a few with it as secondary). There is no Rampager’s equivalent in the ascended items.

I’ve managed to get by for now as I do like to have a couple of all-stat items (Solaria, Lunaria) but I certainly don’t want to continue that trend for all my gear.

I can’t imagine there is a dev resource issue in getting these items on the vendor. How much additional programming would it take? Why were these stats neglected when putting out the ascended gear?

I think the lack of healing stats is a bit more jarring. There are roughly 20 ascended items with significant precision stats (+68 precision at most). This drastically outweighs Anet’s emphasis on healing stats. Sure, precision stats may not have the focus you want, however; with the current diversity of precision stats, I anticipate future releases to offer primary precision.

I am a more concerned with the blatant lack of ANY healing stats currently offered (maximum of +39 on only 4 rings and no backpieces), and fear that this may be a trend of future ascended items.

I have found a similar thread voicing the same concern:

Dear Anet – I would like to know if you are contemplating adding ascended gear, with healing power stats on it, into the game?

Currently i am saving up my Prestine Relics for the day this will hopefully happen, as I am one of those who actually use that attribute.

Being an avid GW1 player who have spend well over 7000 hours in Tyria, i would like to present my idea for such ascended items.

Prototype Fractal Capacitator: 22 Healing Power, 16 Precision, 16 Vitality

Mhenlo’s Tranquility: 71 Healing Power, 50 Power, 50 Toughness – 31 Healing Power, 18 Power, 18 Toughness [Unused Defensive Infusion Slot]

Cynn’s Jealousy: 71 Healing Power, 50 Power, 50 Toughness – 31 Healing Power, 18 Power, 18 Toughness [Unused Offensive Infusion Slot]

I know you say that you do read almost every thread on the forum, and that you even take time out of your daily schedule for that – and i do not require nor expect an answer, but, I would very much like to get a sign from one of you, if you read this.

Yours faithfully

Ash

I wish to raise a simple question; will the future releases of ascended gear continue to neglect “Healing” stats?

Currently, of the roughly 30 ascended rings and backpieces available in-game, only 4 contain a healing stat. In addition, these stats offer only +39 healing. Therefore, for a character who creates his/her build centered around healing ability, there is little motivation to obtain said rings and backpieces (as an exotic ring can offer up to +82 healing).

I understand the objective was to diversify the stats players choose, but I feel there is currently an intentional neglect for healing stats. I am also aware that ascended gear is relatively new, which is why I would like to know if future ascended gear will cater to a more healing friendly audience.

It is rather frustrating that we would all spend 3silver to travel to Fort Trinity just to run around in circles.
