Wow that is amazing, could any budding mathematicians work out the cost in USD for the heck of it?
This is from 2 weeks ago, but should be in the right ballpark.
For whoever is interested, I calculated the total cost of crafting Sunrise at current market prices.
Assuming 50% success rate getting Mystic Clovers and that you’re using 100 Charged Lodestones (which cost 93.43g, compared to a cost of 87.35g + 60 skill points if crafting them from Charged Cores).
The actual values will likely be lower, as I don’t envision the prices of any of the mats going up by a significant amount, but there’s a good chance a few of them will come down in the future, as more people have access to them. Also, you’ll be getting anywhere from 160 to 300 T6 mats while crafting the Clovers, which can cover about 50g.
The final cost is:
296 skill points, 100% World Completion, Gift of Battle (500 Badges of Honor), 500 Ascalonian Tears and 442.8 gold (for all the other mats that you can buy on the TP).
This gives the item a current net real life value of approximately $2041.308 (at the current rate of $4.61 per gold bought through the gem store) plus the time spent getting World Completion, Gift of Battle, farming Ascalonian Tears and farming an extra ~100 skill points via leveling (on top of all those gained on the way to 100% WC).
that reminds me, i found on my first run of AC explorable a hidden jumping puzzle with absolutely no point in it. i figured it was for another path, but i just realized i’ve done all 3 paths and never even got close to that place.

:)
This is my new favorite thread.
I concur. Can we make a “best-of” section for the forums?
Ori Greatsword Blade + Scroll + Coins are pretty much a given. The rest is.. rather up in the air.
You’d need about 20g to get one of each “interesting” item that could be used as the fourth. Might be Gift of Ascalon, since, you know, Foefire.
Sorry dude, but it’s the testers job to bring that to your attention…..it makes many doubt that these instances were even tested in the first place, and if so, what kind of god mode/staff characters/gear they had.
The updated failed to address the most pressing issues:-Dungeon balance/strategy
-Cost/time vs reward
-Grind fest
-Approachability to more casual gamers (aim your game towards a small group of hardcore players and thats ALL you will end up having in a few months)
-Crap drops
-NO FUN
Stop assuming that the way you feel is the way everybody feels. It’s incredibly narcissistic and aggressive behaviour.
1.) Alpha testers can’t possibly test for everything. They can’t just have one character spam each skill, from a different position every time, all throughout the encounter.
2.) Time/reward ratio is spot on for me, unless you just count tokens as rewards, and I feel comfortable saying with 100% certainty that you don’t have all dungeons on farm (or even a full explorable path set).
3.) Run each explorable path once, then move on to the next dungeon. You can’t complain that killing 200 Skale in a row is a grindfest, because in both cases you choose to make it a grindfest.
4.) Explorable modes are not aimed at casual gamers, they were always envisioned and made for people who can coordinate with their team mates extremely well. Casuals have everything else the game has to offer at their disposal.
5.) 1g from a 30 minute (Story mode!) run is not “crap”
6.) I had fun in every single dungeon run I’ve done, except when my guild insisted we speed clear TA/Up. That got less fun after the third repetition but, again, it was my choice. I could’ve said no and gone and done something else.
It’s been an hour =\
An hour to wait for an automated process? Obviously something is broke.
Or under load.
So now we have:
1. No gold from dungeons
2. No exp from dungeons
3. No fun from dungeons
4. No drop from dungeons
5. Ugly skins from tokens
6. more deaths because of dungeon difficulty after patch
nothing to do here.
So you think the skins from tokens are ugly. So.. you were doing dungeons for gold. You were running dungeons, which you don’t consider fun and the drops from which you don’t want, so it must’ve been a significant portion of your gold income.
Get a grip.
it is not our intention to make them feel like a grind.
then why did you make gear cost a trillion of 1 token for 1 dungeon
I’ll take this one.
Because you don’t need them, you want them. If you want them, you work for them. Plain and simple.
Bow doesn’t bug on Gunnar’s Hold – we killed it at the edge and it just went back to its spot, visible and all.
Skill points work after today’s update!

Dragonbrand’s is still broken. I can’t transfer servers because it’ll prevent me from going back.
Nope
i can’t believe basic services in this game are so slow
Fixing a bug is not a basic service.
I’m pretty sure the first person who provides an actual fix for it gets black lion keys for life.
Suggestion: have all skill points involving the mobs, all over the world, reset to their default location (including Z axis) and heal to full if they haven’t been interacted with in the past 5-10 minutes.

It’s not working.
Would be helpful if the GM told us his itinerary
Testing Devona’s Rest now.
Hammer got bugged while we were fighting it.
Sword bugged just as I got to it.

I support the overflow plan!
A Guardian should be able to move it with the Hammer or Staff slot 5 abilities.
Maybe you could ask nicely, and provide some actual useful feedback, such as the server you’re on, which events, where they’re stuck.
An easy fix would be dye changes aren’t saved unless you hit the dye mode button again.
Also, can someone try to remove dye, then select an actual dye (so that replaces the dye remover “cursor”) and close the whole thing with Escape?
This is intended.
Major Bug. Friend's character deleted inexplicably. Not hacked.

I think your friend should post directly, or open a support ticket (but not for a hacking issue, obviously).
So it’s bugged on all servers until a reset. Fantastic.
