Guild Wars 2

For me it was several reasons combined:
Ascended gear – represents a huge grind for me. It was a huge dissapointment seeing it being introduced in this game. GW2 was promised not to have a gear-grind if I wanted that i would have gone back to WOW. I also realised that with the armor sets coming out later i had to get all of it to play wvwvw.
Living story turned into a shopping list, i like to to new achievements – heck i love to do achievements – but in my own time. I felt in the end the way arenanet is treating the players, forcing us to logg in everyday to do these things. In the end i got stressed out. I play a game to have fun when i want to, not the way it is now.
Tequatl fail – i tried for days and days. Never managed to get into my own server. I have never seen such a fail event implemented in any online game i have played before.

There has to be more ways to get ascended gear and the 2 week shopping list with achievements have to go before i can return to this game. Hoping it will happen.

There is also another side to this. Some players like me are beginning to feel so stressed out about having to logg on everyday (which you have to do to complete the achievements for living world before it ends) that i think more and more of us feel we are forced to play. I am so feed up with this I am not logging in anymore just to protest. I think its the only way players can show Anet that we are feed up with this.

I think they already are. Teq encounter made me very close to leaving this game, never have i seen anything so badly implemented. After 5 days of overflows i gave up, if this is the way they want to go with more bosses i think you are right more players will leave the game.

Have you already forgotten they were account bound to begin with?
Anet had to change this because of abuse (players making new alts to get more tickets and deleting them again). Always someone who has to ruin it for the rest of us, i too would have liked to been able to send tickets to my lvl 80s.

Maybe give it another try now that the new events are out – there might be less people in there. I gave it 1 try a while back got killed a few times and gave up. Gave it another shot the morning after Cutthroat politics came out and it was completely empty!

I want to thank you for this guide, it helped me solo all tiers on my ranger.

I just soloed both candidate trials last night on a ranger. Before you start make sure your pet is on passive and use one that has an immobilize. At all time stay in the lower left corner where the left plunder spawns and take it down asap when you can. Save all your longer cooldowns for when the right plunderer spawns – use longbow: knockback and immobilize from your pet. Also take the right plunderer always when its coming back!. After its downed run all the way down as fast as you can to loose all mob-agroo. Rinse and repeat. In one of the tier-4 events i got lucky and only got spawns from the left.
Hint: I am a woman in my 40ties – if i can do this anyone can :P

Its totally doable – just got this after 1 hours try. No mango eating or other buffs. I did notice however it does seem as mentioned by others a bit on luck. “Good luck”
