Anet didn’t start to allow F2P as a charity for those who don’t “have” money for gaming. They did it to give people who don’t drop money on games upfront, the chance to try it out and hopefully like it enough to justify buying it.

I was thinking like that for buying a swtor to have some restricitons lifted of me as I play it from time to time but then again I thinked it over and decided not. Thats a very good thing Anet done and i support them in it.

im unemployed(and looking for work) but managed to save for 2 HoT purchased did that by making surveys like crazy on couple sites that pay for thoes things, so u can if u want.

no i payed 50 bucks 1 year ago i didnt saw the so 40 free additions u talk about i didnt saw SAB/LS1 and w ont see it so quit ur yapin about 3years becuse not all did been here 3years i wasnt and my friend i took here 2.

Free players can’t access custom arenas until rank 20+ which is impossible to have reach at this point, so yeah…

With that said yes we are paying for an expansion..and Anet being Anet wants to give new players a break. We played for three years for 50 bucks (some alot more) Im sure we can play another 3 years for 50 bucks if ya want to. Thats pretty cheap for the caliber of game GW2 is actually.
New players are getting the core game for free by purchasing the expansion.
Now if we could only stop them from dumbing down the game for new players, we had to work for the buffs we have.

im playing 300 days and i payd 39.99 not had access to LS1/SAB and now i have to pay more for base(there are no free things in business) plus expac not a kittening chance, and as the person above me i purchased thru a retailer.

That has nothing to do with what I said. Buying gems is completely optional. You get all the Living Story updates and patches without buying gems.

Hmm strange when I bought game 147 days ago i had to buy missing stories for gems witch wasnt for free.

On a side note if i will buy the core game again(with “expansion”) will it open me the mising LS1? doubt that

I still plan on playing GW2 and fighting all your revenants with my old school non mastery toons and enjoying the game I paid $150 for that I can play forever while Anet gives that game away for free to the new guys. If the game goes on sale I’ll snatch it up but until then as a consumer I’ll play what I’ve already paid for until they turn the servers off.

So let’s say the expansion is worth 25$.
You pay another 25$ for having the living story and newcomers pay another 25$ for the core game.
Looks fair to me.

you are not buying the game twice……the expension price is 50$ but for someone who dont have the core game aleady they get it for free as a bonus.its a way to attract new comer.

Not quite as the new comer will have to buy the whole package if will want to play further, so its a dirt offer i hope they will rewrite the whole thing and its just for a pre purchase and after goes live the upgrade, and only upgrade will be priced half of what they ask now.

Yes i had exotic one and as for thoes they dont unlock instant upon gething them as they not account bound upon getting them, but salvage did the job now need pick add to colection, so i lost an item worth 10g and no unlock.

Example i did get a Ulgoth tail exo its not bound upon landing in ur inventory but if u salvaged items that did belong in a colections they skin(if apply) they were added for ur colections, and i had a kralkatorik(forgot the last part) i did salvage it and it didnt go in my collections, now i have to click it and pick add to colection instead of just salvage.

After salvaging a colection item they no longer add to ur colections

No all wb are 1h earlier then usualy for teq I was mostly at 13:30 now it shows at 12:30
