I am still waiting and hoping for a Spinal blade glider. Considering the amount of effort that went into making one. I hate it when my back-piece jumps to a different glider look. It breaks the immersion. Even if you charged gems for it, I am sure many would buy it.

I would love to see the spinal blade backpiece as a glider. To make it more unique you can even make it that only ascended can get it or make it upgrade-able in the gemstore. I would gladly pay for it!

I love my spinal backpiece and cringe each time it changes to something completely different when I start/stop gliding.

You probably do not even have to change the animation, it already moves and glows and is in the correct position for a glider.

Anet, PLEASE make this happen!

Sounds like a great idea! I guess they already plan more glider skins (the only question is if those will be gemstore onlys).

But please finally implement that build saving feature before going into more cosmetics like this

Hopefully the gliders won’t be implemented as a gemstore/moneymaking only method and they will listen to the players. Here is hoping!

As someone who has all four ascended skins (green, blue, red, & the unmodified orange) i would LOVE to see these as gliders!
Going with the theme of backpieces helping you glide, though, here are some others i want to see:
-Mawdrey! We put a great deal of effort into crafting it, and there are mordrem with ‘wings’ presumably made out of vines. When you deploy your glider, a tangle of purple/white vines grow out into a configuration like the struts of a glider with a leaf-like membrane stretched between them.
-Light of Dwayna: It already has little wings, but when you start gliding, large translucent angel wings would appear behind your character.
-Shadow of Grenth: In keeping with the Light of Dwayna, this would extend wing-like swirls of icy mist behind your character while in flight.

Any other cool backpieces that could be turned into gliders?

There are so many back pieces that would lend itself well to a glider skin. I really hope Anet is listening in and makes this happen!

Many of us spent a lot of time, effort and sometimes money to get these backpieces done, so it would be a great reward as glider skins

Hi All

As per below topic on reddit, I and I am sure many others would like to use their spinal blade back pieces as glider skins. It lends it self rather well to it seeing that it looks like a jetpack.

What would the possibility be of implementing this as such? As an idea, if you want to make it more exclusive, maybe only allow the ascended level(tempered, static, dynamic and synergetic) back piece to become available to those players who already have it or may still make it.

Making it accessible via the scouts in Verdant Brink just like the feathered wings.
