I totally agree with the OP. WoodenPotatoes is a great source for GW and GW2 lore. He puts his heart and soul into his work and I can totally agree to an in-game representation of him!
Although I thought the periscopes were fun to do and finished them within two weeks, I found it to be a bit of a grind. However, that was totally my fault because 1: I didn’t pay attention to which tasks were required for April’s monthlies and got started on them mid-month. 2: I finished a full tier of the darn things before I realized that I needed to destroy 150 in total and once I got started I HAD to finish. Thankfully I had my hubby by my side to help destroy these nuisances and it went a lot smoother. BTW the periscopes have been the only content that I’ve experienced where I’ve felt any hint of a grind, and I’ve played since the first public beta.

I noticed something too. Before logging for the night, I redyed my armor. The next time I logged in my armor was its old color. Very odd.
I’ve only completed story mode on three of the dungeons so far. Last night being the first where I couldn’t get to a waypoint when I died. I love this game and have had little to no critisim about it since launch but I have to say that this new way of “working” together in a dungeon doesn’t really work at all. A-Net, can’t we meet half way? Say if three of our party dies, can’t we be able to use a waypoint and get back into the fight? It really is NO fun to just lie there watching the remainder of the party get picked off one by one and not be able to help. Please rethink this.

So, I’m standing around with my hubby trying to map out where to go next when suddenly the walls close in around me, literally, only to discover I’ve been giftwrapped! I couldn’t get out and my only option was to unwrap myself, lol. Thankfully I didn’t have to share my special space with any of the Devil Dolls so my stay wasn’t too bad. A bit lonely tough…
Where do I sign up for the Bot Beaters? I’d be happy to give bots the smack down!
A lot of people understand the mechanics of a game so well, and can put into practice all the synergic details, that it makes me very jealous! I don’t crunch the numbers – I hate numbers – instead I do what I think will be fun and I’m HUGH on being attracted to the animations of skills which is what draws me to certain weapons. That said, if it isn’t obvious, I have no clue how to make weapon choice, traits and/or skills work together. I PVE. So, I like many others, go to websites to check out others’ builds. I found a really fun one that involves using the Elementalists skill that gives a lightning hammer. The hammer, while active, replaces your usual weapon/s of choice and it IS a lot of fun! And very effective at bashing the enemy! Another aspect that makes this build fun, for me at least, is there are 25 points put into the water trait line and, because of this at least in part, my Elementalist is constantly regenerating health. That is not to say she doesn’t take damage and die, but I have found that I don’t have to run away to heal quite as much as I did before when I was trying to put together a build on my own. Anyhow, just my 2 cents… about Elementatlists.
I do agree that all the professions are a blast to play and can prove it by the seven characters I am currently working on leveling… while eyeing an eight character slot! Have fun!

I’d love it if we could change the look of our characters. Changing hairstyles and facial hair would be a great addition but I’m also hoping to be able to change my sylvari’s skin color. What I thought looked great when I created them doesn’t seem to great now. If this were an option I would definitely go for it even if I have to pay for the service.
My Sylvari Necromancer is named Gwenwyna Eiddew which is Welsh for poison ivy and a Mesmer, Ceibhfhionn, named after the Irish goddess of inspiration.
Skill point NPC is missing on Sanctum of Rall as well. Maybe he got tired of getting beaten up and took a vacation
