A few Mag players above have said a few things about how they communicate. And Anyone watching them would see how well they do indeed communicate. They are fantastic. Not only do they communicate well across their map, they also appear to communicate across the different maps just as well. I do no’t believe all the force we see Mag stop us with is response from only the map , but I think people come from other maps depending on what the feed back is from around the entire “globe”

I have seen videos with them working together through common practice and understanding. They build siege at great speed as well. Our server isn’t there yet. It’s not. Anyone who has had to ask more than one time for a piece of siege to be built would see this. I will say that we have a lot of new “newbie” WvW blood, and it’s a great time to get into the practice of better habits.

Even if Mag was cheating, and I am absolutely not implying this, but if they were; it can not be the reason we are not winning. Communication is poor and team work, while improving over the last week, is lackluster. We have a tremendous amount of talent and looking for excuses to make our loss more palatable is a waste of it all.

I am willing to bet there are Borlis Members who think they have seen DR and Mag cheat, just as I am sure Mag has seen players in Borlis and DR appear to cheat. It’s as tired an argument as population related battle loss.

HooOoly!! Mag everywhere! I went afk to go Bio, and one jumped out of my shower at me! I sprayed him with chloraseptic, he went down and before I could finish him He went mist form and escaped out my sink. I honestly have zero idea where he is.

Mag attack on Garrison was awesome. It was a 6-10 golem attack, that began on the water gate. It was awesome! Not too sure what happened at one point, but nobody was able to spot the golems. There were a few rogue attackers on a few different doors that would result in false positives. I don’t want to say hysteria, but there was a wild sense of confusion. lot’s of great little fights here and there. Fun night so far, peeps.

We have plenty of good guilds left. Unfortunately, I don’t think there are many left with the size and leadership to make up for those that have left. What is remaining are the guilds who just play to have fun. We can be very good, but many times we’re just messing around in TS, not able to move due to laughing too hard from something someone said, encouraging people to play what they want, lvl 20 or 80.

I’d love to see us, RGTG, TRON, TBE, or RegA step up and lead, but I don’t know if we have it in us. We are semi-competitive, but really just want to play to have fun. You’re more likely to see us say “Good fight!” than “OMG WTF Dude, you totally suck to my 1337zor skillz!”. Although, when we’re clicking, we can hold down a bl pretty kitten well with inferior numbers on our side. It just takes 2 or 3 guilds of us in one bl. I don’t know if I’d want to ruin my enjoyment of the game by yelling stay tight, stack up, etc in TS. It’s hard enough for us to assist on target at times :p.

Only time will tell.

I’ve laughed so hard in TS; I’ve cried, I’ve blacked out, I’ve fallen out of my chair, I’ve been visited by dead relatives and once I thought I was a young boy from Lithuania for 3 hours.

Personally I don’t look at the lack of numbers as a bad thing. Anyone who’s been around long enough remembers the days when DR couldn’t even hold the NW and NE towers at the same time in our own BL. Days when 25 people in DRB was a lot! I’m sure i’m in the minority here when I say population size is less important than the quality of people who comprise it.

It’s a good time for those of us who remain behind to strengthen our relation ships with our other remaining worldmates. We may not have the people to make it about guild tags, and commander sigils so it may be an opportune time to start making it about DR.

This match has been awesome! two weeks of getting beat down followed by two weeks of us completely demolishing our competition we finally get the the soup that’s just right.

This match has it all! small men teams running about, zerg battles, siege wars, scout’s roaming all over every map, you never know what you are going to get. a small scrap will turn into a full blown battle! I’ve been part of a few “small” 3v3, 3v4, 4v5 fights and literally see The enemy team trickle in from one enterence to a supply camp, while my own did the same from another. when a fight grows from a hand full of players to a camp full, that’s a kitten fight! Lots of happy laughs.

This match has it all. I have seen a golom escorting a yak, I have also seen 25+ escorting a yak. I know that there is a lot of kittening about Ebay and YB working together. So, when I see an ebay and an SBI fight, I help Ebay just to keep the impression going.

I have also run into a pack of ebay killing SBI and been slaughtered. You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and then you have, wvw.

I would like to thank the 5?6?7? 8? 10? man DDLG grp at the south sentry for not killing me when I auto ran into your team while packing my bowl. I’m looking down working on my stuff and I hear a few people yelling at me in TS. Naturally everyone else had stopped. I strolled right into the middle, and was getting attacked for a moment, then it stopped and I was left to auto run further south.

This game needs auto follow.

Like people stated earlier do your best to lose as slowly as possible. For the ones who are fighting through the night capping try to take key points at the 5 minute mark of the point tally. You’d be surprised how coordinated 2-3 man teams can gain a decent amount of points by simultaneously flipping 3-5 supply camps at the same time to get that extra 15-25 PPT.

Mag has this to a science. and it’s a big contributor to why they have such a nice lead. I’m so happy that a Maguumian pointed it out. this is killer advice peeps. killer.

But I think the zerg has a lot of purpose, and I think the better way to deal with the situation is to give more incentive to do things is small groups, as opposed to giving less incentive to do things in zergs.

This is the answer. I really don’t see much reward or incentive for healing people, support classes, or defense. There is less loot in it, less badges, and less glory.

Why would anyone who only cares about themselves and loot do any of the above?

I hail from Devona’s Rest and I think we are best known for the small bakeries we set up in redbriar and greenlake. The morning coffee is excellent and the croissants are to die for.

Normally around lunch time you can get a pretty kitten good ham and cheese on a french roll. It’s been pretty successful thus far. Rumor has it that our server is about to begin accepting WvW tokens as payment at our 3rd location, atop the EB jump puzzle.

if you haven’t had the deliciousness of a DR baked good, then you might as well be fighting hungry and tired. .. in the cold beating rain.

I enjoy playing a lowbie in WvW. I was out and about last night and had a pretty fun time on him. I too was run down by a zerg of red names. I didn’t kill any of them, but I know for a fact they were tired by the time they caught me. They all had to lay down on top of me after finally cornering me in a corner. ..by myself. .. alone in a corner.

I sent each of them tells calmly explaining how despite the fact I was the one who died, they were the ones who lost. I also provided a list of excuses reasons as to why my claim was true.. I knew it didn’t make sense when I said it, So when they asked me to explain I told them they would need to figure it out on their own. That makes me look smarter.

I watched a solo Mesmer toy with close to 8 people trying to catch him. He never left the area, he just kept running them in circles or would spawn a bunch of clones, and run off and watch the zerg kill them all, then check under their feet to see if the actual Mesmer was there when it clicked that they had been killing clones all along.

I took my 72 HP condition damage tics to visit a yak. where bronze invader prolly payed me the largest insult of my GW2 career. First he saw me standing in the ruins, and he ignored me. He prolly noticed my title was Noob or some ish. I charged him (ran up and waved) he ignored me, ran past me, and headed west towards SW tower where DR and whichever server Yarr and WZ comes from were kinda mixing fists.

I opened one of those sample sized cans of whoop kitten on the yak. My invader friend came back. he didn’t kill me. he swatted me away from the yak. as soon as I disengaged he ignored me again. I tried to slap that yak again, he came back. as soon as the yak delivered it’s payload he walked away and let the guards have me.

It hurt. I felt like a needy high school girl willing to put out and I was just ding dong ditched.

fun stuff. I like this match up. Lots of fun peeps out and about.

I just read on a website that Anet is adding in an achievement for culling AND zerg size. There is supposedly and Easter egg set up to give you a non combat piece of clothing if you get both to go off at the same time.

Yorgy you are correct. I don’t post often on these forums and I am one of the mumble commanders for Maguuma. One thing we have is indeed amazing communication. Not just that, but despite the forum antics of some, we also don’t pull out our peakitten chests when someone needs help in another borderlands. What you all are seeing, during off-peak time, isn’t a consistent zerg across all borderlands but instead each time a major objective is under siege and we feel we need more to repel we have someone hop into each borderland channel and do a “risk assessment” of the situation there and then relay the information to them about our predicament. One thing we are definitely good at is knowing how many to send and how many to keep.

I Sincerely appreciate that you did. How your people move screams to me that you guys keep a very open line of communication across a good number of commanders, co-commanders (respectively) and hard working troops. I can tell that you are using numbers instead of blanketed “all on me” , “Zerg @”, “Need Help NOW” types of feedback.

Watching the out manned buff is a pretty good indication that you have response coming in from other maps and you are evaluating pro’s and con’s for movement on more than a single objective. It’s fascinating to watch to be honest. You have eyes everywhere and on top of it all your server does a fantastic job of padding their point spread just before the cycle restarts. This is all with balance, which I admire. Hands Down, Mag has been the smartest enemy we have had to face. I personally have had a fantastic time experiencing this.

I watched multiple mag players on multiple occasions sacrifice themselves to get in a position so corpse could report numbers, siege count, and placement. Then watched Mag respond in force, in smart waves, from multiple directions to eradicate our seemingly equal numbers. + or – it was a superb battle at Astral a few nights ago.

The announcement of the paid transfers has shied me from checking out Mag next week. I know you guys are moving up, and you are in for a battle. I wanted to watch how you do it under extreme pressure. I have enjoined seeing your servers overall positive outlook and team-team attitude on the forums. You have had members of your community post with logic, facts, information, and for the most part I would say without an air of arrogance.

I walk away from any stretch with a server appreciating my competition, even K after all this time. But Mag should be a learning experience for many of us on DR on the next level. And how to use previous methods with new methods. If not, we have probably met our wall and if things continue status quo, for both our servers, this could very well be our last meeting.

I think i see a pattern of what’s happened between PRO and a few other guilds/commanders/players.

- prior to PRO coming to DR the server fell rapidly to bottom rank. failed miserably in WvW. (just stating a fact, not ego boosting or anything. check the official ranking numbers)
- PRO transfered in, landed a solid team to motivate players to get organized and focus on the same objectives.
- Other commanders and/or guilds got ruffled and felt that PRO was “taking over” (as someone stated) and we were “bossing” folks around

Now lemme try to clarify something without point fingers and calling names. PRO is the sole reason this server turned around and won this week.

Did we do it alone, heck no! we had awesome teamwork

This is why people are jumping at you. You are misinformed and narrow sighted if you believe pro is the sole reason. I don’t think you actually believe this. I just think you are being a blow hard. The server population has been on the incline in WvW it was a matter of time before we saw improvement.

That being said, pro absolutely helped the server, sped things up and provided a massive push towards this weeks win. I look forward to seeing the pink hats sail off server next week and see how we all kick kitten together next week with a semi-settled population.

We are far from perfect, people. Both sides of this ridiculous pro / anti-pro crap that this thread has turned into need to figure out a way to work together. This means being willing to adapt, on both sides.

We have a win this week, can we not see that it’s not about a single alliance, Guild, or Commander and everyone played a part.

I have been lucky enough to miss all this drama, I got to see lots of great names move up this week and help push for a win. I’m excited.

Good Job DR, let’s try to avoid making an obnoxious video. It’s only the first of many wins to come. Get out there and congratulate your realm mates, they helped.

This isn’t a play to win or a play for fun mindset. This is an individual thing. granted different folks have different strokes. not everyone plays for the win at the end of the week. Some want to kill, kill, kill. That’s cool. Nobody should be telling Player-X they are not allowed to attack Blue Tower – X. It’s a game. You have no right. Just like James Games has every right to spend stupid amounts of gold on Goloms only to get them burned down walking around aimlessly. It’s his right. It’s your right to simply go have fun somewhere else and ignore him for existing.

That being said, if people on your server are trying to build a win working “something out” with another server, the least you could do is take the time to consider what’s happening outside your limited field of view. Sometimes it’s far easier to do when the people working this out actually communicate. Let’s not forget you are all one of many on a server, just because you feel you are better you are not. Stop being jackholes and communicate. Team mates.

Mag was grinding our faces in the dirt and BP was helping. If not going after a blue tower means we relieve pressure from somewhere else so our smaller numbers can deal elsewhere, whats the big deal?

Get the score close. Then when it’s close people who can do more than lead 20+ others to a door need to figure out how to manipulate numbers, people, score later.

Not attacking BP gives us more numbers for mag.
Not attacking BP makes it easier to defend against mag.
Not attacking BP moves us out of 3rd

attacking BP undoes all that.

Attacking BP gets us invaders from BP while we are having a hard time keeping Mag out.
Attacking BP gets us beat on from the east in EB
and attacking BP takes people out of other areas where we actually need them.

From what I have gathered, the agreement leaves SM open as well as camps. So really, whats the problem here? we can still fight BP, but working with them preserves our noses.

Want to take a tower? go take a tower from Mag. Why is this so insulting to so many of my server mates?

Ferg person here (and I don’t talk for the server just myself) and to be honest i’m really sick of both DR and Kain server so I hope one of you moves up. As a ferg when we were top we got moved and you know what we got our &%#! handed to us for a week. Moving up a bracket hurts especially when it was against DH (we lost alot of PvP players that week as well).

I was really hoping that Kain would have moved up with all their EGO last week but alas I was annoyed that you didn’t (I personally think you needed it but I think ANET wants to pamper you like a little fluffy kitten as their… precious). DR I really hope you move up this week also. A huge PvP guild moves to your server and your in 1st and you act like they had nothing to do with and everyones attitude seems to STINK including PRO’s. All your bashing and crying back and forth between each other i’m tired of hearing it on this post and tired of your puffed chested move up a bracket and get your !#%% handed to you.

I log in and see that Ferg has the outmanned buffs and Kain has taken everything but DR’s home map and DR is not even challenging them? Hmm who was crying yesterday about teams working together?? Anyhow whatever just one of you move up (i’m sure it would be DR as they look to win) so that I don’t have to listen to this junk you people are posting in a 3 way WvW post.

As Long as I don’t see a DR video or some over blown hoo-ra to celebrate the win you are way off. People on DR should be excited and it’s not just pro. if pro moved to DR and the rest of DR moved to ferg, and DR still won, all props to PRO, that didn’t happen, so it not just them. It’s the server.

After this last weekend. I am beginning to wonder if there is a server better suited for my personality and mind set. There must be a server that exists that is more about teamwork and planning than ego stroking and self promotion.

hahaha, well if thats the case, I couldn’t make that move till we aren’t at war. I am so against pink hat PvP that to jump to a winning server makes me feel cheap. I like to work for my win. I like to contribute. I like to see growth, and more important I enjoy a team victory. I’m one of the last of a dying breed. I want to be on a team. Not surrounded by Me’s and I’s.

I heard the sliding door open behind me and the squeak of a walker wheel. I knew she had back up. I swung around and strafed left. Luckily, for her, she had he sister with her who was much more agile. The one in the walker moved like she was a keyboard turner lawl.

I kited her around, jumping over her elderly bingo partner while I fought her sister. Thats right, 3 old ladies. I got the nimble one down as the walker got Bingo lady up. I finished the nimble one and snared the walker lady by .. picking up her walker and throwing it out into the parking lot. bingo lady jumped on my back. I got real lucky cause when I went to swing to get her off, I crushed the walker lady in the face with my elbow and sent her down. without her walker she was a defenseless as a downed ranger, so I left her there to struggle while I barely finished off mrs. Bingo. It took so long, that I had to run. I ran pretty hard.

I’m ptolly gunna go back to Sears in a while and see if she’s still there.

this morning? I took my dog out, before leaving for work. And because it was chilly, I got a hot coffee in addition to my ice coffee. Doesn’t make sense right? But, The building I work in, they keep the temp at almost 75 degrees!! I can’t really wear shorts in January, I really push my luck trying to wear them in November if the temp hasn’t dropped below 70.
