I would make gear using stat prefixes that will work with builds in other classes, because eventually, you will get tired of Anet taking a giant dump on elementalist while doing nothing to fix how broken the class is and you’ll watch to recycle it to play your alts.
I’m actually not kidding, by the way; I had contemplated making celestial ascended at one point and if I had, I wouldn’t have been able to so easily transfer it and use it with my reaper.
In that case what is, in your opinion, the best all round stat for light armor? This is so hard to choose because i don’t think i will be able to do another ascended in a long time.
I play a staff condition ele, is my favorite, and for what i have read that’s not the best roll for it, but i like it and enjoy playing it, it take me a long time and research to make it work. I’m no expert and if ascended where not so hard/time consuming to get a would get my current armor stats as ascended.
I always though that with celestial i could always change trinkets/rings/amulets to fill what i needed . but i don’t know if that’s the best choice. I’m going to get my celestial exotic out of the bank and start experimenting.
At the end i make this post to help me and get a better understanding at how thing are ATM, but i’m doing my research (google mostly too

You best know what you play most. Using celestial outside of WvW is not optimal, even in WvW only for roaming and small fights. You can use celestial for casual running in open pve maps, but for anything else like fractals/dungeons/raids you shouldn’t use it.
Ok I have taken your advise into consideration, going to wait for a little more feedback to make a decision, because I know that the other option is zerk (everytime is zerk
) and I’m not a big fan of zerk or the playstyle/environment it force to use while playing with others (pug), that’s why i prefer playing with friends, but atm only 2 of them remain In game.
This force me to take something that’s useful to pug, but I didn’t know celestial was so bad or in such state, when i use my celestial set i don’t feel it that bad and i have complete a lot of dungeons with it. If Celestial is not viable to raid because of the reason you mention, that’s going to be a big factor in my decision.

I have almost all mats to do my first ascended armor part and i was thinking of going celestial since the beginning, but now that is almost time to craft my first piece i’m having second thought.
What make me decide to go celestial is the fact that i want to do everything the game have to offer wvwvw/spvp/pve/fractal, beside that, i change build all the times. I have 4 exotic sets because of that, and i don’t plan of doing 4 ascended armors. (celestial/zerk/knight/carrion)
What do you recommend me, i’m doing the right choice or what should i craft.
