Same thing. Managed to wiggle my way past it by questing, but it happened again an hour later. Most irritating.

Same here, though it’s mostly an irritant rather than a real problem, as it only occurs when I’m closing down the client anyway.

Besides, a tiny (young or merely unusually short?) Asura who’s into Scarlet (Sylvari, so pretty much a talking, walking plant), whose name, as a happy accident (or IS it an accident…? dumdumDUUM) just happens to mean “Sapling” or “Seedling” in Finnish ;^)

Was trying to buy some Elder Wood Logs for crafting. Kept getting an error message (there was a couple logs appearing and disappearing, on a cheaper sell order), and it looked like the game didn’t want to register my purchase if the total amount of money kept changing between when I refreshed the screen to when I pressed the buy button.

Kept at this for a few moment, scratched my head and muttered curses. I checked that no money had been lost, and there really were no items waiting to be retrieved from the Trading Post representative. Then suddenly… a lot of gold is gone and I have TONS of the blasted things, ready to be retrieved.

I was not a happy camper – that was way more of the things than I intended to buy, and a lot of gold down the drain. If the game tells me no purchase was made due to an error, I expect that no money will go flying outta the window when the game suddenly changes its mind a few minutes later.

I suppose nothing can to be done to resolve a bug of this sort after the fact? Still have the items on the representative, waiting for pick-up.

Happens to me all too often as well. Only in WvW, never seen it anywhere else, no matter how big a ball of players ran around in the area. Might work for 2 hours, no problem, might hit 10 minutes after I sign in. Though it does usually trigger during a big battle. Sometimes the sound bug is followed by a client crash, but the beeping is more than annoying on its own; just you try and keep an ear on your commander’s orders on a voice chat when the game is wailing in your ears non-stop.
