Too bad A-net will probably never see this post because of the attention seeking people who ask for things that just don’t fit into GW2. Anyways this was just a test to see if it’s possible to affect the development of GW2.

I have lately been thinking alot about GW2. About where we are now with the game and where we will be in the future.
I can imagine the future will involve new races, zones, and weapon skills but that is not what i want to talk about.
I have an idea that in my opinion would make GW2 a whole lot more fun and rewarding.
here we go!
Weapon Skill Augmentation:
So this idea comes mainly from Diablo 3. I felt that game did some things right to an extent. One of the things i think GW2 really could use is more customization (weapon skill wise). So the idea goes as following.
In GW2 you have 5 weapon skills (on your first weapon set). What if you could upgrade each of these skills to give them just an “extra touch”?
Let me give an example.
Elementalist – staff – water attunement
Water blast:
Upgrade choice 1: Makes your Water Blast heal more.
Upgrade choice 2: Makes your Water Blast heal you and also allies in the blast radius.
Upgrade choice 3: Makes your Water Blast inflict Vulnerability
Ice Spike:
Upgrade choice 1: Makes the Ice Spike deal more Damage
Upgrade choice 2: Makes the Ice Spike daze your opennents for 0.5 sec, but reduces its radius
Upgrade choice 3: Makes the Ice Spike give 10 Vulnarability instead of 5
Etc… etc… etc….
These “Upgrade choices” were something i came up with quite quickly, so coming up with ideas on how the different weapon skills, change should not be too hard.
As you might have noticed, i had written “choice”, and that’s deliberate. You won’t be able to have all 3 upgrades equipped at the same time, no, you choose 1 and then you will have to switch it out of combat if you so desire.
Now the price of theese upgrades are ofc completly up to A-net but, i thought why not offer theese upgrades for skill points?
10 skill points to unlock 1 of the upgrades?
That way people will need 50 skill points in total if they want to upgrade each of their skills, and if they really want all of the upgrades (so they can switch between them) then they will need 150 skill points, in total. 300 if you are a crazy Banana that just needs every single upgrade for both of your weapon sets.
What do you think?

This is incredibly annoying that it hasn’t been fixed, the extra healing is actually a quite major part of my support build.
Hi.
I have noticed my Rune of the Flock no longer procs its extra healing. Am i the only one who is having this issue?
I will have to agree with alot of people on that i miss hunting down bosses that had a chance of giving unique loot.
I just finished a 30 min long Karka farming run and noticed A-Net has nerfed the Karka shells drop rate again… I’m so tired of that every drop feels so random.
So all in all i miss certain creatures dropping certain items.
I have no doubt they will let us change weapon skills in some way in the future, but having a bigger skill bar. No just no.
Some people find it fun to have 400 skills with 20 of them considered viable, i really don’t.
We have known this for so long now, it’s a design choice they made and that’s just how it is.
