For me the deciding passage is: I wanted to try something that can actually take some direct damage without dying.
I consider my Guardian to be my main character, but in terms of survivability, he’s one of the weakest. The Guardian has very low base health, putting you at serious one-shot risk, also at PvE bosses. My Warrior, while being weaker geared than my Guardian, definitely is more durable. (I still consider the Guardian more fun to play, but in terms of efficiency and durability, it’s one of the weakest of all classes. )
Give them six cups! (And male char four more hands, of course. )
This topic has a long beard. I think it’s as old as the guardian class. But yes, since people use this ability for speed, be it offensively or defensively, it would be more consistent if the ability and the voice line would be “double time”. That one is neutral and works for any situation.
I am about to run in fear. No twelve points of nerfing the Guardian this patch. They finally must’ve run out of ideas on how to further nerf us.
It fits perfectly for a Charr, at least my guardian thinks so. Being a Guardian is a matter of ideology, after all, and while Charrs might have their own ways, nobody could claim that they don’t have their own ideas and ideals.
On the “magical feeling”, the two points:
1. My Charr actually doesn’t feel too magical. Neither the Greatsword nor the Bow seem much more magical than some other classes weapons to me, and for shouts the same is true.
2. Historically speaking the Charr never rejected magic and their “beastly” manner definitely is not in the way. Formerly their magic was wielded by their shamans. The only thing you should not expect a Charr to really like is religion. Anything which is considered to be granted by a god or anything like that they will reject. But as long as the Guardian acts on his own power and is not declared to be some kind or Paladin, it works well for the Charr.
What? The guardian has something on the function keys? Indeed, i vaguely remember that, but i couldn’t remember when i last time used them…
im still hopeful that its a turret rework too
I would very much also appreciate that. I have leveled an Engineer “just for fun” and really enjoyed using turrets as long as i was in the “normal” game, but anything in the Silverwastes and any boss just smashes the turrets in no time, as they are really bad at evading.
So, any upgrade there would be welcome from my side, in the current state my Engineer went to the storage where he’ll collect dust till turrets are made useful. (Without the turrets, other classes are just so much more appealing to me that the Engineer simply doesn’t matter. )
