Either you have poor reading comprehension or are totally ignoring this thread. Read again what everyone is saying.
Point made…or just continue to ignore the overall problem and maybe one day you may find yourselves sitting in a empty borderland.
Am I the only one that gets it? Or are those running condi refusing to come up off their builds?
All I ever hear these days is how WvW is dead, or that this condi build is OP or that class is OP.
You also have the those who blame those who jumped ship for a gold server leaving the silver / bronze servers gutted.Day after day I hear this and no one ever comments on the common denominator.
Condition Damage IS the problem with WvW.
It is the reason why newer players stay away from WvW…tried of dying…lack of funds to build…lack of understanding of the builds.
It is a reason why people jumper servers…to be with others who are running the “flavor of the month” (builds / classes) and who communicate on TS. To be in a server with Condi liked people and not have to deal with pugs who are NOT running condi and become a liability.
And then there is this question…Why spend the time or gold on a build that is ONLY used in WvW?When a few condi bombs can wipe a zerg…can you really sit there with your condi build and say that Condition Damage is not the problem with WvW?
What does this have to do with druids again?

Yes GW2 is getting older…yes alot of the better players who still play jumped ship to join a gold guild / server.
I do not think that a stupid borderland is responsible for people leaving.
The only reason I quit playing WvW is because of the Condition Meta.
I got sick of watching a zergs being wiped by condi bombs.
What happened to old days when you actually had to work for your kills?
Just my opinion, but the way I see it is that most newer people who come to WvW quickly leave because their builds or class are not suited to condi.
Hell, I have been in many zergs that will not add certain classes because those classes are not front liners and have no condi cleans.
And…what is the point of spending hundreds of gold to build a set of gear that is useless everywhere else in the game?
It is sad to see WvW come to this where only 2 or 3 classes / builds are deemed acceptable.
What a waste of code.
I blame Anet for seeing the problem but doing nothing to correct it.
This is another issue relative to the lack of splits that I find many people overlook. PvE and WvW players can spend oodles of time and resources to get a particular combination of runes and stats, only for it to be rendered obsolete. Meanwhile, PvP players can click a few times and lose no progress whatsoever – oh, and they get gold refunds for amulets that are taken out of circulation.
I thought about putting together an Ascended Commander’s set for raiding on my Mesmer, but I know deep down all that effort can be marginalized on any given Tuesday – so what’s the point? I’m sure I’m not the only PvE player who feels like they’re being held hostage.
^^^ Said it better ^^^
Nerf, nerf, nerf.
Well I have a nerf for you Arenanet. Try nerfing Conditional Damage for a change.
I have never played PVP, yet my ranger is taken another kitten nerf which makes me even less wanted in WvW zergs.
Some would say that Rangers have the highest DPS…well according to this page…Rangers didn’t even make the LIST!

I just want to say thank you for pushing me away from almost 2 years work.
In my opinion, the condi meta is ruining WvW and good luck having any kind of conversation in WvW forums about it.
If you do not run Condi…you can not compete…for the most part.
It is just sickening to watch someone spam conditional while most classes only have 1 cleanse. Worse yet, is watching a zerg get wiped by condi bombs and there is nothing you can do about it.
Yet you will hear the Condi’s say to change your build to the Meta, if you want to survive.
Keep it up Anet…and WvW will go back to emptiness it was before the server merger.

Exactly
So instead of nerf, nerf, nerf which does nothing but **** people off…either give more condi removes to the other non condi classes to slow the spamming of condi
or…
Lessen the condi damage / increase the cooldown and bring Conditional Damage back to reality.
I would love to see something to reduce what has become a condi driven WvW.
It is pretty apparent that if you are not running a heavy condi or condi resistance class than you are mostly useless to the zerg.
All you have to do is watch on any given day the zerg vs zerg battles and the condi bombs that wipe out 1/3rd of a zerg at a time.
Is this what WvW has been reduced too?
By no means am I saying to remove condi damage…just tone it down so that it is not the ONLY thing.
