I heard this happened and that is terrible.
Our problem with Tyria is that we are letting all these the dirty Asuran presence in Tyria. We need to send send these creatures back to where they came from.
If you’re looking to rally for the cause ask Nessie for a guild invite. We are protesting Asura’s presence and Hman’s violence against our brother, Kizos.
So you think its fine that you can do a 4 part Dynamic Event chain that takes 45min – 1hour and by the time you’re done it THIS ONE CHAIN you are getting diminishing returns which at level 80 in Orr end up being 360 karma and 1.8 silver down to 19 Karma and 9copper? REALLY 9 copper at level 80? It’s ridiculously overkill.
I understand ArenaNet has stats etc but they also seem to be hellbent on eliminating bots and not thinking about the impact this has on your normal everyday non casual (I’m not meaning full no life hardcore) player. I play maybe 3-4hrs every day or 2 and I see these problems hitting me. This should not be the case it should be the bots and (even though I don’t agree with this part) hardcore players doing it 24/7 or 8-10hrs a day.
If they want us to go to different areas, different zones etc, they need to lower WP costs drastically. I have no problem going around the world and helping low levels do DE and going back to different zones etc but when it costs me nearly 3s per Waypoint its just not cost effective.
The recent nerfs to DE and other experience, karma and gear farming has gone too far..
1. If this is to counter bots, this is the worst idea ever. You should not make your legit customers / players suffer so you can battle bots. Honestly I’d rather be able to farm and play how I WANT than have you crack down on bots.
2. If this is to slow down people hitting cap or artificially create longevity to the game then also a terrible idea. People don’t like the Dev’s telling them when and how to play. Look at FFXIV, that game died because of many reasons but the MAIN concern was trying to tell people how much, when and how they could level up and gain XP.
People play MMO’s for the freedom and ability to play how they want. Sure some people that play way more will be higher level and have more gold etc, but so what that’s just how things work. If I go to work 60hrs a week I should come home with a bigger pay cheque than the guy that worked 20hrs.
Overall what I am saying is this system and these limits you are implementing are going to just cause frustration. People play this game with goals in mind to farm items and money and experience / karma. If they are playing and getting next to nothing what is there motivation to play? ArenaNet, you have a great game here that could do many amazing things for the MMO world but you really need to get your head out of yourkitten and see the big picture and stop trying to micromanage how people play otherwise you’re just going to have a community of angry frustrated players that end up quiting.
TL/DR – Stop trying to control how people play, stop trying to control the economy, and stop trying to keep hardcore players on equal ground as casuals.
P.S. Final Fantasy 14.. ya just think of that.
