If this was my first MMO i’d
1) Still be leveling a multitude of characters trying to figure the game out. I started MMO’s relatively late in life as I used to be one of those who had the attitude ‘pay to play.. never’.
2) Yes I would be impressed just as I was with my first. The number of zones, the vastness of the world kept me entertained for a long time, just like this one has done.

As I would have nothing to compare it to, being my first MMO how could you not be somewhat impressed with the whole massively multiplayer online??

In order to keep the world feeling alive and for DEs to function there needs to be a constant flow of people moving around. It’s not that bad actually, you might even consider it fun if you let go of the traditional way of MMO grinding.

I just hit 80 a bit ago.. and honestly the world and those areas feel quite dead to me.. The amount of mobs that one has to wade through to get to one resource is insane in some areas,a and the respawn rate is way to high.. So if that is what you mean by ‘feeling alive’ well then I guess you are right. But then in the lower levels if you are fighting something and someone else wants the same node you are going for they have tendency to help.. In the level 80 area, yah they just run by mine the node and go off running.. Quite annoying actually.. Or even better, they aggro something, run right through you and drop them off so you have to fight them instead of them.. Yeah that was a brain child by their developers that I get someone else’s aggro.

I’ve never minded a grind in an MMO, it gives me something to do when I don’t have a lot of time.. At least I can go out and knock off a few mobs and work towards that goal. There are some things though in this game that makes no sense at all.

My highest leveled character is a ranger.. But I haven’t had this issue on any of my characters (except for the below). If someone is downed I try to get to them to rez them. As long as the boss isn’t AOE’ing on top of them.
I’ve only ever gotten silver or bronze under a couple of conditions.
1) I end up at the event way late and it completes within seconds of my arrival.
2) The even is 3 or more levels above me.

Otherwise I’ve always gotten gold.

If you read reddit there is a whole long article about that exploit. ANet representatives basically come in and if people were banned and asked why, they told them. Cold and open. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. The whole sheepish ‘I didn’t do anything wrong’ was placed in the open for all to see. If it was a ‘chat’ issue etc.

Should go find it, quite humorous.

Honestly I’m not that techy as to what they should do.. But maybe they should talk to Bioware.. When they game first launched there were a few, but not like in this game. They are literally everywhere. I report and block everyone that I see, but it doesn’t seem to make any difference because there are to many people out there that don’t take their game account security seriously.

I’ve enjoyed WvWvW, but imo, you should keep PvE and PvP separate.

I haven’t tried it yet but look forward to doing so.. But I agree.. I like how things are separated in this this game.

This is people not realizing what something sells for and posting a price. Yesterday I was looking at listing a yellow item I had received as a random drop and couldn’t use.. on the TP there was a request for less than what just selling it to a vendor would bring me as profit, and the other items listed would come out to less than vendor value after the TP’s 15% cut.

I sold mine to the vendor.

Agent Xinn was there this morning after the update.

I wandered into stormbluff isle before I was of level following my character story and found the skill point event Defeat Agent Xinn. Now that I am at appropriate level she isn’t there in the cave.
