Raid reset also isn’t with daily reset. It’s at 0730 UTC on Monday. An easy visual is if you’re in a guild, look at the guild mission’s page. Where it says “resets in x days,” that’s the same time that Raid reset is.

Or, play Engi and use https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Toss_Elixir_R before you go down. The field will revive you as the cutscene plays. Then when the map resets, you’ll be alive and can do whatever.

Elementalist Mist Form works too, if you time the downed skill right so you’re still in Mist when the map resets.

They fixed them? I actually tried (and failed cuz I had waited too long) to get them refunded because they were so clunky. Glad they’re finally fixed.

If the instance owner’s current flags put them at Vale Guardian, they will always have to defeat them, even if you clear them in a past instance. The Vale Divisions (really nice name, btw. Haven’t heard them called that before) do not reward Magnetite Shards in a bonus reward chest for clearing them, meaning a flag is not set for them. They only clear when VG is cleared.

https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Magnetite_Shard Here is a good representation of all the flags I mentioned. Every acquisition of Shards is a flag. The first “Incomplete” flag that you run into on that list will be your instance should you act as owner.

EDIT: Hmm. Now that I think about it, I may be slightly off about one thing. The Spirit Woods as a whole have three different events that give Magnetite shards; however, I don’t believe I’ve tested if completing one of the three would actually put your instance at the second event. If it doesn’t, then the actual progress flags set are tied to Ley-Rift activation. The same chart and explanation I mentioned above can still be used; it’s just the Spirit Vale that has this one difference to take into account.

Another interaction with this is what spawns if you jump around with what you’ve killed.

Wing 1 as example, say you’ve killed Gorseval and no other bosses in W1. If you act as the instance owner, it will not place you past Gorseval’s checkpoint, because the game still sees that you haven’t killed Vale Guardian. It will instead spawn you into an instance where Vale Guardian is the first boss you’ll encounter, and Gorseval will still spawn in as well.

However, if you kill VG and complete the Spirit Run, then have everyone leave the instance and rejoin with you as the instance owner, Gorseval WILL be defeated and your checkpoint progress will be set to clearing the bandits before Sabetha.

Basically, every progression that awards Magnetite shards in the chest that appears above your minimap is a checkpoint for the instance. If completed, it sets the flag as “Complete” for every player in the squad. When figuring out what point the game should set the instance to if said person creates it, the game uses the first “Incomplete” flag that it comes across.

Visually
Vale Guardian: Complete
Spirit Run: Complete
Gorseval: Incomplete
Bandits: Complete
Sabetha: Complete

Having such an arrangement of flags will set your instance to be at Gorseval, because that was the first incomplete flag it ran into. Again, Sabetha will be alive in this particular instance, but if you kill Gorseval and leave, because the flags for Sabetha are set as Complete, you’ll enter a “The Spirit Vale is quiet.” completed instance.

As others have said as well, regarding your initial question, anyone in the squad can run into the gates and act as instance owner. Said person has to Load into the map to have their progression set for the instance, and faster loaders can steal the instance ownership. Always wait about 5 seconds before joining instances being created so that you don’t accidentally steal it and waste unnecessary time.

SAB Tribulation songs?

I couldn’t remember the name of the item to activate the songs! X3 That’s why I couldn’t find anything on the Wiki.

But, wow. Thanks for the explanation AND the links to them! They will definitely make the work hours go by!

SAB Tribulation songs?

So, the main thing I remember about running SAB Tribulation mode (other than how it completely RIP’d my Ranger’s Deaths counter) was the incredible alternate variation of the Zone songs when you used that special item that got put in your inventory. Those songs were very pumped up and got the same effect out of me in keeping strong through the chaos.

One thing always bothered me, though: I can’t find evidence of these songs ANYWHERE. The Wiki doesn’t mention them, they’re not on ANet’s Soundcloud (To the extent of my knowledge. I don’t know my way around Soundcloud that well), I can’t even find them on YouTube.

Is this intentional? Are they guest songs that ANet used with permission but others aren’t allowed to?

Got any AR in it? I believe they made it a thing where you can’t Mystic Forge/Salvage anything that had AR in it, cuz people lost their high amount +AR infusions.

Game Glitches when jumping out of water

This happened to me a couple days ago in Hrathi Hinterlands. Was jumping out of Apex Lake and the game glitched me out so heavily, I got teleported to what I assume to be the zero, zero coordinates of the Hrathi Hinterlands map zone. I was in a void of water under the map. Easily fixed by Waypointing away, and I fixed the jumping out of water glitching by restarting the client. Using x64

I’m pretty sure you don’t get Airship parts from events?

You get them from cracking open the cargo’s and Nuhoch hunting stashes as you said.

But why not? You get map currency from AB and TD events. Why is it that VB is the odd-one-out? It makes no sense.

TarkaTarquol.4856

I don’t believe that this is intended. Normally, you get the Magus Falls map currencies when doing events tied to the meta event. However, in VB, this is not the case. The only Airship Parts I’m getting are from opening Airship Cargo and replaying Champion Hero Points, along with Nuhoch Hunting Stashes.

Doing pylon events in Auric Basin and lane events in Tangled Depths return Lumps of Aurillium and Leyline Crystals respectively, so why is Verdant Brink excluded from this formula?

Yea, we tried killing all manner of attackable bulls (Yellow or red). Nothing has worked.

We tried that, and it didn’t work. For one, the wolf transformation is incredibly weak in combat. Second, every other creature thus far has been ambient (white name, dies in one hit no matter what), so I don’t see a reason they’d break the tradition for a single mob.

21/22 for Howl pt.1 and this is a slight annoying.

No, cuz the only cows that are ambient were in the old borderlands, plus we can’t even use the Wolf Totem in the WvW maps.

Trying to do the precursor step 1 for Howler, which requires you to turn into a wolf spirit with a totem and kill ambient creatures, but we can’t find the one needed for Bull Pelt.

I don’t even run some of the above. Skirmish/WS/BM Traits, Axe/Torch + SB Carrion Condition build. When I need to be just a slight tankier, I switch Skirmish to Marksman, weapons to LB/GS with Soldier’s. Drake and Canine pets consistent. And I do just kitten fine.

I can’t tell how many times my Ranger has saved a Dungeon run, because Barrier, my Reef Drake, is too dang good and tanky coupled with the Beastly Warden Grandmaster trait when it comes to distracting enemies while I go and rez the idiot who died.

I seriously do not get the hate towards certain classes. Each class has its own playstyle, as does every person. When you find what fits your playstyle, you excel far beyond those who are trying to play something that doesn’t click with their own style.
