I have the same 5k mac. So much crashing – Is there a fix?

Well I stopped the endless download and now waiting for some white knight to come forth with a fix!
The above mentioned “fix” doesn’t work on MAC if anyone was wondering…not for me anyway

Use the following command in Terminal (Utilities > Terminal) to access the streaming client on mac

/applications/guild\ wars\ 2.app/contents/MacOS/cider —use-dos-cwd C:Gw2 -- C:\\GW2\GW2.exe —StreamingClient

I just used the fix from this thread which solved my perpetual download problem:

174.35.71.9:80 was the one that worked for me in Scotland

Terminal command

/applications/guild\ wars\ 2.app/contents/MacOS/cider —use-dos-cwd C:Gw2 -- C:\\GW2\\GW2.exe -assetsrv 174.35.71.9:80

your not alone mate, i have one file remaining but am getting terrible DL speed like 30kbs when the rest of the patch downloaded at 3-5mb/sec – maybe something is up with the servers
