You guys at arena net should allow Norn elite skills to be able to use the persons utility skills also.
2nd suggestion is to change it so most of the skills/attacks dont root you in place.
3rd suggestion. have a button that allows you to revert back, i dont believe there is one but if i accidently use the form i want it to be on cd sooner than later and not have to use the full 30 seconds of it.
4th suggestion add a healing skill, the Hp boost from the norn forms isnt enough to keep you alive during extended periods of battle i find myself running away most of the time after doing a few autoattacks and sitting there for 20 seconds waiting for the norn form to revert back
Edit: Also fix norn form bugs for example
1. Interrupts stop the cast of the norn elite skill, this isnt the bug, its that it goes on the long CD instead of refreshing without delivering after the interrupt, its not really an elite skill if it can be stopped and put on cd
Also 5th suggestion. Make it so you can transform while moving, like all other elite skills, make these elite skills usable while in motion instead of stopping, it tends to sometimes make a difference.

So like…. the 3 major issues werent fixed yet…
1Longbows still suck, damage and projectile speed, short bow.. lol what a joke
2Pets who do half of a rangers damage, cannot hit moving targets
3Spirits… cannot survive in an instance without getting oneshot
but hey if i ever need to combo finish an enemy underwater ill be sure to thank you Anet, we rangers obviously havent mentioned the things we want fixing 1000 times that makes 1000000 times more sense

So we complain that bots are around Anet fixes that, now we complain we want them back? make up your minds.
-I personally am glad bots are gone, and prices should settle on what they should be, t6 mats should be a somewhat rarish drop, if you have the $ then yes u can buy yourself all the t6 mats u want for ur legendary, its a “legendary” meaning hard to obtain, i never got hard to obtain stuff… you know… by having bots do the work for me, i mean easy:>
this actually helps the market alot, people who need money can actually sell their used to be unvaluable t6 mats for a decent price, they can now buy consumables/armors/etc or things they needed, people with money will pay, and they will still make money thats why its the tp, 1 person sells other buys, you dont have to be that other, by you and i both know, its probably gonna be you thats gonna be that other.
Lastly, as i do agree with Anet that prices should you know go back to being balanced
due to bots not supplying t6 mats etc anymore, i also agree that prices will get really high! and gold farming just isnt… cutting it, Anet needs to provide a way for players to make some decent cash for the market to truly, balance out, without diminishing returns if some1 wants to work themselves to the bone to make alot of money let them? if some people need spare change or enough for cool items that cost 10g and they have 1g, why should they have to work for 2-3-4 days cuz of diminishin returns?
Now that the supply will be regular again, we also need a decent way to actually buy/sell things. 300g for a precursor, or 250g or 200g, how many days do u think itll take to get that much g? if people make like 8g a day, probably less… lets calculate based off a 5g per day
300/5=60 days, 2 whole months. for 1 part of a legendary, 10g per day 30 days? thats ridiculous, now lets calculate repairs, miscellaneous tp’s etc etc, its gonna take longer than a month, or 60 days, and prices continue to rise on these precursors.
250g/5=50 days 250g/10=25
200g(lowest precursor ive seen)/5=40 200g/10=20 straight DAYS of farming, uninterrupted farming
-Now Anet i know this is not the only way to get a precursor, but when you check out a 45 minute youtube video of some1 throwing in hundreds of rares into the mystic forge, to get 0 precursors, and wasting over 100-150g on it, its really the only way to go, cuz Gambling for something that should be gotten out of hard work is not an option.
-We need a way to earn gold, without playing for 30/60 days straight to get enough gold for 1 precursor. now calculate how much itll cost to get the rest of that legendary and how much time itll take then tell me we dont deserve a way to get the G without the DR
Im not saying legendaries should be easy, but should they be… impossible? prices rise but you cant keep up cuz farming gold doesnt yield more g/hour. not too much so that you can buy everything you wanted in a month, but not so low either, legendaries hey if u gotta take a couple months makin em fine, but you cant prices keep rising and nowadays you cant even keep up with the prices

Thats basically it, i went to lions arch to pay to reset my trait points, wanted to try out a new PvE build, then, bam a lvl 74 has 64 trait points after reset, obviously thats a glitch, especially after i did it twice to confirm it wasnt a bug.
Ummm so can we get a quick fix on this? im glad im missing 10 points and all… NOT
im kinda amazed gems arent worth more than 1g per 100, but thats just me.
Another thing it makes me wonder if Anet does put gems in the TP of their own accord i imagine they shouldnt/wouldnt but since theres always so many gems in it, and it doesnt ever run out (people have bills eventually the gems gotta run out… maybe) or the prices of gems never increase drastically makes me believe theres a huge supplier, supplying the thousands of thousands of players playing and buying the semi cheap gems. then again thats just me.
gems/gold go hand in hand with gold buyers/bots but thats an issue for another topic, just thought id throw my thoughts in here for the sake of being seen
Since i am a Ranger and a bow fan i do get disappointed, throwing the great swords next to the bows:< all the greatswords skills get cool effect, and the things leave a freaking awesome trail behind them, the dreamer has a rainbow effect, and kudzu footsteps:/ like comeon kudzu should have at least some nature looking effect, and the dreamer.. not unicorns, stars, awesome cool looking stars, that tends to be what u think when u try to visualize a dreamer right? bolt looks great, but i can say even…
Meteoroligicus is lacking on the effects, does it even do anything other than sit in ur hand and have planets on it? give these weapons some like.. awesome effects, bigger particle effects for bows or something? or a full body aura like bolt? just sayin alot of legendaries look like they be lackinxD Not that this is the #1 issue right now, class fixes should be #1 but this should be on the list
yay finally! even if its not next patch i know its being looked at and rangers are close to being.. useable againxD thats all that matters
I really do like Anet’s stance on things.
Colin, the way you guys give some information is great.
You dont want to promise “A” and give the community the unmentioned “B” or even give any details about “A” or “B” thats good, false hope always gets taken the wrong way and used against you.
Now in the form of patch notes, ive noticed from some other companies, not saying Anet is an awful one.
Riot for example – gives Detailed patch notes, with numbers, reasoning. It’s nice to know the dev thoughts and why the decisions are made, they also make a small little video explaining the thought process on why they made changes to “X”.
They dont Explain every change, just the noticeable ones that the community will mostly care about.
*****Key changes to major components of the game should be more explained. or at least a thought process could give some clarity and good reasoning why things were changed
Though riot does that, they are not the only ones who explain patches, and patch notes
HiRezStudios, with every new patch for their game tribes(only one i play of theirs) they give details as to whats in store, why things were added changed, they have detailed numbers in their patch notes and when there are MAJOR changes to certain things, they make sure to mention it in their short video introducing the new patch.
*I dont dislike the lack of information as far as before the updates, but when the notes are released, and there are major changes to key components of the game, with no1 willing to be the bad/good guy explaining the thought process of these changes its like.. man:/ Not saying you need to do video patches, but it seems to be a pretty good way to keep the community from.. raging for lack of info, because some agree with the changes some dont but at least theres. Clarity:>
So if all rangers send in support tickets saying our pets are broken, do we win and get them fixed? cuz i personally want my pet to deal damage, and tank.

-Warhorn – best thing ever, rangers do or die. what i dont get is why cant it work with a bow? its a horn, i put it on my waste tie it there or something when shooting around, and put the arrow away when i need the hand to blow the horn. Not that this is a #1 priority, just a suggestion.

-Swords – Dont get me started, after reading build after build after build, complaint after complaint, reasoning after reasoning ive come to realize…
Im a warrior, in sheeps clothing. I do the best, when i have 2 swords in my hand, im stronger than i ever was with a bow, im OP. Guardians LOL come at me bro i dont need a bow to win. cuz im a freaking warrior in disguise.
-Rangers shine best with a bo…sword in hands, and a pet to tank.
What im trying to say is. Why are rangers stronger when they use swords? i thought bows were supposed to be the choice of weapon, if i wanna go warrior and have better buffs/procs/signets/hp and use swords, i woulda chose that, i like bows though.(and no this doesnt mean nerf hunter swords, it means buff bows someway or another)
*balance weapons, take 1 stat away from a weapon, give it something in return. u know.. thats how u balance things o.o i could be wrong.
balancing… hmmm get a scale, get 8 rocks, same weights or close. put 4 on each side, now when you take away 1 rock. one side becomes superior to the other because you forgot to replace the rock. pretty much.. same concept…
3. Pets. their broken.
BAM. POW. PEW PEW PEW. KABLOOWIE, ok wait a second guys i broke my pet, stand still so it can hit you once… ok lets continue! BAM. POW….
Really? pets are like 1/2 of the rangers dps, and they cant hit moving targets unless their slowed/stunned? and their abilities.. actually take time to cast? and not even casted smartly either? Some1 get a GW2 pet pic, put a troll face on it and post it here, cuz u know, they be trollin. pets have great skills, good survibality and do half the dps of hunters, i love that:> i dont like that most of the time their useless, they tend to die alot…. correction, every big fight they tend to die alot. i mean if im gonna fight a boss, and half my dps is on the front line. I WANT IT TO LIVE:< so yeah.. case in point
*Fix pets so they can attack moving targets. f2 skills autocast or something? let them survive fights or give me my full dps on my ranger. or like 4/5 dps comes from ranger 1/5 pet?
When all is said and done. And the devs, dont respond to this, but choose to go give warriors or theives or guardians a response just know.. were at the bottom of the barrel, but if they do respond Whoopie!
A response i wish a dev. hopefully dev could give us is. “There are going to be changes, for the better, not stating what and we are testing this stuff out, but please be patient, because, we really love you guys for enjoying this class, and we by no means mean to discriminate” they wont give us details, and when the patch notes come they wont give us reasoning, but at least we got a response:D
So suggestions. fix those, you’ll see like 100% more build diversity
Not that i hate the game, i love its content, how it plays, everything, i love the class design, but the balances/nerfs arent really being balanced/properly adjusted/tested, but the fights are fun, the worlds are cool, etc.
Please have some constructive feedback:>! so we dont get this thread shutdown:< (I also read the constructive feedback dev post. so i tried to follow along those guidelines. +1 for good read!

Im not good at mountains of text, so ill keep it as cleaned up as possible.
(I realized its a wall of text after i hit preview.. and WOAHHHHHHH. ok carry on, no i didnt proof read)
I read forum posts, alot of forum posts i read feedback, i track the devs responses, community responses, i play the class ranger. So this is not my complaint, its a suggestion, to Anet, to the devs, who read the ranger forum and dont reply to anything useful, or anything that bears fruit. So with that said, here are things that need to be looked at, changed, whatever you dev’s call it that you do to actually get it you know… fixed?
1- Spirits! They offer well thought out buffs, and great actives, but when you actually use them for.. Stuff, like PvE or PVP or whatever, dungeons? etc. You find the utility skill has better choices, not because the buffs are wack. Because the Spirits offer 20% chance on their buffs, they have No hp, they die almost instantaniously after being called out to the front lines, Random monster aggro, that pet is dead in one hit, Aoe? dead in 1 hit, boss battle? stationary pet obviously dead, pvp? probably gonna get shot/stabbed/aoe’d so its dead, sure you can use the active, but u know, the range of the active is so small, smarties(not the candy) would run around it.
-Survivability needs fixing
-Range – the pets range is laughable, there is the trait to let it follow you around, but what use does it have for the team? group? ally? it will offer nothing if you have to run away from the mobs to actually keep its usefulness alive.
-Proc – Warrior OP – nuff said, Not really theres more to say, Banners 100% proc, good buffs, last longer, NEVER DIE (lets go warrior! never die!) but seriously though, which buff you want? ranger 20% buff? that probably lasts you 5 seconds in battle cuz itll die sometime soon, or warrior op flag? oh wait Spirits have actives! that u gotta lure whatever the thing is ur fighting into!
Change those 3 for spirits, some good proc, if not give it good range, and survivability, oh my god just survivability offers some more build options, should spirits even die? their spirits, flag can get broken in half! sticks and stones man.
2.Weapons choices
-Most builds combine warhorn with you know, a bow of sorts, and a sword, or maybe dual weild swords?
Lets be real, why do i gotta use a sword if im a ranger? i wanna shoot bows, lay down traps, use the enviroment, You know, be a ranger. Long bow, laughable at killing mobs, pretty decent damage, not OMG damage, but u know… its there. so lets get to it
-Long bow-not enough damage for how slow all of its skills are, I wouldnt know which has better DPS longbow or shortbow since i dont calculate it, over the duration of a few seconds maybe longbow, over the duration of a long battle, pvp, dungeons etc. shortbow.
*lacks damage, lacks speed
-Shortbow -BEST WEAPON EVER? AM I RIGHT GUYS OR AM I RIGHT?!?!
Sadly it used to be that was the case and yes im gonna say it, all of you are expecting it! dont tell me ur not after reading the word “Shortbow” its the animation glitch we all didnt have but told we did! that Didnt make the Shortbow… completely useless, but u know, now its like a good drop in dps. when i go around shooting things and notice their hp bar not dropping fast enough, and the thing is actually chopping my arm off, after ive wasted all my skills and endurance i realize that… MAN wtf happened to my bow? i thought i was a master at shooting these things. Im not, i mean were not.
Rangers shine the best when they shoot things from afar, but now its like, rangers cant really shine, Barely keepin our heads above the water soon to be drowning, once someone throws A net at us, were done for.
