I for one am glad that you gave us a fix. I obtained the Cultivated Vine and am a few time-gated steps from completing Mawdrey. Thank you for offering a fix in the first place.

While having unlocks for skins across all my characters is incredible and amazing there are a few things that make me question the decisions about townclothes. I feel like I could tolerate the changes of my costume sets being turned into outfits and not having the mix and match options with the rest of the armor skins. What is not cool is the individual pieces becoming un-dyeable tonics as well. (The hoodies, the laced shirts, the riding shorts, etc). They take up even more space and I’m not sure why those individual pieces couldn’t be converted into regular skins. The removal of them being able to be dyed removed a great portion of why I enjoyed having so many options. I’m very sad to see so much of the personality and life in the town clothes replaced with an unchangeable dull brown. They were designed for so much better, is there any hope of breathing life back in to those skins your creators worked so hard to make?

What I think would make the outfit mechanic more tolerable would be having the headpieces unlocked as general skins as well, such as having the fancy wintersday hat (beret for males) working with armor, but keeping the Wintersday outfit as a whole available as well. I don’t think asking for complete translation of the outfits into separate skin pieces is feasible. Many of the options we have been given have been headpieces, I would love to see that option available from the outfits’ headpieces.

I will deeply miss mixing and matching pieces together. While running around with bunny ears is amusing, I will miss being PunchBunny more. (gold and white Designer Hoodie, white Boxing Gloves, Bunny Ears, and gold Riding Shorts.)

I’m extremely grateful for so much of the work done on this mechanic. I love how easy it is to pick from skins I’ve unlocked and applying them. There are several deep factors that stopped me from loving this completely.

I love the Vistas because they allow you to not focus on your character in the center of the screen. Sometimes I want to get a good look at what other players have done with their characters, but it’s really difficult to do unless you can manage to get behind them juuust right.
Granted, your first person view could be radically different depending on your race! Being an Asura would get kinda annoying if you’re stuck looking at a lot of human groins. There’s probably reasons as for why they removed it, and I am fairly certain they’re working on it on the back-burner.

Account based dyes not character based

After becoming invested in more than one ‘main’ character and loving the visuals of them all, it makes me very sad to see an essentially empty dye pane, recalling all the colors obtained on the first play through the game. I understand how a dye market is a factor, but I also really feel account-wide dyes would in general feel better.
Dye drops are essentially still random, and the BLTP sets are still pulling from the same colors a cook can make. Players who unlock a color on one character will never need to buy it again, so wouldn’t it not really count as a ‘market’? Isn’t it more of just keeping our ‘other’ characters caught up at a premium? It doesn’t give us an advantage or set of skills, as was said it’s strictly vanity. Most vanity items seem to be account bound, even if it takes a bit of effort to move them around. Why not the same for dye?

Possibly pay gems for an account-wide option? Or have a section of the pane for dyes marked for account-wide.

Having a guild-wide color section could be nice too, so guild members could color-coordinate. Which colors would be shared would be limited to just a few, maybe at a higher cost? Something the Guild can research?
