Mesmers don’t run Arcane Thievery in WvW and the boon removal on Shatter trait isn’t used by the boonshare builds. Null Field is also never used. While Corrupt Boon may be the best method to “wreck permaboon” it is so far very from efficient, or even effective at fully countering. Especially fighting out-manned.

Title. We’re the Red server and we own the East Keep and shrines, but the Blue server was just able to use the jumps to get into the keep without taking down any walls or gates.

What about limiting various boons to specific maximum durations only in WvW? That way you could still share boons, but it would restrict prebuffing to a certain degree.

Yeah, that’s a solid option. I believe others have suggested that as well

@Chris.2390, It wasn’t a problem when everyone GvG’d two years ago because if you ran it no GvG guild would fight you. Considering there isn’t much of a scene anymore, the few who prefer winning over having fun, enjoyable fights and are wanting to run it can do so with little repercussions.

I was in the guild that first used quickness in a GvG v Hymn and when we saw what it did we stopped running it and the community shunned it. It then progressed so that there was no pre-buffing and all boons had to be obtained after the round started.

@Jerus I get that. ANET previously stated that their intentions are to balance the 3 game modes separately (sPvP, PvE and WvW). That’s what I also said in the OP. I know boon sharing is a part of both game modes, but quickness sharing the way it’s currently happening in WvW can’t be what they had in mind. PvE would be balanced separately (I’d hope).

Yeah, sorry @Heartpains. This wasn’t meant as a witch hunt for chronomancers. I just want how this boon is shared to be addressed!

Is ANET looking at this at all? With Chronomancers it’s possible to stack it up to ~50 seconds of quickness in a group of 25-30 and then share it to all in the group. I can deal with all the other boons, even resistance is annoying but not a huge deal, but Quickness just seems like way too strong of a boon to be able to stack that high of a duration. You can corrupt all you want but even Necro Corrupt Boon only rips 3 of the 11 boons on at any time. Is this going to be addressed in the “seperate balancing of all game modes?”

Quickness could be reverted to an “effect” (or whatever you want to consider Alacrity) so that it does not get shared by using skills that share boons. Quickness and Alacrity seem to be on another level of utility compared to Might, Fury, Swiftness, Regen, Aegis, Retal, Stability, Vigor and Protection, so the change would make sense.

Look at how one-sided the result of that strawpoll is. Just goes to show how ANET does not give one kitten about what the population wants. It’s really too bad.

I said exactly what I was expecting. I was expecting items that were from outside of the last 6-10 months. 3 of the skins i listed in the OP would outsell anything else that they had “returned” for the sale.

Trying to GvG tonight in the OS and it became unplayable not once, not twice but THREE times. Ping spikes -4k for every single person in the sanctum. Went to a BL after the first time, was fine. An hour later went back to the OS and no lag. 5 minutes after being there lag came back. It’s been happening since last night and I’m not sure if it’s because of too many clients or just a bug with the server from the update. If anyone is able to look into this it’d be greatly appreciated.

Pre-patch 10 allies were effected by the Warrior’s Warhorn skills, but now the tool tip says 5. I couldn’t find anywhere in the patch notes where it said this was being changed… so was this meant to happen? Any insight would be helpful, thanks for your time.

I have mained Necro since launch and Well of Power has always only given 1 second of stability. Like Zetsumei said, when the pulses occur conditions are converted into boons. It has never reapplied the stability.

All of these unannounced maintenances are really starting to urk a lot of people. Can it at least be announced so we know ahead of time?

I get same error message as Valeera except only when loading into any of the PvP maps. Originally it was just TotSS but also just happened with Legacy of the Foefire.

Yup, my guild ended raid just now, went to join our Guilds PvP server for some duels and same error message into subsequent crash. BibleThump

I recieved this error message when trying to load into Temple of the Silent Storm:

“Network Error. The inability to connect to Guild Wars 2 may be caused by Internet routing issues or a server network failure.
If the problem persists, please visit our support website.”

And then my game would crash, I tried re-logging 4 or 5 different times and every time I was able to load into HotM, but when trying to load TotSS the error message continued to pop up. Considering I can load into HotM just fine I’m assuming its something messed up server side? Any help please?

Literally unable to fight outmanned, as GvG and hardcore guilds pride themselves on doing. Just ONE thief running venom share that shares basilisk venom is gg. Nevermind all the cc’s from warriors, guardians, necros, eles. 20 man groups now stand ZERO chance against 40-50 man pug blobs. Am having the same problem. Can anyone confirm this IS a bug and is not working as intended? If that is the case, it is working as intended, that is a huge turn-off :l

The real thing to laugh at is to pretend YB is the only server that sieges up what they own. Everyone sieges their stuff up, and if you think YB is the worst then you’ve never fought JQ or TC.

I’ve been experiencing extreme skill lag in WvW for the past 4+ hours now and its not only me. Guildies and server-mates both having the problem across all borderland’s and EB too. Every skill that requires casting takes 1-2+ seconds to actually activate in game. Anyone else experiencing this too?

Like Jeknar said… if you don’t want to see the finisher of the person stomping you then it’s plain and simple: Kill. Them. First.

Daily reset is currently 8pm est, and tonight WvW reset will be at 9pm est. Although you won’t be able to get into WvW until around 9:10 or so.

With a few more melee and a thief or two we could be a top 10 guild. We already get good fights against top NA guilds despite not having what we want. Join us and see for yourselves!

As the title says, i’m a veteran of GW2 looking for an established guild. I’ve got over 3k hours into the game. 1000+ raiding on a necro, 200+ raiding on a mes and some limited raiding time on warrior. The most prominent guild i raided with was [RE] when they were on Kaineng, but when they transferred off i chose to stay and try and revive the server. After recently transferring to DB with a new guild a few months ago, our main raid driver has left us to join [ST] on Piken for Season 2. Considering i’m still on Dragonbrand it would be ideal to find another NA guild to raid with here, however if i need to transfer to join a guild i will. I love raiding and the last few weeks have been boring and raidless for me. Feel free to respond to me on here or send me an in game mail for more info. Cheers to you all.

We just got CD’s biggest wvw guild, so as far as free NA transfers, this is the place to be.

Idk how biggest wvw guild into that sentence , CD have guilds that would field 30+ still ..man lying to get transfers? Now thats just low

Unfortunately SBI will not be free this season. They are solid T4, maybe a T3 contender.

In all seriousness, the only reason SBI is still in T3 is because they, as well as DB, are leeching off of SoR. SBI is T4 at best, and only because they have pug zergs sent from the heavens on weekends, and have the population to blob up when need be.

3 weeks ago NSP, CD and HoD had a match up and the score was.

True but in that time HoD has gained Multiple guilds from CD while at the same time 2 smaller SEA guilds have transferred from HoD to CD. Don’t be surprised to see HoD in T2/T3 after leagues considering the coverage that they now have.

Word on the street is the notorious trolls from ET and Kaineng transferred to HoD today… Rootbeer Ruby and Ajaxx Blue. I hope for the sanity of you all this is not true. Ajaxx loves tagging up in EB and is notorious for calling all others “mouthbreathers”. You better hope they’re still on Kaineng >_< (Search on youtube: GW2 Greatest Player in the Game.)

Challenge for me, within reason of course. What i mean by that is if i were to transfer it’d be to a silver tier server that has a possibility of uprooting either DB or FA (whichever of the two ends up in Silver). Gold would be out of the question because of how stacked TC/BG/JQ are and Bronze is…. well, it’s Bronze tier.

Hello! Odds are if you’re reading this thread then you’re interested in finding a new guild. Please Consider [FEAR] Legion Of the Unseen on the Dragonbrand Server. We’re a hardcore WvW guild focused on Zerg busting but we aren’t afraid to contribute to the server’s PPT. Common knowledge amongst all NA servers is that Dragonbrand has a very strong SEA/OCX timezone. Also well known is the fact that DB has a weak NA timeslot. We are looking to help change that. We have finally gotten our core over from our previous home and we have opened up recruiting on Dragonbrand. We currently run 10-13 per night and are looking to grow. With your help we can return DB to T2 and above once again! Our drivers are experienced in both commanding and driving. I was lucky yesterday.. Got an ascended armor chest out of a WvW rank up chest. HOWEVER it was Magi stats QQ. Which doesn’t bode well for my Rabid Engi, or Sentinel War. Guess i’ll just drown myself in the Sea of Sorrows ;_;
