Hi guys, after a 2 years long pause I got back into the game and leveled my Guardian to 80.
I’m currently playing sPvP hotjoin to better get a hang of it and casually roaming WvW.
The two builds I’m using are both suggested here on the forum and are very similar, but I can’t really decide which one of them is the most effective for what I’m currently doing.
Can you help me?
Both builds are triple meditations DPS with GS and S/W and berserker stuff.

I think the first one is a bit less bursty but more grindy, while the second one is more explosive.
What would you suggest sticking to for hotjoin and wvw solo roaming?

Now I’ll ask for some advice. Currently I’m running GS+S/F with full zerk stuff.
On my weapons I have sigils of force and accuracy. I don’t plan to pve much from now but just wvw (and spvp), so what sigil should I cut from my weapons? The obvious choice seems force, but I want to be sure seeing as they are pretty expensive on the TP.
So, I keep hearing that Sigil of Rage on a GS is very good because of how it works with WW, but I have no idea what that is about.
Can someone please elaborate?

I’m completely new to WvW and I need some help. I’d like to unlock Trait II on the first line, and it seems I have to capture Infernos Needle. I went there, but I have no idea what needs to be done.

Hi guys, I’m pretty new to the Guardian class and to the game in general. Played it a while a couple of years ago, then started again recently.
For now, I hotjoin PvP (so that I get a hang on things) and solo PvE.

I seem to do decently with it, as it has high damage and pretty high sustainability, and it’s not hard to use. It’s my main build.

I think it’s more or less a classic bunker, it’s fun to play but I’d say it’s not ideal for hotjoin.

It’s pretty fun for soloing content. Is it also good for WvW or sPvP in your opinion, or should I stick with Meditations or Bunker?

Main rotation:
1) Start in air attunement, use 4 and 5.
2) Switch to fire, use 3, 4, Energy Wave, 5.
3) Go to water, heal up a bit, or go to air, run away like crazy.
It does very good damage while adding some survivability through runes/jewel and two utilities out of three. I went full power with some vitality and thoughness, but I can’t really understand if the extra survivability is really worth it, because while I rarely lose 1vs1s (my defeats are usually against pretty good warriors or guardians), it’s still very squishy, so sometimes I think about going full glass cannon with power, precision and critical damage. Testing against the dummy golems, I don’t see that much of a damage difference using Eagle of Mesmer runes and Berseker jewelry, and letting 10 traits in water and earth go to get +20 into air.
What do you guys think? Would it be worth it to go full glass cannon?
