8/10 - not a big fan of the color scheme but . I like the mix of Krytan and Ascended armor. Would be cool if instead of that skull you had a hawk on your shoulder instead.

WvW Season 1 is going to run for 7 weeks, or 49 days. This means we have to get one world rank every day for 7 weeks. The only people who will be able to attain this are regular WvWers, the same ones who are in dedicated WvW guilds. Please be a bit more reasonable with how much gameplay is required, 10 or 20 WXP ranks would be fine, 50 is overboard.

This is from the perspective of a casual WvW player, I have rank 30 on my Guardian and probably rank 50 or so across all my characters. I enjoy WvW a lot and it’s fun to strategize on voice chat (especially in small havoc teams) but I don’t know if I’m hardcore enough for this. ):

I am happy with it and hope they increase it even more. Would be a great way to thin out the glory achievement hunters doing nothing for their server . I hope they raise it to 100-200 WXP Ranks.

I would like to update you on the current issue with WvW.

We have identified what is causing the problem and are currently working to resolve it.

Once we will reactivate WvW, the matchups that started last Friday will continue with the correct score.

Please note that all objectives will be reset to their starting state, and all siege weapons that were deployed will be gone.

Last night, while leaving lowlands EB Keep, i was running along the wall and pressed “M” to pull up my map to see who owned SMC. To my surprised i saw a huge group of orange dots moving right next to me and i promptly closed my map and saw the enemy zerg next to Klovan, I thought this was a new feature but when I typed it out in map chat apparently no one believed me so this led me to believe it is a possible WvW bug. I searched through reddit and found that it has happened before and i found a few threads searching this entire forum on the location bug.

How would you feel if this was a feature that you could see enemy players as orange dots when you pull up the big map? Just like when you see a red arrow representing a downed player.

Example: (I don’t play on HoD btw, i just found this example which is exactly what i saw myself on my own server).

I really hate sounding like an kitten, but why is JQ still constantly begging other servers like SOR and BG to recruit for them? Maybe if JQ spent more time recruiting and less time begging, they would get a few needed transfers. I’m sure JQ had no complaints when they demolished everyone for 11+ weeks straight. I’m also pretty sure BG and SOR also do try and send guilds to JQ when guilds come to them interested in transferring to their server. But BG and SOR can only recommend guilds wanting to transfer to go to JQ instead.

I agree it sucks that JQ doesn’t have coverage, but that is not BG’s or SOR’s problem in reality. Plus with those leagues coming up, i’m sure a lot of guilds will want to transfer to T1 due to the rewards for winning their group and JQ will be getting transfers from the lower tiers as well.

Yeah, i’m sorry i sounded like a total kitten, but frankly JQ’s begging has gotten quite annoying.

Look at the recruitment section, we have 1 thread up by one of our medium to small guild JINX, at least i dont think they field that many. Not like the nine threads from SOR, and they complain about us stacking xp.

Yeah I found out how hard Liadri is and still trying. I don’t expect Anet to nerf her at all even with all sorts of players asking for it, because they will assume that players have beaten her and thus she is fine the way she is. However please do something about the horrible lag in Overflow. Over half my wipes was due to lag and I am sure i am not the only player who has experienced this. I also got a bug where another player was still in the dome with me, and a previous boss was inside as well.

People may not think lag for PvE is important, but when your surrounded by 3-4 visions of mortality with Liadri’s AOE hanging over you while you see an orb of light. Those 1-2 seconds make a hell of a difference when you are trying to get into that orb, or you die instantly. There have been a lot of bugs with the gauntlet and Anet should be addressing those issues.

I mean we should get a little more time when fighting Liadri as well, due to the increase in difficulty especially with her mechanics. I also agree that the camera angle is also bad, which doesn’t help with the floor being textured in such way that you may not always see the red circles from Liadri’s AOE.

I think you need more trebs BG.

I have never meet a guild more rude then yours. NO other guild have ever done any of the /emote spam and general rude behavior.

With leadership and posts like that why are you surprised that you get doubleteamed in every matchup during SEA. It’s kinda funny that we’re getting trolled for defending objectives against map cap blobs, stop blobbing as much and you might actually get people to want to fight on open field.
We play for the fights, but we don’t feel the need to get all of your coverage on on or two pins as SoR does. We’ve gotten used to fighting with far less numbers and if this means using ACs who cares - its a tool at your disposal. We play for the benefit of the guys who log in every day and its our responsibility to make sure our EU has a good handover vs proving how big your ego is.

BG calls IRON’s 20-25 man group and omniblob? Then please tell me what is this? Btw last night picture in the water with OnS. I didn’t get to capture the 30+ RISE that were always behind OnS as well.

In short BG has no right to complain about anyone omniblobbing. The fact is that BG now will force people to Omniblob to counter their massive zergs. I’m sure HB and friends, BT, RISE, and OnS have already gotten used to it.

SoR can easily push to win any time they want while the other 2 servers have to actually stay up really late and put in twice as much work to try to keep up.

At least we all can agree that when SoR wins 1st for 5 weeks in a row and then all of a sudden gets 3rd place, that means they’re trying to get a new guild in...

I read a lot of posts poking fun at SoR’s EU coverage (is it a matter of dispute that SoR has by far the best EU coverage now? lol). I don’t really see actual complaints.

I think everyone is finally seeing SoR for what they really are; a server that is only looking to become the next vizunah by constantly recruiting in time zones where they are already winning. Hope it was worth it.

LOL you think SoR is becoming the next Vizunah? Have you ever played on the EU servers? If SoR was becoming Vizunah then you will see SoR ticking at 650 ppt with at least a 100k lead over both JQ and BG.

They already had the strongest EU with IRON, that’s the reason they won for 6 out of 7 weeks. Now with the other huge EU guild they got there is no way that anyone can compete…

Too bad all the guilds that transferred to Blackhole have not had the same effect as IRON did when they went to SoR LOL. Black hole should stop worrying about their strong Oceanic/SEA coverage talking to two more Oceanic/SEA guilds and get EU. guilds.

I don’t mind the free bags and free wxp/badges/gold. Leveling alt’s has been so easy I’m loving it.

Pretty sure we don’t need /want to attract bandwagoners like another t1 server, so I don’t really see our "unpopularity" as a real concern.

In that case you should reel in your fellow server mates who are kittening about JQ’s coverage. So in the future we won’t be hearing from you about JQ’s lack of coverage especially during EU and NA?

If your forum warriors would stop spending so much time on the forums kittening, and instead actively improving and providing a community guilds would be more than happy to join, you guys would probably get more guilds coming over. There must be something kittening wrong with your server if all the guilds are constantly going to SOR or BG. JQ should ask itself why they are being passed over for SOR and BG.

Agent for Guild [X] is sent to JQ to scout and see if guild [x] should transfer over. Agent sees JQ being outnumbered 2 to 1 yet still being able to crunch the foes. Agent reports back that JQ is fine.

So maybe our curse of greatness is our bane. We have been in tier 1 for around 7 months now.

also, i’m not just talking about now. With ur new coverage we have 2 options: be outmanned or outnumbered like 2:3. A few times we can face equally in numbers with sor, and these r always good fights (even with sor making acs every 4 steps =[ ).

Just one thing else: i don mind fighting bigger zergs, what annoys me is the fact that sor cant accept that they already have excelente numbers in wvw and, because they lost in a week, they’ve made the “coverage” excuse to recruit more organized wvw dedicated guilds.

Are you from BG or JQ? JQ does has a valid reason to complain ^^, but if your from BG then you have no right to say anything. No matter what be it 5 guild members or 50+ guild members the fact is that BG has gotten more transfers in the last month than SOR.

- SoR Only runs as a single massive mega zerg to lag everybody to hell

When you can not use skills a mile from the fight the issue becomes a Anet one. Winning by lagging everybody to hell is probably a strategy but it is a lame one at best if I may say so. I get 1 fps when the SoR zergotron comes in. No way to act, no way to escape no means to defend oneself, can t play... simply free bags loots for them.

oh and this is not a rant towards SoR as this is a legitimate strat...my problem is with Anet and it is sad because my favorite fights are the large ones with SoR on one side of the keep and JQQ on the other but at that point you can t use any skills whatsoever because the server is lagged to hell which makes defending almost impossible.

Obviously this poster wasn’t at our little party last night on JQBL in SOR’s Bay if they wanted to see real lag. When the GvG between Choo and Agg had to be cut short due to BG attacking Bay and JQ swiping a tower then coming back to bay where Agg graciously decided to make their entrance. And SOR facing off against both BG and JQ zergs on the map even with BG making catapults and arrow carts on the walls.

Btw EB is pug central so either get used to it or go to a BL.

It is not needed imo. No matter what dedicated WvW guilds will have scouts that locate and inform the commander of the enemy positions. I’d rather have Anet fix stuff on WvW than add some new tags, because 40g right now isn’t that much and you would probably see an influx of those tags with people buying them left and right, and possibly making the situation even more confusing with everyone trying to talk over each other. If you are on a map like Eternal Battlegrounds and see 3-4 commander tags all at the same time, find the commander you like/familiar with or that you guild is following and join his squad. All the other tags will disappear allowing you to follow that commander without worrying about following the wrong one.

My POV is that WvW you don’t have to, but you should be on your servers communications like Team Speak 3, Ventrilo, Mumble,etc.. because on the higher tiers especially Tiers 1-2, when on a VOIP you can relay information faster than taking the time to type it, and with the upper tiers so volatile and unpredictable where every second counts and means the difference between holding an objective or losing it for the tick, being on something like Team Speak can save your server from losing say SM or a Keep or also inform your commander that he is walking into an ambush or needs to defend an important supply camp if you are supply starved.

Overall if the server has decent communication it is not needed from my POV.

This is usually what happens when you attack a grub just for the sake of it without any regard to the status of your situation in enemy territory if you are (green or red color)

1) Commander and zerg/militia just capped a tower (lets say Bravost, next to blue spawn)
2) Grub is roaming around outsides blue’s keep ruins.
3) Pugs/militia decide to go an kill the grub for WxP and badges
4) Everyone is busy killing the grub and pretty much get tunnel vision
5) Commander usually realizes the enemy is capping your towers, sentries, and supply camps, while everyone is busy hacking away at the grub, wasting valuable time that could be used to defend objectives.
6) Pugs/militia dont realize they have just been scouted by an enemy, who then tells his server that the enemy are outside their keep busy fighting the grub.
7) Enemy zerg ambushes the group fighting grub and pugs dont realize until 10 secs later that they have just been wiped by an enemy they did not expect or see coming because they were too focused on the grub.
8) Commander and his zerg/militia dies and gives the enemy server WxP, lootbags, and possibly the grub itself.
9) If the zerg was pretty big and got wiped, the enemy now has some time to cap your supply camps and start putting the screws on your server since you guys are taking time to respawn, resupply, and repair armor.
10) Commander gets angry and pugs/militia wonder why they all died. The all hell breaks loose with people fighting/accusing each other of being dumb, annoying,etc.. and the atmosphere goes to kitten.

If your server is ahead and you are sure your position is secure then i don’t see why you shouldn’t get the grub. But a lot of pugs/militia fail to realize that the amount of time it takes to kill the grubs you can get 5x the badges and WxP from following a good commander and capping towers/objectives.

Oh good you finally killed the grub, and got your 3 badges, all the while your group was wiped and the enemy has your entire side of the map capped with your enemy zerg probably laughing at how easy it was to kill your group not paying attention and probably got more WxP and lootbags/badges than you got from the grub. Was it worth it?
