Name: Telephon Gearclaw
Race: Charr
Profession Scrapper
Legion: Iron Legion
Background: Telephon was born as the runt in his litter, but thanks to mentorship from Rytlock Brimstone himself, he was able to overcome that status and became the most intelligent student in his fahrar. After losing almot his warband to the ascalonians, Telephon lived his life working in the scrap yards along with the only other member of his warband left, Dinky. While working at the scrap yards, Telephon would often meddle with the scrap and build whatever was on his mind with them. It wasn’t until he became Commander of the Pact that he expanded on that aspect. When the pact crashed into the Maguuma Jungle, Telephon used the parts of some airships and was among the first to discover how to create Gyros. He is now considered an innovative genius among the Pact, and many hope to follow in his footsteps.
I have to say, I really enjoyed the HoT story. Very well done, ANet!
This got me wondering, what part of the story was your favorite?
Personally, I enjoyed the part in Hearts and Minds when Tybalt shows up in The Dream and he fights alongside you! (
Asura use magitech which is basically just magical elements infused into technology. Most of their technology is powered by magic-infused powerstones, so they’re not really “engineers”.
Charr on the other hand use actual engineering since they prefer machines to magic.
When I first started playing GW2 and made my very first engie, I remember that if you had the Universal Multitool Pack on, it would change appearance based on what kit you were using. Now it doesn’t do that. Anyone know what happened?
So I was doing the Verdant Brink event in which you have to bomb the Wyvern and I thought, “How cool would it be if engies could use their bomb kits while gliding to drop bombs below?”.
Yes, I am aware we will most likely never see this happen, but I thought it would be a nice little thought.
What do you guys think?
So why doesn’t Zhaitan exist in the Mists like every other dead person?
With a name like “Mordrem Wolf Finisher”, surely you’d expect there to be a mordrem wolf involved, right? Wrong. The Mordrem wolf finisher is exactly the same as the normal wolf rank finisher, except there are vines around the banner, and the wolves are green.
Anyone else bothered by this?
Then this doesn’t add up. The natural purpose of the Elder Dragons is to balance out the amount of magic is in the world, making sure there isn’t a surplus. If you take one of them down, wouldn’t that cause problems in the future?
It’s strange too. In the Charr storyline, when you find your father, he stays in Hero’s Canton. I don’t know why humans don’t get the same treatment with their sisters.
Zhaitan isn’t dead. He’s weakened.
In the personal story, you never see him “die”, he just falls. His minions are still present in various areas across Tyria, and everything still seems to be the same in Orr, despite his " death".
He’s not really dead, he’s just hiding and regaining his strength to once again rise up and do the same thing again. It would’ve been a good idea to go down and check if Zhaitan was actually dead rather than to assume it, silly pact commander.
