As a crafter, this thread made me so happy!
Since we already have slots for Ingots (metal), Bolts (cloth) and Squares (leather), all of which are crafted materials used as the base for most recipes, what about adding the most basic and commonly used cooking ingredients:
Ball of Dough (36 recipes)
Ball of Cookie Dough (15 recipes)
Pile of Salt and Pepper (26 recipes)
Baker’s Wet Ingredients (23 recipes)
Baker’s Dry Ingredients (25 recipes)
Cream Soup Base (15 recipes)
Loaf of Bread (only 12 recipes but it’s soulbound)
… and possibly also:
Roux – because it’s the base for a lot of sauces (and that cream soup base).
White Frosting – because it seems to be a base ingredient for most of the frosted cake recipes?
Ice Cream Base – ditto for ice cream recipes.
(Also +1 to those who suggested a tonic wardrobe tab. I would collect the baby-cats out of those things if I had someplace convenient to keep them.)
Thanks, all. It hadn’t occurred to me that if the API allowed such an ability in the first place it’d probably be near-impossible to put in anti-botting safeguards. Guess watchlists are the closest we’re gonna get, then.
Maybe not what you had in mind, but my project while waiting for the event was to use new dyes and my existing armor skins to bling out my characters in Halloween colors. (Never did find a properly garish orange, ah well.)
If you don’t like the current offerings, what about making a personal goal to create a “Halloween” getup that uses only non-seasonal skins? Skulls, flames, a creepy-looking animal mini … you get the idea. TP prices are probably a bit deflated as people scramble to buy candy cobs, so it might be a good time to go shopping for other stuff.
Or do something silly like wander around the level 1-15 maps and give out cinnamon apples and leather bags to random newbies. Not that I’ve EVER done such a thing myself … c_c
Is there any 3rd party tool (webpage, phone app, etc) that let you place buy orders on the Trading Post without loading up the full game? It would be very useful on a slow internet connection, for example, or to check in during a work break.
(I’m not a programmer but I found a old thread that seems to suggest the API allows for this … although it might have changed since then?)
Thanks!
If they release new stuff you can get with candy corn, its price will likely go up. If they don’t, then its price will plateau once halloween starts (read: market starts getting flooded) and then go down until the end / after the halloween events.
gw2shines has some great data on how item prices change over time. Let’s see if the forum will let me post a link:

Last year candy corn did just what Cyn said: started going up before the event, peaked about 2-3 days after the release and then went down again. (After the event ended it started gradually increasing again, and it’s been mostly going up ever since.)
We don’t know if this year will be different, but if I were selling my stash (which I’m not), I’d wait until the weekend at least.

It’s case sensitive (I got the same error). Try this instead:
/Applications/Guild\ Wars\ 2.app/Contents/MacOS/cider —use-dos-cwd C:Gw2 -- C:\\GW2\\GW2.exe -repair
