Getting the same problem as other people with 100% Tyria Map completion before HoT, haven’t received any rewards for map completion of any of the new areas on my Guardian (and I’ve completed all 4).

Because if everyone is the same model, you run into the problem that you can’t tell which one is you.

There’s an NPC near the spawn point in the Mists that you can talk to that will send you back to that training area if you wish.

One thing to keep in mind though is that the Melandru temple set only has 4 pieces of power/toughness/vit armors. If you want to get that stat spread on a helmet and boots, you’d have to get them from either the Sorrow’s Embrace explorable set or the Honor of the Waves explorable set.
