I joined Gunnar’s just after it went down to t8 and i don’t regret my decision at all. Been there ever since, watched the server work hard to get where it is now. Not by superior numbers, not by superior coverage (god knows we lack there xD) But by a diehard and friendly wvw comunity. We had a lot of great ppl and guilds join our server and help shape it in to what it is today. GH might still be a lot smaller population wise compared to the other servers in our league but imo it has a big heart. I don’t know what happened b4 i joined and i dont know what the future holds for Gunnar’s but i will be proud to continue calling it home.

That said Gunnar’s isn’t a PPT server, 80% of us plays for fights and for fun, unles you are on our border, all bets are off in that case :P

Q’s are small or none, apart from EB in prime time where you will have to wait 5-10 min. Even on first day of the leagues it took me 10 or less min to get bact to the action after a dc.

Guild focused prime time, dont expect to see a comander blob runing around in borders during prime time, most of our militia are on our border sieging/upgrading defending or runing with a comander on EB so if you are a lone player that doesent like roaming/ defending home border you won’t have much fun outside of EB imo.

I dare to say we have a realy good militia as it is mostly made up of wvw players that are curently not raiding.

We have a hard time in late night and morning hours due to having low numbers at those times, ppl are at work/ school or at sleep naturaly, and Gunnar’s never was much about pulling all nighters to try and catch up, as stated most of the ppl here play for fun and for fights, one of the reasons the server didnt try to get more ppl in b4 the seasons as we didnt want to go Gold and fight blobs and face far superior coverage all the time, then came Gandwagon(im sry Gandara i love the fights with you guys but i had to use it xD) wich was a product of a bad decision from Anet but i stil belive we are at a better place for doing so.

These were my honest thoughts about Gunnar’s, so if you are a player or a Guild that liked what you read and are in search for a new home, consider Gunnar’s, or just say hi on our forum and have a chat with us

Vizunah never won a matchup in the open field fights from my experience :P
But they are, or were, since i heard the Great Cross Aliance fell apart(hopefuly not true) an amazingly organized server. If they wanted a waypoint in your keep they would get it, simple as that, even if its 20 ppl escorting one dolly from a single camp. Try to take that camp from them, even multipe ones at the same time well here is another 20 ppl to defend each camp xD They do have huge blobs, adn love their siege warfare as a lot of other servers and may not be the best i had the chance to face in open field but i will give credit where credit is due. During S1 they were a well oiled war machine. Was nice just to watch them xD

I think on GH the situation was something like:

EB:80
GHBL:40
AMBL:20
AGBL:20

i got dced 1 hour in the prime time and got back in the border 10 min later xD

Anyway i think ppl are oversetimating GH’s performance, yea the pugs are good and we have a lot of hardcore wvwers, but in general we are much lower in population than any of the servers we are facing. Posibly if the rest of the servers PvE population starts to slack then GH will pick back up the pace and be able to compete with the big stacked kids. Otherwise we cant compete because we dont have the ability to pull those numbers constantly from PvE. Anyway there is going to be some epic fights in this tournament with all the great guilds in silver Well if they manage to pass the Q’s that is xD

Anyway, Gunnar’s is at a nice spot atm in ranking, gonna have some epic fights ahead of us, but due to the fact that we won’t be pulling insane numbers from PvE during the whole duration of the league like some servers (being mostly a wvw focused server) we feel that an extra Guild raid would help us out Even more so if you are an offpeak player or guild that would like to leave their mark on EU silver league and help us batle the hordes of upcoming players during the nights. We are a very guild based, fight focused server that went trough a lot to get where it is today thanks to the hard work of the comunity and the lovely ppl that joined said comunity <3 Become a Gunnar today

From what i know there isn’t a specific Italian WvW focused guild on Gunnar’s but i do know a few Italian players on our server most of them who spend the majority of their respective time in WvW, there is however the guild hihey mentioned, you might want to have a chat with them, maybe see if they know more than us although i belive they are PvE focused. And @aiyub i just counted 16 Italian flags on ts while writing this post :P I would personaly like it if you joined us and formed a guild here Ofc if you find it to your liking. I recomend guesting over and try to get in contact with the mentioned guild, because maybe not all the Italian ppl are in that one guild, like it was the case for my country wich is a minority on Gunnar’s

Speaking for TEO, I can say most of its members are still on GH and joined other guilds. CC in particular will soon be formally introduced on GH community site, once we got our stuff sorted ;]

Anyway, Gunnar’s is at a great spot atm, imo our big rank gain happened during the holidays due to extra numbers offpeak, wich shows what this server can do with some extra numbers in that time slot We did “lose” 3 raiding guilds but most of the players are still on Gunnar’s but just in other guilds(god knows it’s not hard to find a wvw guild here xD) i think we have no need for more prime time guilds atm one could say we are full in that time slot but offpeak, NA and Oceanic Guilds and Comanders are always welcome, and once you get known on the server and the pugs start trusing you you will love the fact that you are leading a PUG zerg made mostly out of players from wvw guilds xD $_$

well given that we have outmanded on 3/4 maps most of the time this was expected, i had lots of fun this matchup, you guys have some realy decent roamers, even abaddons wich was suprising since i dont usualy see them outside a blob grats on the first place FSP, and ty for the good fights AM cya soon and good luck

Depends on what time zone you play in, Gunnar’s has an awesome comunity, and no ques(someting we would like to keep :P) But yea forming a guild here will be hard cuz most of the players we have in wvw are already in wvw guilds or roamers. If you plan on joining a wvw guild however you can guest to Gh and ask for some guild representatives and see if they are recruiting, if you do so i’m sure you wont be mistaken cuz the guilds on Gunnar’s have some of the nicest people i have met.

Those guilds don’t need an even fight they just need to have odds more like 2:1 instead of 4:1 Stay proud of droping to this league so you can feel strong, anyway my friend, im done here i see you have too much experience on this level of argument.

Same could be said to you: you take so much pride in going around with 15-30 people that it is unacceptable to you to group up with another guild and try to work together to actually accomplish something.
If you really think that a single GH is worth 2 AMs, then why don’t “renown guilds” group up and try to face us head on? It would be more fun both to you and to us. But no, you can’t join other guilds, because it would be shameful.

The only time I saw this kind of behavious was when WBC and TEO grouped up and ACTUALLY put up a nice fight against us.
Where is FURY? Where is Rage? Where is Inc? Where is FG? Too busy licking their wounds from the previous matchup?

when and if that happens you don’t “get a decent fight”, you wipe, and don’t try to provoke those guilds, they stayed out of this argument, they take pride in their skill and organisation amongst themselves, i saw countles times guild’s staying at far away and letting outer guilds fight if it was an even match, people on gunnar’s hold love fights, you like blobs and karma trains, end of story.

yes, how dare you noobs try to duel ppl or have a fair fight, shame on you!!! GW2 isnt meant to be played that way, we must all form blobs and search for the poor guys killing a sentry or trying to flip a camp
