Josh Foreman blog is more credible
Not really. That blog was over two years ago. I’m sure Gaile’s extremely recent comments on the matter are FAR more credible given the fact that she’s likely the one person with the position to know whether or not she’s speaking a “company line.” I’m also fairly sure she’s not some trained monkey willing to toss out supposedly false information that seems like you’re developing a conspiracy theory for.
And you wonder why the devs dont always post on the forums? Probably because people jump on them for the inconsistency of their posts. Which, surprisingly, they dont realize is their OWN fault because they’re jumping on the devs for everything but what they’re trying to post. Usually.
Or did you think this was what goes on at Anet?
Gale claims there isn’t anything preventing the Dev’s to post here and they post on Reddit instead still. Despite over 3 years Anet saying they will work on improving communication with community that still hasn’t happened to date.
It doesn’t matter how long ago the blog post was made as it still relevant since the Dev’s still don’t post here like in the manner the community wants them too. It’s clear a company policy is in place that prevents them from communication on a open basis as the blog post says. Nothing do with conspiracy theory in any way at all, it wouldn’t be a first time in history for a company put a PR spin or misinformation out for what ever reason.
Also people take what they say with grain of salt since the lead up to GW2 Anet said tons of things of how GW2 will be like then on official release it was quite different.
When the Dev’s do post here I rarely see people jumping on them I see more of posters thanking them and telling them to post here more.

I have to shut up. It’s really hard for me to collect the valuable feedback offered on forums without response or questioning. Especially when it’s evident that the community likes it so much. Oh well. If the company that pays my paycheck and lets me work on my own crazy pet projects like SAB tells me to resist a difficult urge to interact with players because I’m jeopardizing the company so be it. I’m told I can still post, but much much less, and I need to get my posts approved first. So it’s not really a total shut-up. But I know I’d have to come off as a different person if I go through this procedure, which pretty effectively kills the urge.

Read all of his post not just the part I posted here, He got reprimanded for posting here and even took in house company forum posting course 2x in order to post on official forums.
Josh Foreman blog is more credible as the action speaks louder than words and that has back up his post. Gale’s post is complete opposite of course to tote the company line on the forums. Dev’s still don’t post here like how the community wants them to or how Josh Foreman did before being told to stop. But they have no problems posting tons more on Reddit then here since they don’t have to get the okay to post on Reddit, so believe what you want!!

Don’t hold your breath the jerks keeps saying we will improve our communication with the community then nothing happens. The forum is just a big joke of a PR front and for moderators to abuse forum powers with heavy handed tactics with their hypocrisy. Making up rules on the fly to hand out infractions, insult you with false accusations in infractions PM, then ignore your infraction appeals.
also a cash grab to get players to spend real money too unlock all the blocks
3 person guild with lvl 20 guild hall here, also nothing like paying for something twice+ to just get back what we already unlocked in core game regardless size of guild. huge fail by the dev’s
