Negative. I have seen red tags from behind a hill! Its rediculous! Hide myself better? I was behind a tree four times thicker than the characters body width. The guy saw my tag from an obscenely long distance.

You dont “need” the tag to determine enemy from friend. Find some other targeting option…click on each person to determine, target some other way. There is absolutely no need for the server/guild tag. It serves no purpose.

So, your a ranger traveling through hostile enemy territory. Your target happens to be enemy shipping supplies unprotected on the open roads. You choose a great hiding spot within a short running distance of their supply depot and the road you plan to ambush the unsuspecting supply train. You think to yourself, “I am wearing dark clothing, it is night time, no one will notice me behind this tree and up on this hillside.”. Suddenly, an enemy is seen running in the distance. He stops and faces your direction and then makes a dart towards you! ….you are dead.

Now, this isnt a topic about PvP skills or class vs class or anything like that. It is simply the idea that in world vs world, we shouldnt have to rely upon the use of overly large, RED text floating above a players head to determine if they are an enemy. It should be based on sight. If you see someone and can target them, then you should be able to determine if they are the enemy. If you dont see me…well, thats your own fault.

ANET, please, for the sake of those that love to be sneaky like this, please, take away the names above character’s heads!

Its actually much faster than that now probably within 5 min or less. I barely started a fight, froze and got kicked to the character select screen. There is no way this is a firewall port issue. If it were, it would be happening in other zones as well.

I can reproduce this issue on the fly. I have gone to several different zones and not experience this issue. It seems to only be affecting me when I go to Queensdale. If I go there, in less than 5 to 10 min, I am kicked to the character select screen with that error code.

I just posted this on another thread. This has been happening for me about every 10 min since the Sep 18th patch. Before that, I was completely fine.

Since the Sep 18th patch, I have been getting booted to the character select screen about every 10 min. I have not seen an official post about this and I know there have been numerous complaints in game about it. Up until this patch, I have not experienced any connectivity issues. I have attached a screenshot detailing the error I receive. As of now, the game is mostly unplayable due to this issue. Please resolve ASAP!

Update: I have noticed that this seems to be related to being in the Queensdale area. I have logged on a different character in a different zone and do not experience any issues.

Whatever the issue is, it seems to be related to being in the Queensdale zone. I logged on a different character in a different zone, left it for about an hour and no issues.

I know this topic has probably been overwritten about already. But, I am going to get my opinion out there regardless. I can appreciate the fact ArenaNet wants a balanced economy. So, I can understand an attempt at changing the reward for dungeons being run multiple times. However, I do not agree with the increase in time for “the kite room”. One shots and kiting mobs all over the place for two min just amounts to a waste in repair bills espeically if dungeon rewards are decreased. The room itself is rediculously overpowered even for a good party. It already takes a terribly long time to come up with the amount of tokens necessary for the armor. By then, its just not worth the effort. An encounter should have a decent chance of achievablity instead of an enless string of death and loss of profits. The drops arent even good. Dungeons are a great concept but are in serious need of examination.
