I’m pretty sure that ANet mentioned Player’s House located in every Major City!
It will be instanced for everybody and will change according to player’s achievements and progress in story…
Or something like that – they mentioned it long before game’s release, but couldn’t implement it coz deadline…
I hope that we get more freedom than that, though. If it is based off of achievements and story progress, I feel that it would be a bit limited.
I have been thinking about this for some time and i believe our home instances could work perfectly with some minor adjustments (like crafting stations etc.) It could also be used as a gold/karma sink, adding an upgradable side to it^^ furniture (resurch equip for asuras), wallpaper… and maybe a “pet house” for our minis?
I would like more of a customizable experience for player houses (or at least the option for it). Almost like you are the architect and you get full creative freedom as long as you have the gold, materials, and karma.
I am curious about the wallpaper idea. What do you mean by that?
Just did a search and found a similar thread. I’d really like for them to make this more well-known to the players instead of some comment on a thread. Still, this makes me pretty happy to see this:

Note: Only serious comments please.
What do you guys think about player-owned or guild-owned houses? In lack of guild halls, it seems like this would be a really cool solution that could also function as a significant material and gold sink. Certain rooms can be utilized for crafting stations (ex. Kitchen = chef station) while other rooms can be utilized for various guild activities, historical documentation (ex. living world lore; guild or player stats; armor & weapon set display).
Just a few ideas, I know that there could be potential for so much more but this might spark some cool thoughts on the subject.
EDIT: This has turned into a suggestion area for the potential of player-owned house and guild hall features. I am now aware that ArenaNet is looking into this.

^ LOL I didn’t notice the second part. It really is subtle. xD
What is up with all of the rude people? Living Story is really nice. I enjoy it for the story and surprises that come with it. People begging for expansions should really calm down.
I trust ArenaNet and I would like to see where this is going. – don’t ruin this, please. They have spent far too much time on this game for people to just go around calling it undeserving names.

I want to say that the usual release is like 3pm EST? Idk, I could be wrong.
P.S. I cannot sleep either :/
Achievements from World 1 Open Again?

The original SAB achievement list will return, along with a new, separate achievement list for world 2.
There may even be a new special surprise for folks who finished the original list of achievements (which will also be available for folks who finish the original list while it is available)…
I can’t +1 hard enough!
Got it, well that is not too bad of a change.
I was just thinking about this the other day. The reward for success should be far greater than failure.
I did appreciate the “Die die die die die…” from Scarlet, though. ;D
I think (hope) that the Magic Find stat will be replaced. At least, that is how all of the other Magic Find items are supposed to be. You will be able to double-click them once the change happens to replace the stat or something.
Oddly enough, this isn’t new, UO started doing it a few years into it’s run. I always felt it was the beginning of the end for UO, that and luck suits… hehehe (i.e. MF gear). Champs even dropped skill scrolls lol
yyyup… was the beginning of the end..
Yeah, and it is not like it is a bad concept. Players collectively choose how to utilize content. :/
Spiderman got angry, I suppose. Haha!
You can’t see minimum 100 players in any Karka Queen preevent. If some guild tries to do it, freeloaders rush to kill Karka Queen only =) Same as Grenth. Freeloaders zerg come only to “5 minute defending” event.
Edit: I know because I do it too =d
No one goes to Southsun really, so I don’t think it matters too much. I usually have people at Grenth too.
Well, here is my thing. Everyone could be happy but they fail to think about the problems rationally. I am referring to the main two problems as of late.
1. Invasions: Scarlet vs. ‘Farming’
To fix this problem, the people who want to take out Scarlet simply help the farmers clear their secondary camps (Aetherblades & Molten Alliance) until they run out. The camps do run out really quick when the entire map is working for them. Then the focus is on the minions. We have done this many times on my server and this resulted in defeating Scarlet mostly every time.
2. Champion Loops
This fix is short (although I could rant about it) but not many players that I have come across seem to come to the conclusion. Everyone who wants to farm champions should farm high level events in large groups. Why? Because events scale to include multiple champions per event that way. This is what the ladies & gentlemen at ArenaNet had in mind when they implemented champion loot. They wanted to make champions that appeared during events more rewarding and less of a nuisance.
I never really cared for it; 50% boost was enough for me. Exploits do not make me feel good about myself, so I do not participate in them.
Honestly, I do not see an issue with this. Every world boss that I go to has a minimum of 100 players at it. Then again…I suppose different servers are less populated. Well, put that guesting to use, i suppose. Unless the LFG allows easy cross-server raiding.
I’d also like to add, why would Ruin need to spy at this point in time? Eredon Terrace owns everything on the map. Not only that, you get sword symbols on the map that show you were action is currently at.
Do you also believe that Eredon Terrace is only doing this? I’m 100% sure that people on HoD, SB, and JQ do this. The thing that is different, it seems like Ruin could care less about their public reputation where as the other major guilds do care about their public reputation and refuse to admit that they also do this kind of stuff.
However, you might want to eliminate JQ from the blame here. I am currently on JQ and, even though HoD and SBI are teaming up on us, we still choose to fight them and hold our own. They do seem to be doing all sorts of dirty tactics and, if you notice, SBI is learning HoD’s tricks because HoD chooses not to attack them as much as they attack JQ.
Change the Commander Book to have more features!
For the price of 100g it should have more interactivity. The main thing being that everyone in a squad should be able to tell who is in the squad and who is not. I would also request that the symbol not be able to be seen on the enemy team. Right now, if a commander runs out anywhere in WvW, he/she will get focused down extremely fast. This is not a fun experience for the user and, as it stands right now, it is a complete waste of money only to be focused down.
