One of the features of Guild Wars 2 (and Guild Wars also) is the limited amount of skills you can use in a fight. I like the concept of having to choose between skills and try to make a ‘perfect’ build.
But i feel the weapon skill system doesn’t really fit into this concept. Why give us only 5 predefined skills (depending on the weapon(s) you use)? Wouldn’t it be nice if we could:
- Unlock additional weapon skills over time
- Swap these skills around on our hotbar
This system would make our characters more unique and should make gameplay more varied. On top of that, swapping our weapon skills around the hotbar means we no longer have to change our keybinds (don’t you just hate that system atm when swapping weapons?).
What do you guys think?
Please implement an ‘out of range message’ when using skills beyond their maximum range, since i have wasted countless ‘steals’ (i only play a thief in pve atm) and scorpion wires. The skill in question goes on (a reduced) cooldown without an effect. It would help a lot if the skill didn’t trigger and an ‘out of range message’ appears.
I suspect this affects most other classes as well…
