I had an idea about a gold sink. Server Chat! We have map chat, but it isn’t very effective if you are looking for a group to do a dungeon or something.
To prevent spam there would be two parameters to server chat:

1. Each message costs 10silver
2. Each account is only able to send one message per 10 or 15 minutes.

This would be used mainly for finding dungeon groups, etcetera, because nobody would be able to have a conversation like this. And of course, these two parameters could be changed, so in the future when people have tons of money it could be 1g, or 10g, etc.

They have an autoloot feature already, but you have to manually open the bags. Why not just have an additional option to automatically pick up bags the instant they drop?
In WvW the bags drop at your feet, so if you had the instant pickup turned on while chasing someone, it would still pick them up for you.

100% World Complete Unlocks Map Explore Consumable

Hello, I have 100% world completion on my main character, and now when I go to my other characters I have my entire map blurred. I find it very disappointing that I have to rediscover areas just to see the map details, and this actually discourages me from playing my new characters. My suggestion is that upon reaching 100% completion with a character, you get access to an NPC that sells account bound map consumables. These consumables would merely reveal the maps details – such as towns, paths/trails, heart locations, etc. – but would NOT automatically complete hearts, pois, vistas, skill points, and waypoints, they would just show up on the map.

Some people may say this takes the fun out of playing a new character, but making this a consumable makes this completely optional. I can’t imagine exploring 8 characters to 100% just to see the map details, merely to create a level of authenticity.

Some other people will say that Google Tyria was not around in the games time, but they are just wrong: http://www.gw2db.com/maps . And if you already explored the map, why is it so necessary to explore it again?

I am making this suggestion because it seems ridiculous that I will need to Alt+Tab to gw2db maps repeatedly every time I need to figure out how to get somewhere. I know that the developers really worked hard to get rid of unnecessary time consumers ingame, by doing things like dungeon tokens, guaranteed drops despite kill stealing, etc. But this is one area I think they missed.

Map discovery cross characters, remains incomplete

It seems pointless to have to rediscover areas already discovered, and totally unnecessary to have to go through the tedious hassle of alt tabbing a million times for each new character just to find out where you want to go.

Your new characters haven’t discovered the map. YOU have. They are completely new-born in there. But YOU KNOW where to take them. That’s is why you have a memory, to remember where to go. They need to discover things and say “there is no end to Tyria” or “oh, a new place to explore”

There is indeed an end to Tyria, characters will in fact become 100% regardless of having to reexplore areas. What I’m saying is it is a hassle trying to remember where all the hidden hearts are, etc.

“I guess I’ll go explore the map with my [8th character]… sigh.” that doesnt seem like fun to me. nobody will be saying “oh a new place to explore”

Why did the devs decide to make the game less farming and more playing? Because spending sooooooo much time doing repetitive tasks is not how a game is enjoyed.

And to the “sorry they didnt have Google Tyria” comment. THEY DO!! ITS CALLED http://www.gw2db.com/maps

If you really feel the mind-numbing repetitive task of running around the entire world EIGHT TIMES is essential to make the game authentic, then the devs should take my suggestion of doing the NPC with the map explore consumable. This would mean the map explore is OPTIONAL

On my main character I have 100% completion, and I spent hours alt+tabbing to maps on websites and back to the game to see where something is, what I missed, or how to get somewhere. My suggestion is that instead of hiding the map by default for every new character, reveal all the previously explored areas from any character. I’m NOT saying auto complete the maps, I’m saying reveal the POIs, vistas, SPs, waypoints, and map details such as towns or paths, etc, but still have them on zero completion for the characters that have yet to do them. It seems pointless to have to rediscover areas already discovered, and totally unnecessary to have to go through the tedious hassle of alt tabbing a million times for each new character just to find out where you want to go.

If it is too hard to code this type of communication inside all the accounts, why not make an NPC that sells account bound map unlocks to characters with 100%? The 100% character can buy it, then bank it. Then the new character on the same account can consume it, and have the areas explored. If this takes the fun out of the game for someone(I consider it dreadful, not fun. I find re-exploring to be the BIGGEST turn-off of playing a new character), it is totally optional. Once against I’m saying to only reveal map details such as where things are and show paths, etc, so that the entire map isn’t a giant blur. I’m not saying to auto-complete hearts, POIs, vistas, SPs, and waypoints.
