This isn’t really WvW-related but I have sympathy for your cause so check out www.uusikielemmi.fi if you want to learn some of the basics. Some of the main news sites are www.hs.fi, www.iltasanomat.fi and www.iltalehti.fi if you want to go the whole ‘reading a newspaper’ route to getting a feel for the language, but Finnish is so radically different to other languages (except Estonian) that it’s more difficult to deduce the meaning of words or sentences without learning the basics first.
If you speak to her today (6/12), say ‘hyvää itsenäisyyspäivä’ – she’ll be impressed at your knowledge of important Finnish days :P
Submitted in-game reports for these three earlier today, but wanted to add that they are still bugged as described above on Gandara. The Hellion Forest heart is possible to complete, but only by camping the one displaced spirit NPC that actually seems to work at the moment.
Same here, when I scroll past a certain point everything disappears.

You didn’t look at the website? Or the forums? Or a fansite? Ok, that’s plausible I guess – but what about the banner on the launcher? ‘Lost Shores Event 16-18 November, Read More…’. I’m guessing you just chose to ignore that. What about the extra NPCs in Lion’s Arch and all the buildup? Sorry, but Arenanet and the devs have gone as far as possible to let people know about what was happening this weekend short of putting a letter through your front door.

We’ve had a post complaining that Gandara hold 90% of the map at 4am and one showing Baruch Bay (SP) 3rd in their match.
Last week, we finished last in a relatively tight matchup which was won by Baruch Bay because of their superior night team. Over the week we improved our co-ordination and organisation (as well as off-peak numbers) and this is now paying dividends. Assuming BB’s night team stuck around, it appears they are now facing other servers with an off-peak presence, hence the fact that they are not steamrolling the map every night.
This seems to be the natural and intended evolution of WvWvW – servers with lower numbers on average through the ENTIRETY of the ‘war’ are eventually matched with similarly-populated opponents, while losing servers which have adapted to the 24/7 nature of the ‘war’ will come out ahead of servers further down the rankings. In time, the scores will look a lot more even in all tiers, but for now there are still going to be some creases, particularly on the high-mid and mid-low tier boundaries.
This obviously doesn’t cover exploits or the question of server transfers, but just my two cents on the night capping and ranking issues.
The BB, FR, Gandara matchup was fantastic up until midweek, really really close for most of the time. The only problem was that the whole map was green when I logged on every morning. First few days though, this was tight as hell, even if we (Gandara) took a couple of days to get going. If any international or even European guilds feel like filling our 2-6 GMT gap, feel free to head on over!
What Yertle said is absolutely correct, there’s been a real rise in communication, teamwork and leadership this week and now that we’re matching up against other mid-tier realms and money/karma is less of a sticking point than it initially was, I can’t wait for a clean slate and the next matchup.

Turning off auto-attack also seems to fix it after the channel duration has expired.
