Guild Wars 2

- Client freezes the patches on startup.
- Client sometimes doesn’t even open.
- No fix in about 2 years now.

I’ve played Guild Wars 2 on my MacBook for a long time, and then somehow it stopped working. After that, ArenaNet has done nothing (noticeable) to fix this problem. Mac users are disappointed, and you still advertise with the fact that GW2 also runs on Mac OS.

I’m glad I didn’t buy the expansion yet.

Guys..?! Can anybody please help me?! It has been a week.

I’ve decided to download Guild Wars 2 again, after a while of not playing the game.

I’ve downloaded the file on the gw2 website, as usual, and I’ve put the download client on my hard drive.

At first, everything seems to go just fine. It downloads at 4-5 MB/s, and it reaches 15-16-17% quickly. Then, all of a sudden, I see the 4-5 Mb/s rapidly decreasing, and after a few seconds it turns into 0 Kb/s.

Restarting the client, restarting the computer: nothing seems to work.

Could somebody please help me in resolving this problem?

I’m (usually) running GW2 on a MacBook, X Yosemite (10.10.2).
I’m installing GW2 on my external harddrive.
