Removing autotarget from cone AoE attacks.

I like this idea. I’ve found flamethrower much easier to use without a target selected (aoe cone attack), but found switching back out to pistol or rifle annoying without a target selected. This would be a great solution in that particular case at least.

home, weapon master, other suggestions

I’ve been keeping track of a list of suggestions as I’ve been playing. I’ve tried to be specific where it made sense. In the interest of brevity, I’ll get to it.

1) Have training golems for PvE, potentially in the home instance. With the continuing (and understandable) split in PvE and PvP skills, using the golems in the heart of the mists is losing it’s relevance for PvE. Adding this to the home instance could add more value to those areas, or you could add it to an area like Rata Sum if you want to keep people more visible.

2) Death/Down in combat log. This could be useful for adding context of what attacks were used on you at different times.

3) Conditions in the combat log. I understand this has been discussed and there are some technicial reasons for it I guess? Regardless, it is a very frustrating omission.

4) Condition kills count for weapon master. These are very grindy achievements, which I understand, but this just seems unduly punishing. I’m sure it’s probably related to the same technical limitation that keeps conditions out of the combat log, but I think it would be appreciated by many of us condi engineers (and necros, and anything condi really).

5) PvP kills count for weapon master. I can’t think of any reason this shouldn’t happen, honestly. Maybe there’s something I’m not thinking of.

6) Invisible/Oiled/? PvP bags. Add the specialized bags as purchaseable for glory in the heart of the mists. Make the costs substantially more than the 500 glory if it makes sense to do so (I would assume it does).

7) Keg brawl assist on manual turn in. Right now, you only get an assist if the player throws the keg brawl in. Could we get credit if they hand it in? I don’t even want to begin to count the number of assists I’ve lost because of this. It’s probably like 2 or 3. At least. Maybe even 4.

8) Armor/weapon display areas. Perhaps in the home instance? I understand you want to leave something to put in the bank (hooray wallet!), but I feel bad buying all the cultural armor for the achievement, then just leaving it in the bank. It would be nice if I could view it somewhere. Maybe this is more of a “player housing” thing and less of a “home instance” thing, but I figured I’d mention it.

9) Lastly, on a much different note, how about a new weapon master category for environmental weapons? That should drive achievement hunters like myself insane. Put it right next to giant slayer in a special category called “Wow, really?”.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

edit: addendum Sorry, I forgot to mention something. More of a comment than a suggestion. Why were there no changes to CoF or Fireheart Rise or SE or Dredgehaunt Cliffs after the Molten Alliance Living Story arc? I get that the 2 groups weren’t getting along and blamed each other for their failures, but I was disappointed to not be able to find a single reference to it anywhere in these bastions of these groups (or maybe I’m just not attentive enough). With the recent discussion about adding permanence to the living story, I’ll add my 2 cents. I’m all for breeding value and excitement through scarcity. But could we at least see some memento’s and reminders scattered throughout relevant places about to trigger those nostalgia feelers in our brains? Seeing the lion statue still being broken after halloween was cool, but even that has been fixed. Aside from the lighthouse from the Karka attack, I feel like there have been an abundance of missed opportunities here.
