I hope they add housing but without a crafted economy I worry about how much content it will add to the game.

I’ve never even seen a manifesto, my thoughts are strictly based on the game. When I like a game, I barely touch forums because I spend my time in it, hence my lack of posting here.

Song lyric aside, I’ve played GW2 casually since launch. It was fun but now that it’s been a while I’m looking to get a bit more from it. I want to feel like my actions have an impact on the world but lately everything has just been seeming more and more empty. I only ever played for entertainment, never played GW2 to be hardcore, never thought it was a MMO for hardcores, but I just, I dunno, I just feel like my character has 0 impact on the game. Feels like something is missing. Am I crazy, spring blues, GW2 burnout? Anyone else feeling the same way?

Between TES, DF, and CU the MMO pvp landscape will be shifting greatly in the next few years. I worry that if GW2 doesn’t adapt it could take a massive hit.

MMOs are alive, they change over time. GW2 can change. As for not being a hero. If the zone I’m talking about offers 3 factions, all of which are for a greater good, then none of them are bad or evil, but they must fight the other 2 factions to help achieve their greater good goal. See how easy it is with a little imagination

Nothing? Sigh I dont want to wait 3 yrs to get some decent meaningful inner server pvp in CU. I hope GW2 finds a way to add it.

I like GW2, but I want to LOVE GW2. I do LOVE what they have done with NPCs and the events and such. I’m really enjoying it. But I think it needs meaningful server PVP to take it to the next level. The first thing they can do to ALL servers is make it so we can see names in WVWVW
Now, onto my revolutionary game enhancing idea!
A new “hardcore” server is the first requirement. This server will be special.
You can flag yourself as an “outlaw” and pvp on your server against your server mates that also decided to be outlaws. It’s a flag, it’s a choice, why not do it? You are now attacked on sight by NPCs but you have access to a few “outlaw” outposts where you are safe. Some players can also flag themselves as defenders against outlaws. They can now fight outlaws on sight, but will be attacked by NPCs if they try entering any outlaw outposts. To make it clearer, outlaws can fight any other outlaws and defenders. Defenders can only fight outlaws.
New PVP land areas added. Make them just like the current game areas that are full of NPCs but PVP based. Have the territory controlled by 2 or 3 NPC factions, you align with one, and within that area you can fight the others for control of the forts, resources, towns, keeps, etc in those areas.
Yes? No? Yesno?

One core flaw in my opinion

I like GW2 but it feels like they are continuously adding typical MMO grind tactics like the new dailies and the new currencies to keep us on the wheel rather than adding reasons for use to keep playing and to interact with one another.

The currency additions remind me of the same tactics WOW uses ti keep players grinding. I just ignore them because I view them as archaic and I refuse to put time into such a lame excuse for a gameplay addition.

In my opinion, Dailies are a shallow gameplay mechanic

Daily achievements for Laurels.
Daily fractals for Pristine Relics.
Daily event chests for Loot / Precursors.
Weekly guild missions for Commendations.
Monthly achievements for Laurels.
Overall DR on Loot.

Everything is tied to the checklist now. Once completed, it is hard to find a reason to stay logged in.

So I did the PS with 1 character, story was meh but the combat stuff was fun. Now I’m onto a 2nd character and I have 0 desire to do any PS, is there a way to turn off that annoying message in the top right cover continuously telling me to do my PS?
