This issue is still not resolved, it indeed has to do with having your account stored on a server. All Cider ports games fail on this.
The workaround is to make your account a mobile account, that will make a local copy of your account on your mac. This tells me that somewhere the cider code is looking in a place that does not exist on your local computer.

I use a mac server, and we use network accounts (roaming profiles).
Programs should not notice any difference, as long as they use the ~/ as Home location.
Every single program that uses Transgaming technology fails to startup. Nothing happens. Some get a bouncing icon, but GW2 does nothing.
When I create a mobile account (a copy of the profile, stored locally) the game does boot. But, this means I have to sync every time when logging in. Someone in Transgaming code is a bug that looks at the /Users/accountname/Library instead of ~/Library is my guess. If not, you can at least get the idea of what is going on.
Hope you can get Transgaming to fix this, cause believe me I have tried sooooooo much to get some attention, mailed the guys myself but they do not respond. GTA, Sims2, GW2 etc etc will all start working when this gets fixed….
Really, Transgaming technology sucks.

Here’s my vote for a native client!
Would love a “windowed full screen” mode as well. I hate being stuck in the game without me being able to change itunes easily for instance, or check on a download or watch a website.
